Magical...

Harkening back to the whimsical style of my personal favorite HM game, HM 64, the cartoon-ish characters may take some getting used to, but it's worth it. There are so many characters to interact with in this game that I have found it hard to befriend even half of them! The option to play a male or female in one game is also very nice. My siblings can choose their gender without having to buy a seperate game. There are loads of options to earn money and expand your home, fields, and livestock housing. There are also many of events to keep the dull day-to-day monotony at a low.

The bad points are; there are so many npc's this is hard to make friends and continue their story lines (if you enjoy doing that). Also, your land is very small and you will only have room for a barn if you move your house to another plot (which you can buy). Comleteing some of the muscial note gaining tasks can be difficult and tedious. Chickens become pretty pointless after you get cows and sheep and just take up space on your limited land.

All in all this is the second best Harvest Moon I have ever played (and I have played them all).

Another Harvest Moon Must Have

I rented this game one weekend when I was sick and stuck inside. A few days later when it was time to return the game, I had to buy it.
In this edition you get to choose whether you want to be a girl or boy in the game. You have several character to choose from for marriage. Some are outgoing and easy to befriend, and other are shy and difficult. You really have to work hard to impress some!
There is still farming and mining, and the harvest sprites. But in this one you also have to collect musical notes. Most of them you find just by doing everyday chores. You can get notes for being outside, or being in the rain,... just about anything really! Once you collect so many notes, it becomes a musical instrument that (I hope) will eventually awaken the Harvest Goddess. I haven't actually beaten it yet.
There is a new aspect of choosing which plot of land to buy. There's a certain amount of strategy to it because one lot is very large but not very fertile, another is very fertile but not so big, and another is somewhat fertile with medium size. You can actually buy all three once you have enough money, but you still have to decide which one you want to put your house on.
The playability is good. The controls are easy to master, as usual. The characters are still cute and the music charming.
This is a fantastic addition to the Harvest Moon series. If you are a HM fan, I strongly suggest purchasing it.

This Game is so much fun! I love it! While there are a few things that I would change about this if I could, they are minor and don't deminish the game at all. In my opinion this is the Best Harvest Moon I've played yet.

My son loves this game and has been playing it a lot. He learns about taking care of animals on his farm. It quickly has become one of his favorites.

This is a great game in the Harvest Moon series. The graphics are cute and bright the music is fun and is a pleasure to hear every day instead of a pain. The gameplay is like the rest of the games and involves crop growing and raising animals on a farm. There are plenty of festivals to enjoy throughout the year, lots of interesting characters, a variety of mini-games and a wide range of choice for marriage. The best thing about it is the ability to play as either a boy or a girl! It's a brilliant game that will keep you playing for months.

now i must admit the thing with the melody and the princess story and even the title of the game is gay but other thent hat it is by far one of the most funest harvest moons ever, it is like thay took the best things from back to natuer and added in some of the complex stuff from wonderfull life (wich 2 has a gay name.. and it is a good one too)

now at first when i looked at it i rememberd the game cubes version of wonderful life and remember how it was lacking so much and the ps 2 version was 100% better.. so i was a little uneasy at first thinking " god this might suck too" i bought it out of a close out bin cause they were getting rid of cube games for wii games so i got it for $1 factory sealed, not bad hey? and when i poped it in i was first like "ohh man the graphics are not as nice as the last one.. the farmer looks like a round fat potato" but once it got going i was surprised with what it had to offer, flash back of back to natuer came back and filled my heart with joy.
not only does it have the best wedding sean out of all the games, it also has a joy of compleax and or easy natuer to it depending on what you want out of it, it has every girl from all the harvest moons (yep even from the SNES version) and 70% of them are wuuabule soo lots of choices but also lots of compathion. it also has the girls version as well so if you pick a girl to play as same thing.

i love the fact you can buy more property, hundreads of stuff you can buy for your house, and even build a 2nd home incase u get tired of looking at the person you married. the mines are a bit anoying but rewarding, and getting the power fruit is anoying too.. horse race is the most anoying cause u cant make ur horse love you to much or you will have a tuff race.

just remember these tips and it will be fun over and over again, make the wild animals love you, make the city love you and more people will move in even wuuabule people ;), and if you want the game to end short marry jamie (game ends if you marry her/him)

Simply awesome. =)

Extremely addicting, and always gives me something to do. Some people may not love the cartoony layout, but I do and so do tons of other people. Its just so cute! I wouldn't recommend this for people with a short fuse. What I mean is that it can get frustrating, but if you're patient and you LOVE HM, this is totally the game for you. I also wouldn't recommend this for anybody who likes realistic graphics. The game has a realistic setting, but it just looks like a cartoon. Thats what I love most about it. =3
You have 21 overall marriage options, about 10 for each gender. I'm not completely sure. Best of all, you get a child! And unlike AWI, you can choose to be a girl or boy. You don't have to buy separate games.
Overall, this game is just awesome, and I recommend it for any HM lovers new and old. =3
