JUST WHEN YOU THINK YOUR OUT, THEY PULL YOU BACK IN...

Ever been divorced then re-marry the same person? Then you know what its like to return to ..., as you will do in the upcoming Diablo II expansion pack:Lord of Destruction. LoD adds 2 new character classes, new monsters, thousands of new items, an expanded inventory space to hold more of those gems and goodies, and other new surprising features that will keep us die hard Diablo players glued to our monitors for days at a time again. You need the original Diablo 2 to play and as this is a continuation going into Act 5, you will need a high level character. This is defintiely gonna be great....Im so ... excited Im gonna buy two !!

Nice game, but don't get excited

So , it's coming... I must Admit I've been waiting for the expansion pack with a lot of anxiosness. I understand Blizzard have made a fine job in making this game. The thing that really bothers me is that (again) for playing under WINDOWS 2000 , I _WILL_ need Administrator rights. I believe this to be a flaw in Diablo 2 , and I'm dissapointed Blizzard aren't doing anything to correct it. You see , the thing is , that while gaming on Battle.net , one is online constantly. And in case of a bug (or a hacker interference) the whole system will go down , if someone is logged as an Administrator. And I'm not sure if i'm willing to risk my computer's stability for a pleasant gaming experience. Are you?

Thoughts from a beta tester

As a beta tester, I have played both of the new characters and all of the old characters. Of the new characters, I have found the Druid to be more to my liking. I like the quest rewards in the XPac where you can now make improvements to the items you are carrying. These include adding sockets to rare and unique items. One caveat though, the spell casting characters (Sorceress & Necromancer) have had time delays applied to her spell casting speeds. For example, the Sorceress' Frozen Orb can only be cast at a rate of one per second. Over all, I find this expansion an excellent play experience and give it five stars.

Just more clicking...

I don't think this is much different from the original, with the emphasis on clicking...but still, it's worth getting.

Whats waiting for you

The fifth act is going to be harder than the the acts before and if you have a chara on nightmare or hell dif you'll need to kill BIG d to acces the 5th act. You have to though convert your character to a lord of des.. chara and you can't set it back toa normal diablo II chara. The fifth Act also lets you hire barbarians and mercs become much more usefull because you can heal em. there will be thousands of new items which will make your character much better then he/she was beofre. A thing that I really appreciate about the Lord of des.. is the higher res (800x600) which will make the Grafics look a bit better

A VERY promising sequel

Though I haven't actually played this game yet, I restlessly await its release. I cannot get enough of the original (diablo 2) and from what Ive read of the faqs and beta tester reports Blizzard is only improving on the areas that need improvement such as the item dropping system. You no longer get junky items from killing the act bosses in high difficulties (or so I hope...). Then there are the two all new character classes to explore. The Assassin and the Druid are (hopefully) going to be whole new experiences with all their cool new skills. And whats a sequel without an extention of the story? There is now an Act 5 in diablo 2: Lord of Destruction. Can't wait to kill Baal. There is also a more interactive world to explore with gun towers and other stuff (dont know much about it as of yet). Needless to say Ive preordered it thru amazon.com-they have delivered great service to me. P.S. Im on the USWEST Dont miss out on this opportunity PREORDER THE GAME NOW!

Look for that massive update to my site in June.

Enjoy!
