Well, well, well, what can I say about a game that was meant to catch the imagination of teenage boys and make sure that it kept them glued to the the t.v. Well, not much. The game is the title all you really do is play volleyball and it does not get much different. It get's boring after a short time of play. However, the minigames make up for some of the boring play. What I really liked about this game was the volleyball games, but it really needed to add more. Maybe some compitition and not just the same thing over and over again. So if you want a fun game that you want for a long time don't get it. It is really for renting only. So go ahead and buy it if it is your thing.

Lots of eye candy. Mini games at the Casino is a lot of fun, and giving gifts are also a lot of fun. Timing is everything with the volleyball games, and pool area is pretty fun also.

Do you like volleyball and cute girls?

If you like cute chicks this is the game for you. If you like volleyball that is not to easy this is the game for you. I found the playing of the actual volleyball harder then i thought it would be, but i've never played a volleyball game before either. I played it for about 4 hours the first time i opened it and am still paying it.

Some Lessons to be Learned.

I'll admit it, as a guy, I got this game for the boobies and the commercials utterly sold me on just how crazy appealed this game was. I hadn't bought an XBOX prior to this game but I had friends who had one so I never had the reason to buy one since they brought it over ALL the time. Once I moved and had money, I ended up getting my own XBOX, this game being my actual first purchase towards entertainment value to that XBOX... and I was not disappointed.

So it's cheesy and ideally subjective to the masculine audience of men and their oogly sensation to see overly beautiful women... but so is a large margin of the gaming industry's aesthetic that appeals. I'd like to quote the creator of the DOA franchise and his reason for making this game, "Sex sells, therefore, selling sex is easy." Or something along those lines and he was right but I was somewhat fooled as I began playing the game because at first I was caught up by watching my favorite DOA women strutting around in bikinis and the beach... then it appealed to me that there was an actual volleyball game bestowed in this. I got myself into the game and sooner than I believed, I actually found myself screaming at my AI controlled partner for not having saved the ball when it was all hers.

I even got my dad to play with and against me in the game and he didn't once comment on anything about the assumed vulgar content of women flashingly strutting around in their bikinis and physics-endowed bosom bouncing around... the game is just outright fun! Alot of other people may disagree with me but I love this game and the only time my fiancee hated me playing this game was when she tried playing against me and lost, ha ha!

Hey, this is pretty coo (^_^)

Well, I just picked this up since I loved playing Dead or Alive 3 and was curiuos on this title. In my opinion, it's pretty cool for what it is. This game is like Sega's Virtua Tennis, except that's it's volleyball and with characters from Dead or Alive. Basically, it's very easy to play but not very deep compared to games like NFL2K3 or FIFA. Graphically, the game is amazing. The music is very good and you can make your own custom soundtracks ala the Xbox hard drive. The Dennis Rodman voice-thing kinda turned me off, but you can change that in-game. Don't think you can change that for the movies though. In any case, if you like games like Virtua Tennis, you'll like this game. If not, then this game may not what you want and you might wanna wait on this.

DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!

This came is entertaining for about ten min. There is not story or plot and most of the dialog is in another language. The only thing that is in english is the text. This game is nothing more than barbies plaing vollyball on the beach.

As if XBox couldn't get worse...

I'm about to commit an act of treason against men everywhere. I'm about to give DOA:EBV a negative rating. But I honestly need to. This game, as advertised, only serves as eye-candy for perverts and a waste of money for gamers everywhere (much like the XBox system itself). Now, don't get me wrong, there are definitely some good things about this game. The disc makes a nice frisbee and I'm sure there are some great posters out there, but beyond that, it does little in the way of providing a good gaming experience. But then again, so little of the XBox games do, anyway. I suppose "Panzer Dragoon Orta" will probably be their one and only breakthrough, but beyond that, they have little to offer and will thus go the way of the Sega Dreamcast. There is one truly great thing about the XBox, though: it makes a truly excellent doorstop. Happy playing!

Go with a different volleyball game

It is funny that this game is advertised as a volleyball simulation because all through the intro there is NOTHING indicating that. Be that as it may, the actual game is not that great if you are looking for something with quality volleyball play. To the credit of the developer, there are some features that were missing in previous volleyball games that are present in this one, for example, if the ball hits the net on the second play, your partner can make a legitimate attempt to recover it. Also, you can spike a ball and it bounces off the net over to the opponents side.

Apart from that, there is no demarcation for the sidelines of the court, there is one camera angle, and every player seems to have the ability to crank the ball into the court.

If you are looking for a game with good gameplay for VOLLEYBALL, this is not it, if you are looking for a game with other stuff (like the casino games and buying outfits from the store etc etc), then try it.

It just was not what I was looking for but it may suit your needs just fine.
