This game is great! You must go trough a carrer mode where you skate different tracks and pick up different things to earn money. The tracks are very detailed and the graphics and very realistic. The object is to make your person better and buy better equipment to skate on. By the time you get through the career mode your skills get so much better that goals and objects that you thought you couldn't get can now be reached. This game is a must have.

It could have been better but still a great game

First of all I was hoping that it would have creat a skater and skate park that would have been sweeeeeeeet----its hard in the beging to learn the controls and get used to playing it for the first time but after 15-30min(it sounds alot longer then it really is)you get used to it and it becomes natural- thps2 has 13 pro skaters and 6 levels and 1 bouns level to unlock(but only if your good) and like allthe other THPS2
you can play as Spider Man and Mindy ( I juss used the cheat to unlock them)
over all a great game except for the NO CREATE A SKATER/SKATEPARK
AND THERES NO 2PLAYERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OTHER THEN THAT ITS COOL
i would rent it to see if you like it if you buy
but i think its WORTH IT

Good not great

This [(~WAS~)] a good game when i got it but it got boring pretty fast. IT's a good game but there's not enough variety its to easy at the beginning and its to hard at the end it wasn't that good of a game.

Tony hawk's pro skater 2 is possibly the gba game out now. Grapicaly it supases what any one thought possible on any portable system. I had bought this game about a month ago and i have played it long enough to give a very detailed review.

Graphics: Thps has amazing graphics the menus come staight from the playstation. the characters are poliganal which alows them to move very smoothly and naturaly. the backgroudns in the game are very nice as well if you have played the playstation version you will automaticaly know you're way around.

Sound: because they could not fit a liscenced sountrack into the game they had to make up there own, which is not all that bad because the songs are all very good the menu song even came from the playstation. The grinding and skating sounds are all very realistic, when they fall you can hear them grunt as well. I recommend you wear headphones because it sounds clearer and more detailed in stereo.

Gameplay: It takes a little getting used to because of the angle and lack of buttons but once you get used to the controls you will be getting 500 000 points easily. The L button is used for flip tricks R for grabs B for ollies A for grinds and the d pad for rotations.

Cons: There are a few things I think they could of added to make the game even better.

1: A multiplayer mode

2: A create a skater mode this is the one i would like to have had the most.

3: though this might be impossible on the gba there is no skatepark creater.

4:they cut out 2 levels from the playstation version and some of the parks don't have the same secret places (not that that's bad)

Thps for the gba is definitly a game to add to youre collection and will never get old until thps3 comes out (it has been confirmed just go to the activisiono2 website)on gba. I woul definitly recomend it over xgames skateboarding.

The single most incredible portable game you will ever play.

There is nothing quite like nosegrinding a rail, ollieing into a manual and getting enough air off a ramp to rack up serious points with a 540 kickflip and a quick sacktap. And I don't even own a skateboard! Tony Hawk 2 is by far the most incredible portable game in existence. With plenty of skaters to play as and secrets to uncover, you'll be in a skaters paradise. An isometric viewpoint means a fixed camera anglethat allows for semi-3D graphics that trick your eyes into thinking a flat screen is a school full of grindable rails and awesome gaps. And when they say no rail is un-grindable, they aren't kidding! You can grind everything from signs to fences to blue cow statues! Take it from someone who has explored every level inch by inch, from downtown New York to the rooftops of Boston. The only thing missing is multiplayer, but the designers more than made up for it with plenty of ramps, rails, and gaps. And if you yearn for multiplayer madness and custom tracks and skaters, just wait for Tony Hawk 2 for the N64! I guarrantee it'll be a blast!

AWSOME game, but improvents could be made...

I got a GBA and this WAY COOL game (+ Earthworm Jim) 2 days ago...and I LOVED it! It's also cool 'cuz if you use cheats, the game is so boring, so you kinda want to play without them. i still like the spiderman code: pause, then hold R and press up up down down left right left right B A start :) It [stinks] though cuz there ain't no multiplayer or skate park builder! That's ok cuz it's still a cool game!!

this game is terrible!!!!!!!

Gameboy has never been better. Tony Hawk is challenging and it is 3D. The graphics are as good as nintendo 64. It is cool to play multiplayer and you can play it for hours.
