I got it @ circuit city the day it went out cuz i thought it would be sold out. Played it for a bit. Much funner than GTA 4!! Graphics are so nice....driving is fun, and motorbikes are fast and great handling and they don't flip as easily. Haven't played much of it though i've been busy but the game is the BEst for PSp..it's a must have!!

Awesome!!!!!

I just bought this game, when I turned on my PSP with grand theft auto libert stories de first time, I was like: wow!! It's way better than GTA3, you can jump out of a vehicle even if it's moving (in GTA3, if you were going real fast and you car cought on fire, the time you stop and get out of the car, you are already dead), you can automatic/free aim, in GTA3 you couldn't free aim, you have motorcycles, new missions, I don't recognize a single mission, you can drive boats but can't swim (This is the thing I dislike but it's not gonna change my rating) You can put your own sound tracks at the radio, trust me it works, many people says its bs but it's not true. Overall, this is a really good game, the graphics are .... surprising, you can kill someone in his car by shooting threw the windshield, in GTA3 you couldn't, you can blow up car tires, in GTA3, only the cops could with their spike traps. The only thing I miss after having played GTA SanAndreas (buy this game if you did not!!!!:), after flying all types of planes, I miss my jets.
That's all
PS: I hope they do GTA SanAndreas Stories.

Amazing!

It's just unbelievable I can play something this cool on a portable system. Download the Custom Tracks software from Rockstar and you can put your favorite tunes into the game's car radios as well. I recommend surfing music (Beach Boys,) old classics (Dean Martin, Bing Crosby) or even Christmas music.

I've enjoyed this just as much as GTA 3 and GTA Vice City for Playstation 2, even if it is a little smaller. I mean, hey, it's on a handheld!!

Not for kids, but hopefully you already know that?

Everything you know and love about GTA

I picked up the game the day of its release. Getting home late didn't give me much time to explore the game, but as soon as the music began, I was stunned, STUNNED to discover I had quite possibly one of the the best handheld games ever right in front of me. The load time of starting up the game is much shorter that those I've seen on the console, the city flows by without a touch of slowdown, and the voice acting goes beyond the call of duty.

There are a few negatives. You can't steer and look around in your car at the same time. Motorcycle controls are extremely loose, as are driving controls. Targeting holds on to dead guys, so you have to retarget every enemy. Still the experience on the PSP is amazing. Radio stations still function fluidly, animations are fast, if a little choppy in some areas, and there's more and more stuff spilling out as you play.

This game is amazing to look at in every respect, and makes you really want to do nothing more than get sucked into this world. If you're a GTA fan, this is the game that is a must.

Awsome Adult Game

I got this game a week ago and havn't been able to play anything else. This game is great! I travel a lot and this lets me take my favorite game series along with me. I am 23% done and havn't had to use any of the numerous cheats yet. I'm still waiting for some of my friends to get the game so I can try out the multiplayer games. I'm really looking forward to that. That is the biggest draw back to the other games. Bottom line, if you are a fan of the series it will be money well spent. If you are not a fan don't bother and stop writing reviews for games you have no intention of buying or playing. It is an adult themed game just like it says on the packaging.

One of The Best PSP Games.

Let me say this first, this game is for adults as it deals with ALOT of adult situations (Sex, Guns, Killing to name a few). Now I usually dont buy "M" Rated games because they are usually very boring and repetitive, and are all about Zombies and Cops/Robbers, But this game is So free and just SO FUN. The storyline is Great (You're a gut named tony working for this tall bald guy) and The City is built so that you can go almost anywhere!!! Its hard to explain why all the GTA's are so fun, maybe its the storyline or the overall freeness, and when I say free I mean FREE. You can buy guns, rob stores, steal cars, go into strip clubs, anything!!!

Overall its not for kids but is still EXTREMELY FUN

A great little game!

What a great experience this game is. You get to drive around in a variety of cars, work as a taxi driver and explore the vast sprawling city of Liberty. The only slight drawback is that while making my way around town I was occasionally offered work from seedy underworld gangsters - naturally I ignored these offers! That aside this is a great game and a wonderful piece of escapism. If youngsters today spent less time listening to rappers like 50 Cent and more time playing games like this there might be some hope for them. Two thumbs up!

Is this it?!?

I may be a little harsh on this game, because I've played all the 3D GTA's.
First; the graphics. Despite what you might have heard or read the LCS graphics are not as good as other offerings from console systems. It looks great for a PSP game, but no where near the quality of PS2 or XBOX. I'm not saying the graphics are bad, in fact, they are quite good. Just don't be fooled into thinking you're going to be playing a PS2 game on your PSP. Some pixel shading and blurred movements fool the eye a little, but you'll see the diffrence.
Secondly; The gameplay. The missions are as "Pizza-delivery" as you can get. I personally don't mind those types of missions, but I can see where some people may think them tedious and/or boring. Sometimes I find myself smashing into Police cars or shooting random people on the street just to get my blood pumping after doing 2-3 missions. They usually involve picking up and dropping off hookers and or drugs and or guns you name it, you pick up or deliver it! There are a few really cool missions usually relating to a major city event or underworld power struggle. There are also a few really neat sidequest's that will have you shaking your PSP in frustration (if you don't use any of the 8 million cheat codes that is). All in all the games play hasn't changed much since Grand Theft Auto 1.
Third; The sound. GTA as a series has almost always provided funny audio content, either on the radio or just random things people shout at you or each other. The music is great with tracs from Redman and Method man on the "rap" station you can't go wrong! The other stations include regae, punk, and even Indian music!?! The car sound effects are little off. They didn't give me the "feel" of driving, but the explosions, the gunfire, and the ambient sounds make up for poor car effects.
Lastly; The replayability I personally play this game at least once a day. However I could see where some people may return to GTA San Andreas for their GTA fix, rather than LCS. After you beat all the missions and side quest's, there is really no reason to play the game. That said if you and a few friends have this title Ad-Hoc can add 100's of hours to the replayability. Sadly no Wi-Fi support. Hopefully Rockstar will fix this with their next installment.

The Best GTA Game Yet!

Honestly, this is the best game in the series. Too bad it isn't multi-platform. It takes you back to the city you love, "Liberty", only this time...with motorcycles. The graphics are tight, the controls are the same as always, the radio station material is all-new and hilarious as ever, and the story---

Well, that's what makes it the best GTA yet. Let's face it, "San Andreas" was awful. No one appreciated that era and that lifestyle except the people that grew up there.

"Vice City" was a poor rip-off of "Scarface".

"Liberty City Stories" is inventive, clever, and fast-paced.

YOU WILL LOVE THIS GAME!

I got a PSP for Christmas and saved up all of my Christmas money to by LCS. This game is so cool! The storyline is understandable yet very descriptive and deep. Though the graphics such as occasional blurs and sudden stopping could be fixed the game is very strong. This game was my first GTA game. I had played San Andreas and Vice City at my friends houses. I was blown away! I had never seen games like these where you could just roam around and do whatever the heck you wanted. So when I heard that there was a GTA game coming out for PSP I asked for a PSP for Christmas along with GTA. As I said I saved up for GTA so I didn't get it for Christmas. When I bought it it was one of the greatest days of my life! Nuff said.
