Yowsers-- this game is not very good

With a framerate that slows to a crawl and a less-than-engaging linear design, Slave Zero is a very disappointing game. The graphics are nice-looking, but actually playing the game will make you feel like you're watching a slide show. It makes me wonder how it got all these good reviews. My guess? Infogrames has their employees post glowing reviews on their own games to gloss over the few REAL customer reviews.

Hey, love the action, great weapons, and bots, but is it just me.. or is the ultra slave unbeatable? Zero has lovely gameplay, and I like the game, but it seems to me that I gather alot of weapons, and I know the plot line, have enormous health, and still I cannot beat the last man. Am I to resort to codes or what?

all around fun!

this game is most definately a good game. the graphics may be lacking a little bit but the game is fun. the multiplayer isn't bad either. first of all, i like the idea of upgrading weapons so you never get tired of the same old gun. i also like the way where you can choose between 1st person to 3rd person views, the plot line is also interesting. i also like the idea where you can save the game after each little sub- mission instead of finding some kinda object in the game to save the game on. there is a lot of shooting and action but plenty of ammo so you don't have to stomp or hit your enemies. the game is primarily about a 600 ft. tall robot who is helping the rebels defeat the bad guy and so on.i really enjoyed this game.

This game rocks

I love this game though i'm still only on the first level. It is the funest game that i have on my dreamcast. It is a must buy for those who love action war games. And for the price that I got it at. Well I'll just say this it is worth your ten dollars. If you are intereted in robotics you would probably love this game. This is definitely not a game for wosses that get scared easilly.

Way cool game!

I dont know why the other reviews say this game was terrible. On my opinion, this game is really cool! During the game you get cool weapon upgrades and get to blow up building and cars and even people!(When you shoot a person with a machine gun, they die and fall to the floor and leave a puddle of blood!)In case you didn't know you are a colossal robot tramping through cities blowing up robots! The only thing is that when there is too much action on the screen the graphics get a little choppy. But if you go to options, you can change your view to first person. This way the graphics seem to run smoother. There are not many codes for the game though. And when I tried them they didn't seem to work. But over all, I would give this game 5 stars!

i had such high expectations for this game, but after i boughtthis was i let down. it starts off good but gradually gets verybad. this game has good ideas: unrelenting enemies, cool looking robots. those are the good points. the bad points are very low frame rate when there are multiple enemies on the screen at the same time, also the sound qaulity is bad. this could be a great game if these problems didn't exist better luck next time infogames.

A mecha-sized letdown...

Slowdown? On the Dreamcast? In just the intro even? This isn't right, but it's the truth.

"Slave Zero" could have done so many things right and ended up doing so much wrong. With overly linear maps, a graphics engine that crumbles to a grinding halt when any significant number of enemies is on the screen and quite possibly the worst multiplayer I've seen in a long time, the only reason to pick up "Slave Zero" is if you are a total mech otaku and see it really, really, really cheap.

A maybe not!

This game seriously lacks a constructive plot. It is a disappointment to me and the graphics seem the equavalent of a playstation game. Although I wouldn't suggest this game, my opinion is based on the relatively short time I've auctually owned it

Underrated!

You're a huge robot running through a city demolishing stuff. What's not to like? Graphics look good and the gameplay works well.
