the graphics are good, the storyline well worked but not very much fun to play and zero replay value. I don't understand all the raving reviews, like we're sooo honored to play such a cool game. Big deal it lacks what many others have - good player movement, but it is just ok.

Battlefront 2 will work with Vista Business Edition

I bought this on Friday, July 18. and received it an hour ago, installed it and it plays fine on my computer. I have Windows Vista Business Edition, but I don't know which Service Pack I have (I know little about computers). I haven't play much but the training portion and it is fun, though a little fustratining until I figured out that I was overlooking the simple solution (as usual). I give it 4 stars because I enjoyed the first Battlefront game and this one has several more features and modes, making it more enjoyable than the first.

This is a really great First-Person/Third-Person Shooter. Fun space missions, great actions and graphics. If you've played Star Wars Battlefront I you NEED to play II. Overall a fantastic game.

This game may be old but it's a goody! I am almost 14 and I try to play it as often as I can. I also have it for my PSP and it's better on the big screen, but loads of fun! Get it for a cheap, fun time!

Better than the 1st

Although the 1st issue was fantastic and cutting edge in FPS style games, this 2nd generation from star wars is even better. The part of being able to play a "special" charcter, to me is not needed. I wind up never using it, except for Boba Fett every now and again. Otherwise I stick with the other choices. Straight forward in play style this game can only get better as long as Lucaarts stays true to the Battlefront frame. If you've played the 1st one, you'll definetly enjoy this one. More locations and more to do.

Graphics were great but controls were better on consoles

Having this game on XBOX, I had a blast playing through the story mode and the multi player modes. My only gripe was that the XBOX version is only 480p max in resolution. Playing it on my LCD TV was kind of like an eyesore. So I decided to buy this for my PC since I really enjoyed this game. The graphics were definitely much better. However, the controls were more complicated. None the less, the game still deserves the 5 out of 5.

I can't review the game, but if you have Vista, forget it!!

This game will not work on Windows Vista. I called tech support, and they said that the game will not work with Vista, but I can try the "compatibility" mode. No luck there either. So, this may be a great game or not, but stay away if you have Vista. As a side note, the jewel case came cracked.

Works great

Okay, so few people will probably even see this as this game is several years old now but why not, right?

I actually bought this game when it first came out but after several moves I lost one of the several disks and the instruction manual so I was unable to re-install it. This is a cheap replacement and it works just as well...plus it's just one disk which is very nice. You don't have to sit there during 10 minutes of installation waiting for the "please insert disk.." prompts.

The game itself is fun and you get to fight in famous Star Wars locations like Hoth, The Death Star and The Jedi Temple. You even get to fight in space battles.

In the first Star Wars Battlefront, heroes would assist you in the battle but you could never play as them. in this game you have the option of being able to play as one of the heroes from the films.

There are several methods of play as well. You have the main story-driven campaign where you follow the 501st legion from the early days of the Clone Wars to the end of the Empire at Endor. Each mission has different objectives. The maps are different enough and the objectives are different enough to keep the game interesting.

Then there is the galactic conquest mode. This is a new mode for this game and you pretty much get to play as one of the four factions in two different wars (The CIS/Republic in the Clone Wars or the Empire/Rebellion in the Civil War). You'll have to build fleets, capture planets and buy new types of units or bonuses. This is a fun mode but it can get repetive especially as the computer may seem hell-bent on capturing one planet and you'll end up fighting that one battle over and over.

another mode is free play. You can pick whichever maps you want to play on and the mode of play; capture the flag, assault, etc. This is fun if you like certain maps more than the others or if you don't want to invest your time in the campaigns.

Of course there is online play though I don't play online so I can't talk about it.

The AI in this game is decent enough. You don't really have control over your side so you can't really coordinate attacks or anything. Basically, it's up to you to win the day. The space battles are fun but they too can get boring and it would have been nice if they had spent more time on these.

Overall, this is a fun game, even if it is 3 years old.

A Captivating Experience!

This game is DEFINITELY my favorite video game. I really like all the different levels and, unlike Halo 2, the missions are always interesting and exciting.
