Another title that you can play on Xbox 360

You know it's cheaper to buy used Xbox Games to play on Xbox 360 especially when you have HDTV and component cable. This is great renewal of game experience in all new level. Especially, nowadays with Xbox 360 being mainstream, the game prices of used Xbox games are going down fast. Better get those games before all turns into collectibles.

Great!!!!

As a fan of John Carpenter's 1982 cult classic The Thing, I have to say that I loved this game. The history of games based on movies and movies based on games have proven to be poor for the most part but it's not the case here. This game is a sequel to the film which was executed very, very well. It has a good story, but what impressed me the most was the gameplay, especially managing fear and trust with your squad members which was a theme in the movie. If your a fan of survival horror, this games for you, if your a fan of the movie, this is definitely for you.

The game is just okay. Haven't had a chance to play it for long, so my review is premature.

The graphics on this game are horrible. I bought this game with high hopes that it would make me appreciate x-box. Boy was i wrong. The game [is bad]. I wouldn't even rent it. The game play is just plane bad. If you want a good game buy halo for that is the only game that x-box has that is good. X-box has really let me down. I should have bought a ps2

It's said that the game picks up where the movie left off. You arrive at an outpost in Antartica to find that it's mostly destroyed. What happened here? When outside in the cold you need to find shelter before the cold weather starts taking its toll on you. You can die from overexposer to the cold. When confronting new squad members you may need to gain their trust. The best way to do this is to give them some ammo or a weapon if they don't already have one. There are two basic types of things. The smaller ones can be killed by simply shooting them. The larger kind you first need to shoot until they are hurt enough then you have to switch weapons and use a flamethrower or blowtorch to burn them up. The only way to kill the larger ones is by fire. They can also shead smaller things when they die. I found switching weapons in combat to be a rather complicated process, often hitting the wrong button, only to die a horrible death. Some area's I had to play over and over again to get past. You save the game by finding tape recorders, those seem to be spaced out a little bit farther then I would like. Also finding health units can be a little hard to find when your in need. Squad member can be either engineers or medics to help you out. The Thing can scare you pretty well. After playing for a few hours I felt the adrenaline pumping. As for any game I would recommened you rent it first to see if you really like it before shelling out the $ to buy it.

the only game thats worse for the x-box is azurik

This game could have been really fun if everything about it weren't done wrong. the graphics are poor, the animation is incredibly jerky, and so far as i can tell there is ablolutely no story when the movie had an incredible story, but the worst aspect of this game is it is so hard that its more frustrating than fun to play. oh and watch out for the terrible camera which does NOT let you see anything but what is directly in front of you. And the X-box version is supposed to be the best version of this game, so be careful of getting this poor excuse for a game on any system unless you are considering purchasing azurik.

I don't know ,I didn't think the graphics were
all that hot.Why are there not more games coming out
with the sheer beauty of Enclave? If you think the
graphics on The Thing are amazing, check out Enclave
or even Moto GP.Those games should be the measuring
stick for all games. The Thing did have a great story
line.It was interesting to play and plenty to keep you
busy. Not being able to point the gun down and shoot at
targets on the ground, sucked! It has redeeming qualities
but it won't smoke your brain.

What's hot:
-Pretty scary

What's not:
-It's so complicated(especially the 2nd level)
-Confusing gameplay
-Graphics need some work

What's strange:
-What is the deal with this trust system?

The overall:
-This is actually a game based on a movie. So if you liked the movie, you may like this. Otherwise, screw this game.

I saw this game's ad on tv and thought wow I love games like that and went to Game Stop and bought it because I collected almost all games like that Resident Evil Evil Dead Doom and I think it would be cool to own a game like that so I put it into my Xbox and started playing it takes place in the arctic and its about this creature who kills and eats people to survive the creature is furry big and kind of like a bear and the gamer is a soldier and he or she leads a team of enginners scientists and soldiers to find the thing and put an end to it but along the way you encounter the things doing and you never know what will be around the corner basicly its a horror action shooter and its super scary and very bloody sometimes things pop out of the dark creatures besides the thing have been attracted by the blood and you and your team and what makes it even more scary are the blizzard missions in those missions you hafe to move in all directions to keep up with the monster and you can easaly freeze to death so you and your team take turns chasing the thing and you very offten encounter dead people eaten by the thing or froze to death somtimes the thing gets so mad that it just jumps at you from nowhere and blood splaters on the snow and you hafe to rapidly toggle the triggers to break free so to avoid that you hafe to stay 5 feet away from the thing and 5 feet close to the thing and I got killed at this game alot so buy the strategy guide and it will become easyer to beat it I got to the final showdown in 4 weeks so buy it or are you a sissy beleve me im 18 years old and still get scared just buy it jeez these people

I can spot a good game a mile away. I have about 200 computer games and 30-50 video games. So I know a good game by reading the description, checking out the background info, looking at the back of the box and seeing a few pictures of graphics. This one looks like it will be a great game!!
I am impatiently awaiting its release.
