Talk about the next generation of gaming, this game is so awesome I reccomend to everyone and anyone. This is a PERFECT Christmas present, and is for sure my new favorite game. Although there are a few draw backs to the game, which I have experienced myelf:

*-*LIGHTNING*-* oh my GOD the eye toy is annoying, this is the biggest draw back to the game is the picky lighting and calibration, if you don't have a room with decent lighting i suggest you don't get it. My game is SO picky I had to buy a shop light just for the thing to work. Kind of a draw back, and a bit aggrivating...
*-*Another thing to add to the lighting is the calibration, the eye toy is out dated for the technology used in anti-grav, making it a bit difficult when the lighting is just slightly off. It can mistake your hand or arm for your face, so when you move your arm up to reach for something, it thinks your jumping. Something that REALLY made me mad...
*-*Yet another thing to add to the lighting is that if you get the lighting to work my just well turning on a light, be warned the stupid camera picks up shadows. So the shadows of your arms is might mistake for your head!

But if you do get it working, it is so much fun, just pure awesomeness in a box. Assuming you have some paitence, this game is for you. Even for the less physically fit among us. That's another cool part about this game is that you can get a work out from just waving your arms around, crouching and jumping. So if your a lazy game (like myself) who doesn't want to be bothered exercising, this is another game for you! Exercise and fun all in one.

Another thing I wanna point out is the soundtrack. Personally I like pop/punk, but I really like the music. A cool thing about the music is that it's not jsut computer generated, ad actually band worked ot make a soundtrack! It's awesome.

The graphics are nice, not awesome, but nice. Since your mostly moving the whole time it really doesn't matter all that much. So now you PS2 owners won't have to be jealous of Xbox owners who have Halo 2, now you can shove a futuristic game in thier face that no one else with a different console can play. Although on Xbox the graphics would be better, PS2 had it first. And I agree with another comment in the last review, online play would be AWESOME! My mom would start to wonder why I would be crouching and talking to the television, but hey, whatever.

My overall impression is get the game, it's worth a try. And if the ligting really doesn't work for you, just return it and buy something else. GET THIS GAME! IT'S AWESOME! The only thing that brought down my rating is the lighting thing, it was a gloomy day today, and there for my game wouldn't work quite right.

More fun than it looks.

I just played a demo of the game at Best Buy and it is way more fun and more challenging than it looks.
With this Eyetoy game, you don't see yourself on the screen, but it tracks your movements to control a hoverboarder.
When you duck, he/she ducks. The same goes for jumping and moving left and right. Sometimes there are things you have to reach out and grab and you really have to reach sometimes!
You can also pull off tricks by moving your arms around in a deliberate fashion for each trick as well as jumping and crouching.
Don't be bothered that it comes with the camera, because all new games cost $50.00. Sony also believes this game will reach a different audience than the other eyetoy games, so it comes with a camera. I would say if you're an eyetoy fan, absolutely definately get this. You won't be disappointed.
Plus, it provides a decent workout without getting exhausted or even tired. But you will break a sweat.
I'll write another review when I have the game in my hands on Nov. 10th.

This... game... rules.

I just got my copy a couple days ago. The other Eyetoy games are... eh, fun... but this is the first REAL game for the Eyetoy camera. In the other games you see yourself onscreen, so in Antigrav though, it plays like a real videogame, you control your character in the game by moving, so you jump, he jumps -- you turn, he turns -- you reach out, he reaches out and grabs stuff. This is the future of videogames. it's awesome that you can do this in your home on a regular console, i can't wait til X-box gets this.

The game itself is fun too, it's kind of like SSX, but... eh, not really. in this, you're a hoverboard racer in the future, so you're racing through the cities against other hoverboarders racers in the future. the best is playing against your friends (and beating them). 4 people can play, one at a time, but it records your run, so when the next person goes, your racer repeats your run againsrt them, so it's just like they are racing against you. by the time the last one goes, he's racing against the 3 other players real runs. this is hella rad.

sometimese the camera gets off a little, and you have to just adjust your lights in your livign room, but it's not bad. also, this game comes with the camera for free, so don't be fooled in thinking you have to buy the camera separate. now they just need to save your runs and send them online, so you can race against other people over 'the internets!'

go buy this now.

