Best Action Game Ever!

4 Rating: 4, Useful: 0 / 1

This game is(in my opinion) the BEST action game for gamecube. With so many different modes of play and weapons, the action never ends! Fight alone, along side with your freinds, or engage your friends in head-to-head combat with up to 4 of your friends. Whether you're fighting at Pearl Harbor or in Guadalcanal, or if you're blasting your friends in head-to-head combat, this game is one of the best action games for GameCube.

I have tested this game by beating with cheat codes, and without. I can ASSURE you, this is a absolutely wonderful game. It gets you the feeling that you are an actual soldier fighting. Cheat codes make the game much too easy. I peronally would'nt use them. You get an arrange of weapons as a army agent who does the good work, (the fun stuff). I did and you WILL enjoy this game if you chose to buy or rent or whatever you choose to do with it. I must conlude by cogratulating EA games with a great performance and wish you to play it.

Not as good as frontline

In 2003, i loved moh: frontline. so when i heard of a new moh, i went nuts. i coudn't wait. and i got the game, and I was so dissapointed. First, the story is incredibly dumb. you're a marine who has to find this japanese commander's gold. what does gold have to do with WW2? also, nothing changed from frontline at all, except for the new grenade button which is actually pretty useful. i cant say this game is really bad, but it is isn't as great as other WW2 shooters. the pearl Harbor mission is pretty fun, but it goes downhill from there. also, the missions can take you almost an hour to beat. It's just not that fun.

its not as good as frontline while the multiplayer is somewhat fun, it doesnt make up for the easy campaign mode which can be beaten in less then 10 hours. i can only reccomend this game to really big fans of MOH or just a weekend rental.

This game is TERIBLE with a capital "T". The player you are moves like molasses and you have horrible ammo capacity And RPM. THis game lacks realism and is very slow and borring i mean come on wouldnt you say MOH would be better off without this game????

Island Hopping With The Marines...

The first ever game I bought for my GC and it was worth it!

A lot of reviews slated MOH:RS but I thought it was and still is a particularly good game. The graphics for the Pearl Harbor missions are top notch and gives it a good touch of realism.

The missions are varied in length and enemies. A past reviewer mentioned some missions lasted for over an hour, this did not disappoint me, as in 'real life' it would have taken days to cover the ground.

Overall all the only down sides of this game are that it is too short and requiring a certain percentage for shooting etc to receive a medal for that mission. The second mission is very difficult, I have only managed to shoot over 70 planes down on very few occasions.

I look forward to the sequel and hunting for Donnie! I have heard it being mentioned that the player will either sneak into Japan via Tokyo Harbour on a submarine or be part of Doolittle's raid!

Good but not great game, very little flaws, high playability and again I am still playing it nearly 2 years after its release.

Not The Best

Rising Sun is an ok game, but compared to other FPS games, it just stinks. The idea is good, theres not really any WWII games based in the pacific. However the storyline for the campaign is short and unfufilling. Its almost as if they cut off the second half of the campaign. The weapon selection is very limited, especially in the campaign. The campaing's selection is restricted to a few U.S. guns, mainly a pistol, M1, and Thomson sub-machinegun. Although once I managed to pick up a Japanese T-11 machinegun. The campaign has it's good sides though, you can do it with 2 people, there are save points throughout the missions and the Pearl Harbor missions are good. If you can complete any mission with the bonus objectives completed as well you get a skeleton key, which unlocks a red chest hidden within that level that contains a multiplayer character skin.

The multiplayer is what I find myself playing most of the time. There is a better weapon selection, it introduces the BAR, Bazooka, and the two Japanese machine guns. There is an ok selection of maps, and you can choose different ranks of enemies, but there is only team and FFA deathmatch modes. The number of playable characters is good, as are the maps themselves. My favorite part of the multiplayer is that you can make bots to play against, so you can play it yourself instead of being confined to the campaign. The multiplayer is good enough to make Rising Sun worth buying. But if you prefer a good campaign then I would reccomend getting Medal of Honor Frontline, or the newer Pacific Assault.

Well fist, I bought the game used after reading all the reviews. Good choice but i still felt a little cheated. I've played all the other MOHs, CODs, and BIAs just like everyone else but damn this game looks horrible but, i guess it is the game cube version, however thats no excuse. Suck it Soldiers! Make a damn good game you can be proud of....Am I LOUD AND CLEAR!

The game to me still plays the same but if it doesn't make you feel like you are in a war and at any moment you could be killed by a sniper or piece of shrapnel then whats the point. Looking at the graphics like one reviewer said, "Nintendo 64 graphics" makes the whole game feel old and out dated
