ITS JUST SIMPLY THE BEST SOCCER GAME EVER,AS SOON AS YOU START TO PLAY THIS GAME YOU WON'T NOTICE THAT FIFA 2003 WORLD CUP AND OTHER RELATED "SOCCER" GAMES EVEN EXISTS.

Game is great, the best out there. A few problems are:

1. dribbling is not as responsive as it shoud be. KONOMI needs to address the analoge stick more instead of the keypad.

2. sound is horrible. Only mono or Stereo?? How about support for Dolby Pro logig? DTS maybe?? A game that's this good deserves better sound. Also commentating can get very repetative. Crown doesnt sond as good either

3. Graphics need improving. Overall though in-play graphic are very good.

GREAT!@!!

4. BIG need for online gameplay!!!!!!!!

But despite all the negative in fact it's really an awsome soccer game. Way better then Fifa 2004! If Konomi addressed these small problems this game would be unstopable!!

Put FIFA into the trash can

For years, I have believed that FIFA would be the most excited footie game on Earth, until I played the very fisrt version of Winning Eleven on my old PSone console: the Winning Eleven 3 -Road to World Cup .It was the fisrt game I played on PSone, and it was such a wonderful experience: good image quality, ease of control and a wonderful gameplay that even FIFA 2003 can't have. And one more important thing: tatics, could you imagine a soccer game that we can't edit the team's tatics? I could, that's FIFA. Now, with this WE6, I can give my FIFA 2004 to my friends, cause I don't need it any more, WE6 is enough, FIFA is just a waste that should be in the trash can.

Easy to play - lots of fun

I purchased this item for Christmas and got more than what I expected. My 6 year old son was able to play the game at the spot. It is very easy to play (some of our guests where playing the game immediately), very nice graphics, and all the family had a lot of fun together. What I did not like is that the national teams cannot be edited (some shirt designs do not match the actuals used in tournaments, neither the names of the players), however you can do so with clubs. Overall I give 5 star anyway.

Best soccer game currently available in the U.S.

Forget FIFA. This is THE soccer game, and most console gamers in Europe and Asia don't bother with anything else. Sure, many of the player names are not authentic (but you can still use the editor to correct them and change their attributes, etc.), the graphics aren't that great in closeups (but they're excellent during gameplay, which is what really counts anyway), the commentary is a bit lame (but who needs them, I switch them off), but such minor flaws are outshined by the absolutely marvelous gameplay and controls. Once I saw this game being broadcast on TV, and for a moment I thought it was a real soccer match -- it's that realistic. And to be a good player, you have to play like you're really playing soccer, and "read" the ball as you do when watching it on TV. The controls are intuitive and masterfully designed. No dribbling past 4 defenders alone and scoring, as you can do in FIFA. Team play is essential, and this game continuously surprises you with stunning moments when you gasp and stare incredulously at the screen for a few seconds, like you do when watching a real adrenaline-pumping match. It's hard to learn at first, and you need to spend some time with it, but the more you play, you'll keep getting astonished at its incredible depth. Replay value is limitless, especially if you get one of those controller hubs and hook up four or more players playing in teams. Even my friends who usually don't play video games were hooked by this, and once at a party everyone got crazy about it and did hardly nothing but play this game. This game alone is reason enough for me to buy a Playstation2, not X-Box or GameCube. Until the U.S. release of Winning Eleven 7, this is currently the best soccer game (and perhaps sports game) you could get in the U.S., unless you go for imports or whatever.

Not Perfect YET!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok I have to play Devils advicate and say what's wronge with this game. First, the controls are way complicated. Thats a good and bad thing. For 1, if you dont have the time needed to dedicate yourself to mastering these controls, and I mean you REALLY need time to get it down smoothly, you are basically left in the dust and left with a no fun to play game. Unlike FIFA 2004, were you can pick it up almost right away. Also, the commentating as REALLY bad. Alot of repetition. And the announcers sound very choppy as well. It boarders on being unlistenable!! I usually turn down the commentating just below the crowd volume. On the flip side FIFA 2004 has some of the best commentating i've ever heard in a football game thus far. Graphics are another thing. While they are very good, FIFA 2004 just has an edge there with a more realistic looking game. Although "Winning" has some very nice fluid player movements. And of course everyone can complain about the real/fake club and player names. But that doesnt bother me really considering you can go online and download the real player/team file for your memory card. Or if you have a free weekend you can do it yourself.

The pluses are that Winning 11 has a whole boatload of options. You can spend a few hours just going thru them without even playing a single match! Also, when you get down to really getting a grip of the controls, you'll be able to see just how in depth the play on the pitch can be. Overall "Winning 11 6" is a good football game. I think now though that FIFA has caught up with their release of 2004. Lets hope Konomi ends up on top with their next game.

A great Game

I believe that this game is the best in town at this moment. Great graphics and the control is like play in real life.

World Soccer Winning Eleven 6 International

Lets just start by saying that I am first and foremost a sport fanatic. I have probably played every sports game created for the PS2 and Winning Eleven 6 has grabbed my attention like no other. I am from Canada and football(soccer) is not popular, largely due to everyone's obsession with hockey. However, this is truly a great game and it has it all. That is except real club names, hopefully this will change if Konami can acquire the license. The game is so fun to play, when I first bought it I played for 5 straight hours without blinking, once I mastered the controls I invited my friends over and got footy all over the pitch. Not fare but probably the most fun I've had playing a game in a long time. Canada is not represented in the game but if we ever qualify for the world cup I'll finally be able to beat my Dutch friend using my home country and not the powerhouse Argentinia. This game has everything and if you are a Fifa fan, take it back for a refund and buy Winning Eleven.

The most enticing next-gen football simulation!

To be positive and honest, check out the whole world flooding on this amazing game, being the bestselling football simulation ever! Kudos to Konami for this great game! I cannot help it but stare at the graphics gleaming on the TV screen with fully developed player models and beautifully designed courts including the ball which makes it a showcase for the PS2'S awesome graphics capabilities!

Next comes the sound which is really bringing in some sense, adding to the intense football action. Listen for the clear crowd chants and cheers and the sound of the ball when players are passing it to each other and even the commentary, in which I don't understand, is in Japanese- the only thing which wasn't keeping up!

The version of Winning Eleven 6 in which I now own contains distinct features from the one here all in which they add more fun to the game! Of course you'll see in this version all the worldwide teams with exception of Saudi Arabia club teams and crowd flags but in my own version, vice versa!

Let me say one last thing: Saudi Winning Elven 6 fans, rejoice! Winning Eleven 6 has just appeared in your own town!

What other better thing than to recommend this game to my dear friend Yusef and his younger brother and to all my friends who loved Winning Eleven, enjoy, this is your game!
