EyeTOY? I think not!

Eye Toy anti grav was possibly the worst game I have ever bought! There was some complete false advertising too. The commercials said you could walk around the house and outside and it would still follow you. It definitely doesnt do that! It does just about everything but that. It cahnns you out of 50 bucks it barely works without the right lighting, and can hardly follow your body movement. The first eyetoy and eye toy groove were much better, if you are looking for a good game buy one of those not eye toy anti grav. I sure wish i didn't

I purchased this game to supplement the eye toy camera. I've already gone through three different disc, each resulting in a "disc read error". Through continued research, this game only plays on brand new PS2 units and not former, although less than two year old, units. Problem being that this game is copied on a BLUE disc which is more difficult for the PS2 to read than other titles. I've since sent numerous emails to Sega asking for some reasoning, but they've all gone un-answered. The write up for the game sounds interesting and probably enjoyable if you can get the game to load. Based on my experience, I rate this game a single star for quality and service support from Sega. Note there are other titles like the Nickelodeon game which perform flawlessly.

My son tried it and he didn't like it because it was so hard to control the movement.

Great game but kind of hard......at least for me

I got this game for Christmas and it was the first one of my new games I tried playing.Dont get me wrong im really good at video games. I beat ratchet and clank going commando in 2 days, spongebob movie game in 3 day,my cousins game for xbox dead or alive 3 in 15 minutes (story mode),and a series of unfortunant events in 4 days, must I go on?Anyways for the antigravity thing the main reason I cant beat a race is because my sister keeps on moving into the area im playing in.I think the overall game is okay but it could be better.

This game is the best and worst of the eyetoy. When it works well it is an awesome game. When it doesn't respond, which is way too often, then it sucks. I've tried lots of light, little light, freaking spotlights even.
The problem is that when the camera craps out it totally removes all the enjoyment of the game. Say for example you are racing and all of the sudden the eyetoy thinks you are moving to the left (but you are standing up straight). So you try to compensate and end up crashing into a wall. You then pause the game and try to recalibrate. It works ok for a while and then it thinks you are ducking or you hand is your face or something. By this point you have lost the race and are cursing furiously. Repeat as necessary.
It totally pulls you out of the game and often I pulled the game out of my PS2 when it happens.

No Controller Needed

When I first bought this I wondered if it would be hard to do stuff since you are the controller but I found out it is actually quite simple. This game has surprisingly good graphics. It is a good first game for your eye toy. Eye toy allows you to be put inside the game. You really have to practice to get good at this game but it is fun. Great for multiplayer (if it doesnt make you look like an idiot jumping around). Anyone any age can play it. Its a good change from sitting in your chair and pressing buttons. Keeps you exercised but you can get tired out from playing this game. My negative comment is you get tired of jumping around the whole game.

more fun than setting stuff on fire...

Talk about the next generation of gaming, this game is so awesome I reccomend to everyone and anyone. This is a PERFECT Christmas present, and is for sure my new favorite game. Although there are a few draw backs to the game, which I have experienced myelf:

*-*LIGHTNING*-* oh my GOD the eye toy is annoying, this is the biggest draw back to the game is the picky lighting and calibration, if you don't have a room with decent lighting i suggest you don't get it. My game is SO picky I had to buy a shop light just for the thing to work. Kind of a draw back, and a bit aggrivating...
*-*Another thing to add to the lighting is the calibration, the eye toy is out dated for the technology used in anti-grav, making it a bit difficult when the lighting is just slightly off. It can mistake your hand or arm for your face, so when you move your arm up to reach for something, it thinks your jumping. Something that REALLY made me mad...
*-*Yet another thing to add to the lighting is that if you get the lighting to work my just well turning on a light, be warned the stupid camera picks up shadows. So the shadows of your arms is might mistake for your head!

But if you do get it working, it is so much fun, just pure awesomeness in a box. Assuming you have some paitence, this game is for you. Even for the less physically fit among us. That's another cool part about this game is that you can get a work out from just waving your arms around, crouching and jumping. So if your a lazy game (like myself) who doesn't want to be bothered exercising, this is another game for you! Exercise and fun all in one.

Another thing I wanna point out is the soundtrack. Personally I like pop/punk, but I really like the music. A cool thing about the music is that it's not jsut computer generated, ad actually band worked ot make a soundtrack! It's awesome.

The graphics are nice, not awesome, but nice. Since your mostly moving the whole time it really doesn't matter all that much. So now you PS2 owners won't have to be jealous of Xbox owners who have Halo 2, now you can shove a futuristic game in thier face that no one else with a different console can play. Although on Xbox the graphics would be better, PS2 had it first. And I agree with another comment in the last review, online play would be AWESOME! My mom would start to wonder why I would be crouching and talking to the television, but hey, whatever.

My overall impression is get the game, it's worth a try. And if the ligting really doesn't work for you, just return it and buy something else. GET THIS GAME! IT'S AWESOME! The only thing that brought down my rating is the lighting thing, it was a gloomy day today, and there for my game wouldn't work quite right.

Addictive AEROBIC video game - TRIMS WAISTLINE!

I HATE SONY. Those chickenshoots only market this fabulous workout joy to hyperactive teens who they can't get to sit still long enough to play a regular video game. It's like they don't know America is suffering a precedent setting obesity epidemic and one of the biggest challenges of the epidemic is getting people to ENJOY exercise.

Hello Sony, you jerks. Nothing in the world sells better than things that say they'll help with the weight challenge whether they actually help or not. You've produced the greatest workout toy ever and you lousy dogs are too heartless to care and too stupid to realize the money in marketing to the teens and adults that can truly benefit from this game.

I'm 51 years old, almost 52. I weighed 265# when I started playing this game and I'm losing 5 to 6 pounds a month. I don't play an hour at a time. But I turn it on in the morning and every time I walk past the tv I play two to four sets. Once I accidentally played it way too much. It didn't feel like I'd done all that much till I went to bed and then I started aching all over. It wasn't bad aching, it was good aching. It was the kind of aching that said, I don't care how light this workout feels when you're doing it - that's just an illusion based on the fact that the more fun you have, the less exercise feels like work.

One last thing, not only is it a great addictice aerobic video game, of all the parts of your body you feel the next day, you feel your sides, your waist and your rib cage the most. Can you believe that?? Sony has a game that tones and trims your midsection, burns calories, you can enjoy it with no one watching, and the idiots in marketing will die and go to hades before they ever mention these vitally important details in a commercial.

I really hate doing their advertising for them, but it's not for them, it's for all the overweight people suffering boring exercise programs.

Sincerely,
Lollie Dot Com

Loads of fun!!!

After getting the eye toy set up, which was much easier than some of the other reviews indicate, this game was awesome! Occasionally you will need to recalibrate, but normally my wife and I could switch with each other even in mid-game. I couldn't believe how much fun antigrav is! It's challenging enough to not get boring but easy enough to keep you playing. I highly recommend this game to anyone with a PS2.