BEST EYE TOY GAME EVER

I thought that this game was awsome. I just got it today and im already adicted to it. And its not true what everybodys saying about you have to have perfect lighting, the room that I play in doesn't have good light at all, at first i thought I wouldnt be able to play because to red light on the eye toy was bliking but when your getting your head locked into the screen there is a "dim room" option that will make your room on the screen bright enough so that the red light goes off and you can play just like if you were playing in a room with perfect light. so you need to get it even if your room doesnt have very good lighting. So anyways back to how you play the game, if you want to turn left you len left and if you want to turn right you lean right. You can even grab things, just hold out your hand a certain distance to grab what you need to. If you want to duck you just duck. If you want to jump you actually jump, the only bad thing abought jumping is that its delayed, so you need to jump a little before the object you need to get over. It is a little hard to get use to at first but you get the hang of it in like 15 min. There are 2 modes in solo, there is "style" and "speed". In "style" you win by getting more points than your opponents by doing tricks or by grabing points. "speed" iis just racing but you can still do tricks so that you fill up your boost bar. And its even greater that there is a multiplayer type game so that you can challenge your frinds. But your not all on the screen at once you have to try to either beat your oppenets time or points. And you can also get more stuff my winning alot so that you can upgrade your board and player. And it comes with the eye toy for 50$ but I think just the game will come out soon. But most new games are 50$ anyway. Its defenatly worth it, I strongly reccomend it!

This is the game I was looking for

I am an overweight 31-year-old female. I bought a PS2 and DDR with a dancemat after reading stories about how people got addicted to DDR and lost weight playing it. But I never got into DDR and it the mat was always in my way. So I hid the mat under the sofa and never play it.

Then I bought an EyeToy with that came with Play. I found some of the games fun, but they were too short, and got boring quickly.

Then I bought Antigrav. And this was the PS2 game I was looking for. I can't get enough of it. Unfortunely, due to my TV and EyeToy facing a window, I can only play at night. I'm looking into getting a thick thermal curtain in hopes that will help.

Antigrav isn't strenous, and it won't get your heart rate up too high, but its good for playing for longer periods of time without realizing your getting some exercise.

I love exploring the tracks and discovering new paths. The graphics are pretty nice and I like the colors.

One piece of advice... If you are having trouble hitting the targets you may need to adjust the EyeToy so that you have to stand closer to it. If you have to reach to hit the start or lock buttons then you're too far away. Once I figured that out I did much better.

This is THE best eyetoy game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This game is totally cool!! This is a great way to get exercise!!!!! The game has 5 rockin levels!!! You fly through the sky on hoverboards!! Totally like the future!!! Great for anyone looking for a workout!!! You move your head and arms!! You can jump over obstacles, duck under obstacles, fly through rings above the water, and launch into Turbo!!!!

note: on the fatts- once you center your head to start the race crouch to launch your turbo. at the last rail switch at the dead end turn left stay in the middle or you will get hit!!!. on waterworks-when you hit the tunnel that leads to the water turn to your right at some cans and hit the rail if you want to jump the opening make sure you are going fast. if you miss the rail switch when you hit the tunnel again stay to your right and a rail will come so you can hit it and it will lead you to some rings and you will fly above the water instead of hitting the waves and it slowing you down. on skyway- try landing tricks on the rails while in mid air it could prevent you from crashing. if you still fall off try stopping your tricks a couple of feet away from the rail and just steer gently onto the rail. when you come to the second drop off DO NOT start doing tricks!!! that is a street with MANY cars!!! DO NOT hit the red rings at the end of the level you will not make it in first!!

Addictive AEROBIC video game - TRIMS WAISTLINE!

