Not Grand Turismo

If U are like me you enjoyed Grand Turismo & G.T.2 for the way the cars drove! very realistic as video games go, but the graphic's could have been better, and no damage modeling? Now I bought a Dreamcast and this game hoping to get at least the better graphics, Well thebackground's are sweet! but the car's leave alot to desired. The game also left me cold with the way it drove, none to realistic. If U like your games heavy on the arcade side this game will please U, but if U have a drivers license and want to live out your racer's fantasies this game will disapoint! To bad, So much more power with the Dreamcast and except for Ferrari F-355 there does not seem to be a decent driving sim out there.

I bought Sega GT and got it all scrached up from invideo2002. I wish I can tell you how fun that game is, but I can't because of invideo2002 that gave me a full scrached CD. I'll just say how fun it is by looking on the screenshots.

Go buy a Dreamcast if your looking for something to play and the Playstation 2 is not doing it for you. Because I know my playstation 2 is just collecting dust, from the lack of games on it at least the Dreamcast has some pretty good games and a large driving game library. I know this game is not the most original, and is like an exact copy of Gran Turismo, but still its a great game. There are many cars to choose from, and it might not have the physics down quite as good as Turismo, but it is still a very challenging and fun game. So, I suggest if you don't own a Dreamcast and you are looking for some good racing games to play go buy one, they are such cheap systems your and ... if you don't go enjoy these great games made for this system.

Sega GT, The best racing game for Sega Dreamcast

This game is so vacscious. I have played many racing games in my life and so far this one is the best. The game has excellent graphics and it seems so real for example they have really fast cars like in the movie The Fast And The Furious, some of the cars in the game are Ford Cobras (like a mustang), an Acura NSX and a Dodge Viper. And they have over 130 cars in it. The game is like Gran Turismo but its better you can get your licence, race in three different championships, and buy and sell tight cars. When you play the game it takes a few races to get used to the game but its worth the time. This game also includes a minigame for you to play on your VMU it allows you to race cars on your VMU and you can play other games on it also. Overall this game is excellent. If you are thinking about getting this game get it, its a great price for a great game.

SEGA GRAND TORISMO

This game is pretty good. It is very hard. Unlike many other games where you can go from 6th place to 1st in one minute. It is hard to hold these cars in the road. I was hoping there would be more cars that I had heard of. Many of these must be overseas models. I also would like to have more tracks. This game is worth having and takes a whole lot of time to master.

Sega GT - RACE

Wow, this game is good! I just bought it at my local EB for 8 bucks. I brought it home and played it with my friend, and we played it. The cars steered out of control, and they seemed to have a magnetic attraction to the wall!

Eventually, I got used to it and mastered the game. The scenery is the best I've seen. I constantly find myself staring at the massive buildings, rocky canyons, instead of the road. Very great visuals, very slick.

The prize of this game is Championship mode. It is amazing. You can buy lots of licensed cars, tune them to perfection, then race them. The idea to get licenses in order to unlock new circuits can be good, but when you just underqualify by .20 seconds, boy it's frustrating. The single race mode is very nice, and adds to the replayability. A very cool part is the "carrozerria" (like a pizzeria), where you can build your own car. But you have to have licenses to do that by racing, blah blah, and you have no more than 3 customizations to build your own car.

The CPU doesn't offer that much of a challenge. For example, I was in a Cappucino in an Open race. The Cappucino had only 64 HP and around 600 CC. I raced a Ford Mustang, which has around 400 HP and 5000 HP, and he won by about 10 seconds. And another time I raced someone with the same exact car and I beat them by 5 seconds. Stick to Time Attack for a fun challenge.

All in all, a decent racing game. One of the best I've played since Gran Turismo 3. If you have a tight wallet and you want a good racing game that'll keep you occupied for 10-20 hours, pick this one up.
