We all no that this game is going to be ace, we all new that the others were ace, but untill this game comes out we just cant say how ace. all we need is to preorder it and get it the day it comes out, like me, just didnt get it from here, i got it from game for £70 (plus its cheaper in the uk), so you yanks dont get the best deal this time.

My son loves this game. He does all his chores so he'll be allowed to play. And he looks forward to it. A very good motivator. Plus he likes the helmet too.

ITS ALL ABOUT THE HELMET PERIOD. The games are one thing but the helmet is what you are paying for and YES it is a bit pricey.. okay ALOT pricey but guess what? We cannot find the helmet just any ol' where AND my husband freaked when he seen it! - in a good way!! He LOVES HALO and so does my kid mind you and to have this helmet? Oh my! The helmet even comes with a "sheath" like cover to keep the dust off of it. The only downfall is that it does not fit a human head or a babies and the front does not open up. I know i know it is to "hold" the games in but heck i wanted it to fit on the head. But who knows years from now we can always widen the hollow out inside so it can fit! ahahahahahha! At any rate there is a serial number and that IS a big deal to us.. oops i mean HIM. :D Freudian slip there.
Oh and another thing? The box this set comes in? WAY KEWL!! Keeping it!

Helmet scam

Great game, but you got suckered if you thought the helmet was either full-size or in any way functional. This one gets my 2007 CON OF THE YEAR.

Halo 3 LE- game as good as expected, extras not so much

I'm going to make my game review quick, because we really want to move on to the extras included with Legendary Edition. Halo 3 as a game is pretty much as most players expected - good, but nothing revolutionary or great. A decent variety of maps (but not hardly enough, even after the expansion pack), solid gameplay, an okay single player campaign, and a few cool modes make it fairly enjoyable - for a month or two, at most. That's when you begin to understand that the game is just repetitive, more slow-paced than most other FPS games, and has very sluggish controls. Picture the physics playing Call of Duty 4 on the moon, in a spacesuit, and you've pretty much got Halo 3 in a nutshell.

Now, as for Legendary Edition...
I already owned the standard Halo 3, and only purchased LE because it was $60. Why? No idea. It comes with some interesting extras - an entire extra DVD of videos, making-of content, and an art book. It also comes with a Spartan helmet - which you might not know, but CANNOT be worn. It stupidly has a plastic bottom mold that can only fit on the display stand it comes with - and after attempted tries to unscrew/disassemble this interior of the helmet, I found the only way you could possibly do it would be to break out the insides, and subsequently destroy it. Now I'm sure not everyone is really interested in goofing around and wearing the helmet - but I mean, let's be realistic here: what else are you supposed to do with it? For the standard $140 or whatever the price tag originally was, these extras are laughable at best. You get the world's coolest-looking paperweight, but that's about it.

If you liked Halo 2, you'll obviously like Halo 3, but only the most avid of competitive FPS gamer will keep playing it for more than a month or two. And the extras in LE are NOT worth the hefty price tag. If you can find a deal like I did, jump on it, but otherwise just go for the standard edition.

I got lucky and happened to run across the Legendary edition of Halo 3 on sale for 60 bucks. I like Halo 3 a lot, but I wouldn't call myself a fanboy or nothing. I don't think I would've bought the legendary edition for regular price for what is included with it. I've seen the Spartan helmet on ebay for around 40 bucks. The extra content is okay, but I don't think it's worth that much. It would've been nice to include something else like a plasma grenade or action figure with it. All in all It's still an awesome game, and hopefully next time Bungie does something else with the franchise they include a lil something extra with the "legendary edition" of whatever it is they're making.

Like many others, I'm waiting for the game, but will settle for the beta until June 6th... The game is still under 'development' and they said graphics aren't GoW Level but they're pretty damn good. (too badd)
Gameplay videos are absolutely astounding...
And for the people that don't know already, it's a best seller on most sites already...considering it hasn't even been released yet! Isn't that amazing?!

A must buy for the XBox 360

Extremely addicting and very fun.

It is seriously worth buying an Xbox 360 just to play this game.

The online part of the game is amazing.

If you just want to play the game and nothing else buy it, it rocks. The 2+ hour movie of the last two halo games was cool too. I was not thinking about buying the legendary halo 3, but after my friend bought it for me as an early Christmas gift I have changed my mind about the price tag. Sure it didn't cost me a thing, but if you have the money and you love halo, then buy this. The picture of the helmut does not do it justice. On the web sites I thougt it looked like a 5 inch bust of the Master Cheif, I was wrong. Even my wife was in shock by the almost life sized helmut. This has my vote for best video game collectable ever.

halo 3 is an awesome ending to an awesome story arc. The game was great from beginning to end. The legendary edition is awesome as well. It has alot of bonus material, but I feel there could have been more. I still don't regret buying it. The helmet is sweet!