I HATE SONY. Those chickenshoots only market this fabulous workout joy to hyperactive teens who they can't get to sit still long enough to play a regular video game. It's like they don't know America is suffering a precedent setting obesity epidemic and one of the biggest challenges of the epidemic is getting people to ENJOY exercise.

Hello Sony, you jerks. Nothing in the world sells better than things that say they'll help with the weight challenge whether they actually help or not. You've produced the greatest workout toy ever and you lousy dogs are too heartless to care and too stupid to realize the money in marketing to the teens and adults that can truly benefit from this game.

I'm 51 years old, almost 52. I weighed 265# when I started playing this game and I'm losing 5 to 6 pounds a month. I don't play an hour at a time. But I turn it on in the morning and every time I walk past the tv I play two to four sets. Once I accidentally played it way too much. It didn't feel like I'd done all that much till I went to bed and then I started aching all over. It wasn't bad aching, it was good aching. It was the kind of aching that said, I don't care how light this workout feels when you're doing it - that's just an illusion based on the fact that the more fun you have, the less exercise feels like work.

One last thing, not only is it a great addictice aerobic video game, of all the parts of your body you feel the next day, you feel your sides, your waist and your rib cage the most. Can you believe that?? Sony has a game that tones and trims your midsection, burns calories, you can enjoy it with no one watching, and the idiots in marketing will die and go to hades before they ever mention these vitally important details in a commercial.

I really hate doing their advertising for them, but it's not for them, it's for all the overweight people suffering boring exercise programs.

Sincerely,
Lollie Dot Com

Loads of fun!!!

After getting the eye toy set up, which was much easier than some of the other reviews indicate, this game was awesome! Occasionally you will need to recalibrate, but normally my wife and I could switch with each other even in mid-game. I couldn't believe how much fun antigrav is! It's challenging enough to not get boring but easy enough to keep you playing. I highly recommend this game to anyone with a PS2.

Must have addition!

I'm not your average gamer. Neither are my kids. I'm 41 and they're 7 & 4. But this is a must have for your Playstation collection.

The EyeToy introduces a new medium into gaming. No longer confined to a gamepad, all the action is controlled by your body movements. Move your head to the right and the virtual hoverboard rider in Antigrav moves to the right. Swing your arm up and your rider performs a roll. This takes one of the best Playstation games like SSX (snowboarding) to a whole new dimension. You really feel like your controlling your board with your body - not just your thumbs.

The game requires some key calibration. My 7 year initially got frustrated by not calibrating her head movements right. She also tends to move her body too much from the camera and the calibration comes undone. Once she kept her feet still, she managed the hoverboard with ease.

The broad graphics are amazing. The virtual surfing environments are really quite mesmorizing. Upclose they show some blocky elements and lose some realism.

My daughter and I have had fun playing this one together. The original EyeToy had some juvenile games. This one is fun for the whole family.

for good and for awesome

This is a really awesome game.

The camera tracks your head and arms, causing the character on the screen to move his/her arms and lean and crouch and jump.
It is similar to the camera games found in museums but works much better because you can calibrate the camera to the correct height.

In order to play this game, you should be in a bright room (but not with the light behind you) and have good contrast against the wall. You may need a pair of red or brightly colored gloves or socks on your hands to help the camera track your arms and tell them apart from your head. If the lighting or contrast is not good your character may randomly wave its arms or jump when you put your hand up. Also you can not have anything moving behind you, and must have enough space behind the TV.

The game is about hoverboarding. There are four types of movement:
1. Ground- you are on the ground and can pick up power-ups and fire your turbo
2. Jump- you've gone off a ramp and can do tricks in the air to get points
3. Rail- you stick to a rail, catch things with your arms that speed you up, and go under and over obstacles
4. Flight- You fly through rings, probably the fastest way to travel

You can play as a race or to earn points, and you can unlock new levels after beating the newest one. Multiplayer is the same but taking turns and comparing scores.

It comes with an Eyetoy. If you want an Eyetoy I reccomend getting Antigrav.

Also you can get a decent workout out of this game.
