Please pick up the Nov. issue of the official XBOX magazine. It has an awesome video for Ninja Gaiden and a wonderful Dead or Alive Extreme Beach Volleyball music video. One word. Delicious. OK, OK, OK. Besides all of the half naked women running around, I do believe this will be a great game. A great game that revolves around half-naked women, but great nonetheless.

Story: What a great story!!!! With his DOA tournament winnings, Zack goes to Vegas and hits it big gambling, and with his newfound wealth, he buys an island. He then sets up the lovely DOA ladies to come to his tropical island getaway by making them believe a DOA4 tournament is being held there. When they show up and realize there is no tournament, "Hahaheehee" they laugh it off and spend a summer on the tropical island playing volleyball in bikinis. Delicious. But that's not all. There's a new character named Lisa who joins in on the fun. Yah!

Gameplay: Tecmo makes great games and this will be another solid title. It will have solid volleyball action, playing out with simple button actions. It will be very user friendly. But don't let that fool you. So was Tennis 2K2. Easy to learn, but the real joy will be in mastering the game. Timing bumps and sets will be vital in becoming a DOA Xtreme beach volleyball champion. The multiplayer will be great too. 4-player volleyball is going to rock. And the one player story/career mode will actually be pretty deep. You can build relationships with other potential volleyball team partners. You can buy a potential partners a gift, and she may wear it during a match or even buy you something in return. Sounds like the sims. But regardless, it will be an important part of the game for strong relationships off the court will lead to better tag play in the matches. Sega had a simialar aproach early this year with Beach Spikers. (Which by the way is a solid volleyball game also) Also, on the relationship aspect, past DOA grudges will come into play, and rivals will not play as well when paired together, so you'd better know your DOA!

Features Features Features: This is where the game gets good. 100 swimsuits and 50 accessories to choose from. Playing games will earn you points to buy new items. Just like Tennis 2K2 on Dcast and PS2. There will be tons of patterns and styles to choose from or even use your artistic skills to create your own! (This feature may or may not be in the final version) See-throughs here we come!!!!! Ok what would an Xbox be without the use of the hard-drive. Not only will the game have a 20+ song soundtrack, but you can use your own custom soundtrack! (Make sure to pick up the "Top Gun" and "Cocktail" soundtracks with your purchase) And you can record volleyball matches to the Xbox's hard drive, then watch them later or show them to your friends! "Remember that time I destroyed you in DOA Xtreme Volleyball? Don't remember? Well, I have it right here!!!" Hahaha.

Not just Volleyball going on: Not only will there be extreme volleyball going on, but extreme partying. You can explore Zack Island's night scene. The island casino features many favorites like blackjack, roulette, slots and poker. An arcade even lets you play a DOA 3 mini-game. Speaking of mini-games...

Mini games: Lifeguard drill, a dance competition, and a beauty contest. My my my. Delicious.

This game is just that: Delicious. I really don't have to tell you there will be half-naked girls running around on the beach, because you probably already know. But aside from that, It will be great game. Pick it up.

This has to be the best sports game in history. Aside from the sleek, slender, super sexy babes, the game looks like it just plays well. You will love this game, and you'll love the babes in it even more!!!!!

i havnt actually played it but it looks cool beacause i have all the dead or alive games. But this is going to be different beacause its about girls, volleyball and its rated M!! It cant get much better then that. Tecmos games are really fun and cool so i think im going to have to get this game.

This game looks like it's going to be one great simulation. What is a good, beach volleyball simulation without the women in bathing suits to go with it? Top notch quality from Tecmo with the extremely realistic character models that remind you of the cinematics of Final Fantasy X.

A must have on everybody's Wish-list.

Okay, I see nothing wrong with nudity or scantly claded girls in games. Ha, I play Soul Calibur (both of them) and I perfectly notice that a lot of girls are curvey and have big buns, but at least the story is the main focus, not the butt or boob cleavge.

Now I've play DOA series. Not worst, but sort of overrated IMO, due to some girls in the game that look like er....... street harlots and the camera is ALWAY at their clevage. This game adds insult to injury. the game is about the main prostutites, um....I mean lead girls being involved in volleyball competition, led by no other than Dennis Rodman.

cuteness of hitomi and others is not the only appeal here.

from the looks of the demos and the reviews/previews of this game, dead or alive volleyball is much more than girls on parade.
the ability to improve your partner's skills and effort level based on earning enough money to buy them presents seems like a great idea. couple that with extra goodies like picking your own music, a casino, and other minigames - this should be plenty to make doax worth the money.
all of the previews rave about the terrific controls and gameplay, making this an easy pre-order. after numerous delays, i think this one will be worth the wait.

Before anyone else starts crying abut how hard this game is, I suggest you a)keep in mind you're playing volleyball here, b)practice, practice, practice, and c)once you start making money and winnin, be sure to buy gifts for your partner and potential friends who are rivals with someone else. Yes the controls are easy, but you have to know HOW and WHEN to hit the spike or dig.

This is an entertaining game on several levels: beautiful rendering and cool camera control, diversity in activities (volleyball, calibration game, gambling, shopping and gift-giving, private romps on secluded beaches).

The complaints about two-button gameplay are misleading for a couple of reasons. First, the buttons are pressure-sensitive so using only two buttons actually allows you to do a lot more than just two things. Second, the directional pad allows you to aim and jump-serve while the thumbstick moves your player around. Volleyball is generally a fast-paced game, so too much more complexity would be nearly impossible for gamers to handle. (In DOA3, for example, you can back off your opponent for a couple seconds, gather yourself, and then unleash a series of cool combinations; there's just no time for that in volleyball and even if there were how many different moves do you have to have as a volleyball player?) Also, proper timing is the key to super hard serves and spikes so it's not as if everything happens automatically.

One thing I don't like is how I can't get a player up off the sand quickly enough after a dive. It's kind of annoying not to be able to force extra effort.

If you appreciate complex software then you'll like this game. The idea of building relationships and the fact that the environment (i.e. the sun, winning, losing, a player's motivation level) affects your players is fun and tends to be one of the key factors which keeps up interest. The other thing that makes things interesting is the high cost of the slinky bikinis; there's ample motivation to play the high-risk slots and win lots of volleyball games.

If you're looking for a volleyball simulator perhaps this isn't a good game for you, and perhaps you should just go play volleyball. But if you're looking for entertainment and great concepts in a game then go out and buy it.

First off, this game is [garbage] if the volleyball weren't so fun. Then add the fact that you have to "court" your partner buy giving gifts, such as swimming suits, food, teddy bears, and any number of accessories like hats and shoes. Sounds pretty girly, doesn't it. I have yet to show a girl this game and she not like it. The only time patience is required is when you first boot up. You have to go through a day of not much to do, culminating with a game of volleyball and if you haven't practiced before you start the "vacation", you're gonna get stomped. Oh yeah. Always say yes to the tour or you're really gonna have a hard time getting to play volleyball and that can be very disorienting. With nothing to do, you'll really be on a vacation just watching your girl lounge around. Not too horrible, but that leads me into the fact that if you don't buy sunglasses for your girl, her empty eyes will irritate you.
This is a solid title with fun volleyball, addicting gambling and a very interesting plot between the girls. It's worth the money.
