Good Game

This game is excellent in graphics, sound, realism, but, i disliked the game modes, I mean, there are not a lot of ways and modes to play, only in versus (two player), the single, and a carreer that is not so easy to understand. I did, like in an hour. Everything else is great, I recommend it if you like a fighting game

Decent game ^_^

Pretty good game, the graphics, the sound, and the areas is awesome. The only problem is there is no ending for the characters, but it still a cool game.

Nice Views, but not much much fun..

The views and some scense are great..
The game it self is nice, but its like an upgrade of the old school games..
The player control is a bit different than the training but you will get use to it...
Enjoy...

good graphics, not so fun

It's the same old Virtua Fighter. I'm disappointed that the game has not evolved more throughout the years, especially with this release. You'd think that being hosted on the PS3 that they'd find better ways to illustrate the true power of the hardware but I think this game could have been done on the PS2 as far as aesthetics go.

As far as the fighting, like I said before it is much of the same thing. I am a proponent of realistic fight games, such is why I've always preferred VF over Tekken: it takes true skill to be a master at this game. The fighting mechanics are the only thing that provides staying power if you've already played/owned VF4 Evo. The quest mode returns and so does the player customization mode. If those were your cup of tea, go for it.

The AI isn't all that fierce either. I have yet to be defeated with Lau and I am 56-0, similar to how I started with VF4 Evo...having not lost until after my hundredth win.

In all, this series is losing ground. I love VF but come on...couldn't they have spoiled us with a Fighter's Megamix 2? That would have floored me.

No online gaming No Analog Stick Control

Playing with computer becomes boring after a while. No online gaming
and no analog stick support. They could have done a lot better for a 60 bucks games. The only thing great about is graphics.

Something about this game made it feel dated, and not in a good 'classic' way either. Gameplay is slow and often boring. The graphics are very nice and this game can play at high resolutions if you have a nice TV. They released Tekken: Dark Resurection on the playstation store for download, and its a better game for less than half the price of VF5.

Ok until Tekken is out

To be honest, I bought it as a time-killer until Tekken is released. Until then, I still beat my friends up when they stop by to play. LOL!

disappointed

I got Virtua Fighter 5 when Toys R Us was having their buy 2 get 1 free sale, and this was the free game. I only chose this game because of all the good reviews and high score on ign.com. I was very disappointed when I actually played it. Its just a nice looking, side-scrolling fighting game. I'm going to wait for Soulcalibur IV before I buy another fighting game.
