mario sunshine is just one of the best mario games that is out. not like other mario games this features things such as the water pump named as the Flood. pretty cool all around too, nice story line, good graphics and also music! different to other mario musics much much much better! the game is also like a opposite to luigi's mansion like one BIG comparasion is that mario sunshine just keep going! for a real gammer it should take about 40 hours or even 60 to complete! and also that is not enough to get the full touch of the game! what are you waiting for? BUY IT!!!!! -Mike s

If you have or are buying a 'Cube, this is a must buy!

This is a great game. I have it already because I have a modded Gamecube. Its a fun game even though it could be difficult at times. If you want a really good buy, Nintendo is offering a special ... With the package you get Super MArio Sunshine, Super MArio Sunshine Players Guide, a 59 block memory card, and a years subscription to NINTENDO POWER.

This game could be great if it was not so short. I got this game expecting a huge game filled with level after level. I beat it after two weeks and belive me I stink at most video games. In fact that was the first game I ever beat in my whole life, and I have played a lot of games, easy ones. I would get this game if you want something really simple. It is way to easy for me. I hope you liked my reviwe.

Am i the only one that finds this VERY hard?

I was thinking of buying this game for my young son for Christmas because i thought it would be great for him. I decided to rent this before buying and i'm sure glad i did. I am 28 years old and i LOVED all the old Marios and never had a hard time finishing the older games but i find this one very hard and confusing. I thought it was supposed to be a kids game but it's even too hard for ME. If your planning on buying this for your child, i would suggest that you rent it first because i don't know if you want to hear your child say "Help mom/dad it's too hard" or "I don't know what to do" all day long. I would have liked to give it more stars but after playing all night and getting very frustrated, i just can't.

The best Mario game of all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought this game would be exactly like Super Mario 64 was. But I sure was wrong. When i looked at the graphics of Super Mario 64, I just couldn't watch my tv screen without my eyes burning. Super mario Sunshines graphics are absolutely incredible and take full advantage of the gamecube. The story is a bit different then the previous mario games because this time Mario wants to stop someone who is diguised as him because he/she are scribbling with ink on an island that Mario and Peach are taking a vacation on. Also you get to encounter and hopefully play as yoshi. I personally think that the story is more interesting than previous Mario titles. I will post new stuff up on this review after E3 because I am going to it and will learn a lot about this new game. I aready know though that this is one Mario Game you would not want to miss.

This is my first game system beyond the original Atari. I generally play adventure PC games, ex. MYST. We recently purchased a GameCube for my son. The first game we bought was Super Mario Sunshine.

Then almost immediately afterwards, I came down with severe pnuemonia. This game has saved my sanity. I'm nowhere near to being finished, only have 51 shines so far. The controller took some getting used to but for an experienced gamer (outside of PC mouse driven games) it will be no problem. The story is engaging, the graphics are really much better than I ever anticipated. The puzzles are fairly simplistic so far but the obstacle courses are intense.

There is no violence beyond stomping on the bad guys heads. NO blood or gore. It's perfect game for kids...and ill adults! It was the perfect choice all around.

Just wonderful

MARIO AND NUMBER SIX... ON THE ISLAND

3 Rating: 3, Useful: 2 / 4

SUPER MARIO SUNSHINE is a solid, inventive and entertaining addition to the MARIO collection, but it is also a bit of a bore as well. Neither as big, nor as clever as MARIO 64 (the game was just pure dynamite), SUPER MARIO SUNSHINE does seem to pale in compairson... but only on the surface. Underneath there is a solid effort to expand and enchance both Mario and the world he lives in. While not open ended, the island that Mario vacations on is a major leap forward for the series (save for the story - the Princess is kidnapped at every turn in this adventure, no sooner have you saved her when she's been carried away again) - it is a open vista that allows you to run, jump, climb, hover, swim (the water effects are beautiful), and rubber band your way into every possible place Mario can fit... but having said that, the levels where Mario is required to go and play often feel too small, cluttered, and all too similar. While most of the levels are (for the most part) evenly balanced, you do run into levels that require the true skills of a MARIO master. Levels where jumping has to be exact, where timing has to be percise, levels where you have to have eyes in the back of your head, because for the majority of the game THE CAMERA IS YOUR SWORN ENEMY - it hates you, it blocks you, it rotates around you, it won't sit still. It's as if BOWSER is running it. More than a few times I had to rely on blind luck to stick Mario on a ledge or edge, and more times than I care to count he missed. Some kids may find this a problem and may get frustrated, but the game is never so impossible that you simply wish to walk away from it... take a break yes, perhaps even snap that mini-DVD disc into bits, yes, but Mario will call you back for one more try, one more level, one more SHINE. Perhaps not the leap forward Nintendo was looking forward with Mario, but not a game to be ignored either. For fans it's a must, for those just joining us here in the land of Mario, break your thumbs in with MARIO 64 first and then join the rest of us on the island... we'll be waiting for you.

The Weakest Game In The Series

Super Mario Sunshine is the sixth mario game in the home-console series.

1)Super Mario Bros. Which I gave a 10/10. This was the first and definately the best. Addictiveness, hidden features, awsome multiplayer, it had everything in a good video game, including being original.

2)Super Mario Bros. 2. I gave this a 9.4/10. This was an amazing sequal that had new playable charecters and a longer story. Charecter ability's was a good new ability, while difficulty was a down point. This game was slightly difficult, yet nothing to complin about.

3)Super Mario Bros. 3. I gave this an 9.7/10. This game was very simliar to the original, yet it added new interesting features, such as the racoon suit and frog suit. It was difficult, yet balanced, which gave it great potential.

4) Super Mario World. 9.8/10. Yoshi was the best bart of this game. The controls were not complex, even with four new buttons. The game was just like SMB1; only Yoshi was difference. The cape is another feature that is much fun, giving Mario gliding power was not new, yet it was a feature to keep.

4.5) Yoshi's Island was not really a Mario game, but more of a Yoshi's game. Nonetheless, it was just like SMW, only Mario was missing.

5) Super Mario 64 - 9.2/10. This game was a breakthrough in technology. It was just like SMB, only with depth and room to explore. The flaw with this game was its amount of jumping moves, which were all equally important. It wasn't simple one button moves, but they were easy to catch onto.

6) Super Mario Sunshine - 5.7/10. Not only was this game completely different from all other Mario games, it lost simplicity all together. Bas things are listed here.
1) When I play a Mario game, I expect to see the plumber jumping on some koopas or mushrooms. Unfortunately, this game has not mushrooms at all. No goombas, no stars, no flowers, no evil clouds, no birdos, no vines to climb, and no LUIGI! Bowser is there for a little bit, but he just makes a CAMEO! Making Sunshine in to more of a movie than a game.
2) Controlling Mario is a mess. I must have spent one hour trying to get Mario out of the water because there was no simple action to help him. A wouldn't do it because A is a minor jump button when used only once.
3) Levals. I can not find levals to play without great time spent throughout Delphino Plaza. It is boring and unneccasary.
4) Camera. The camera is so bad, it leaves me horrified and bewildered.
5) Does it matter? Do we need a 5? No, because a game that has the Mario title cannot have that mnay problems. Though, please make sure that you buy the Gamecube. It still has great series like Zelda and Martiod Prime, plau RE4 is supposed to be great. Listen to this advice. Wait to get ther MArio game on the WII. This game is bogus and disappointing.
Thank you for your time.
