konami does it again - snake is back and he has bite!

Well, this is what you've been waiting for -- and believe me, it exceeds even my wildest expectations. All of those delays have been worth it, as the graphics, storyline, and gameplay are years ahead of anything you've ever seen before or will see in the forseeable future. snake has a range of movement and weapons at his disposal that are so well-thought through and fluid that you are completely drawn into the game, reacting to every spine-tingling situation as though your life and that of every freedom loving person on the globe truly hung in the balance. At this level of gameplay, if you think it, you can do it. I'm warning you - you may never see the light of sun again, but when this is the alternative, that may not be a bad thing. to get in on the excitement, there are only three things that you need to do: 1.) quit your job and dump your girl. 2.) buy a years worth of chips and bandages for the blisters. 3.) contact konami...and request your...demo to feed your addiction til the impossibly distant release date... good luck til then, and keep on gaming!

The game of the year

Some people would argue saying that Metal gear solid 2 is the game of the year for 2001, I agree due to playing the demo off of zone of the enders. The sequel to playstation hit metal gear solid. The mgs2 continues the story of metal gear solid, if you have played the first one you will know what i am talking about. In the second one you will see returing people such as solid snake and more. This time it is about a new metal gear called metal gear ray which is a flying weapon which can knock out cities at a time. Your mission is to go in and try to destory the metal gear before the government can set it off. In the demo you is seen that you are on a boat and all is going well until the boat is hijacked by the russian army. Why do they want it is unknown the demo ended before it said. But in the final game you will be able to do more than you would in the first one such as a first person view so that way you can shoot down enemies with one shot of a head shot. Also being able to hide in lockers while guards are just standing there with no clue. Being able to throw or shoot a enemy off the ship. This is the most wanted game since Hideo Kojima (the creator of the metal gear series) annouced the game will be on PS2 at E3 of 2000 when he showed the video consumers jaws dropped at the view and it was so great that the graphics showed that it was raining and the raindrops were bouncing off of snakes nose. And through out the E3, people were wanting to know when the game will be released and now he has finally announced a date... Through out the two years we have seen more and more screen shots of the game and so far I am inpressed with the details. The one factor I like about it is that the enemies is a lot smarter than the last game and with the game tougher there are more things to do. So when the game is released we will see if the game is top notch.

This game is probaby going to be the best game out for a few years. This game is great...I dont own it but I own Z.O.E. and it has the demo. I probably played it about a million times. And thats just the demo. If I like it that much I wonder how much I will like the actual game. If you dont like this game when you buy it get a life. The first Metal Gear Solid for PS1 is my favorite game now and i've beat the game 17 times and starting again soon. The graphics for this game are probably the coolest graphics for a game i've ever seen. I think the story for this game is really good too. I am definitally going to buy this. I am pre-ordering it today so it doesnt get sold out....because trust me this game will be solid out I mean sold out for a long time!!!! If you own a PS2 I suggest you get MGS2 when it comes out. If you really like this game go to ... and go to Metal Gear Solid 2 and watch the trailer... it will blow you away. This will be the most realistic looking game you ever see....EVER!!!!!!!!

I personally didn't like the first one.

I know someone is going to try and bite me for saying this, seeing as how every person I've ever talked to that has played the Metal Gear Solid games absolutely loved them, but I didn't.

I've got the demo for MGS2, and played the first game, and if you are one of those rare people who didn't like the first game, this one is more of the same, sure the graphics are tremendously better, but the gameplay is no different.

Well I just have to say just like the title Konami And Hideo Kojima have outdone theirself! I havent played the demo yet but I reserved a copy at KB-Toys so Ill have one November 14! The game looks great and I cant wait.I reserved a copy beacuse I know it will be Very hard to get a copy till about February or later so I say to any of you who want this game Reserve a copy now! dont wait beacuse it may be too late! It will be the best game of 2001 and 2002 great graphics and everything is interactive.If your like me and you loved MGS1 youll Really love MGS2 and I havent even played it yet but I love it allready...

People say that the first Metal Gear was'nt really all that, but now you will say to yourself " Man, Metal Gear Solid 2 Is Sweet!". I personally think that the second Metal Gear will be the best video game ever played by a human being. Solid Snake is back in action in New York City to go against Metal Gear 2. After the fall of the first Metal Gear, Solid Snake wanted to know who was behind this. He finds out that his old time buddy, Revolver Octslot is ready to launch a nuculear warhead and Snake is ready to go back in action and stop this. ....SNAKE IS BACK!!

the first metal gear on psx was fun and the sequal looks even better the graphics are amazing and i cant wait until november 16th!

like most people out there i played the MGS2 demo untill my head turned blue... and then i played it some more!

everything in this game is simply amazing, almost anything in the game can be tampered with, destroyed, etc... let off some steam by holding up a guard and aiming at his crotch to make him drop items, go to the bar and destroy liquor bottles, fill a guards face with tranqualizer darts until he looks like a pin cushion. there are almost no limitations.

this is sure to be the best game created so far, and will set a new standard in video games. My advice is to buy this game the first chance you get!

MetalGearSolid2 is the best game I have ever seen.It has good graphics with Snake and all the rest of the characters .It has Great weather in this game and great water. It has all of these storymodes that you can spend hours watching so I think it is the best game.

Thank you Amazon.com for allowing pre-orders on this game so I won't be one of those that will be waiting in those long lines for this sure-to-be difficult (if not impossible) to find titles when it ships. Oh, and by the way, in case you have lived under a rock for the past year or so, THIS WILL BE THE ABSOLUTE BEST title that the PS2 will produce for years to come. I have the demo that came with Z.O.E. (another great title), and that demo is the game that I play the most in my library, which boasts GT3, Onimusha, and 10 others!!! Put simply, if you simply can't wait for the announced November ship date, don't be afraid to spend some extra cash for Zone of Enders with the MGS2 demo. You won't be disappointed!!!!
