I used to play this game from the first edition -thats have a diference name- through all parts on all devices ,japnesse and english (japanesse league and International teams)
and I know more than 30 person those buy the playstation2 just to play this game.
the game level is good but you must think as a coatch .
every new edition have a little diference but basicly its all same like each other-the last always the best.

my advice to you buy this game and watch the TV soccer matches
and compare between the two and you will be shocked.

there is an option file load thats edit the uniforms ,flags and names to look like the real-life and its aowsome.

No question about it Winning Eleven 6 is the best soccer game you can find, I'm glad Konami decided to bring it to America. If you are a true soccer fan this game will rock your world!!!!!

A great, solid soccer game

Ive always only played two soccer franchises: Fifa & ISS/WE. I was a HUGE fan of the ISS series until it disappeared, so i had to move to Fifa. At first it wasn't thaaaat bad. I really LIKED Fifa until a couple of versions ago, when i got bored of stupid AI and waaaaaay too easy gameplay. Luckily, ISS is back, renamed and with incredible features that place it over of FIFA in every single aspect....well, almost.

WE6 has everything. Great AI, simple -yet complex- moves and controls, and awesome animations. The only aspect on which Fifa is better is in the fact that WE6 doesnt have a license. This, however, can be fixed if you have enough patience to download the rosters and pluck one by one the correct names. Besides that, I see no other flaw on WE6. Well, maybe that it is KINDA hard to fully master. This is only a problem if you have never played a soccer game before, or if you have very little experience

So, in conclusion, WE6 is the best soccer game on the market right now.

No Match...!

All I can say for anyone who likes or is interested in the real Football (Soccer as some like to call it), this game is the best of the best....football cannot get any better except if a new version of winning eleven comes out. Rock'n Roll America...

This gamed amazed me. I bought fifa 2003 and loved it thinking that a soccer game couldn't get much better but winning eleven proved me wrong. It is by far the most realistic soccer game ever made. Great graphics. Great gameplay. Great realism. Great game.

Keeps getting better...

I salivated over the reviews I could find about this came until it actually came out in the States. When I finally got it I was not dissapointed, but I WAS discouraged. I tried to play it on 3/5 difficulty thinking it wouldn't be too bad and I became sooo frustrated. This game is not for the casual soccer gamer, it is very hard to play. But WOW ! This is one game that will only grow in your admiration for it. Most other games start out "pretty" but once you beat it (the first or second day) its all "old news". But this game is soo deep, so rewarding (you earn your goals and are fully responsible for your losses too)so realistic, so beautiful, and soooooo worth it. Don't buy it if you are not willing to challenge yourself (extremely) but I tell you, that if you do stick with it, you will be fulfilled beyong satisfaction. You will feel and know that you are the champion (if you ever make it!). Low scoring games, like real soccer, players favor their left or right foot accordingly, free kicks are sooooooo hard but amazing.

Cannot say enough about this game. Although there are technicalities that aren't that great about it(commentary is sub-par but at least they have 5 different languages which is great)(graphics are nice but not the best) (you will have to edit player names to get it just right) and a few other MINOR details... because they take LITTLE or NOTHING off of the overall 10 STARS of the game. This game values gameplay over aesthetics and MAN DOES IT PAY OFF !!!

EXCELLENT GAME !!

Everything that everyone has said about its gameplay times infinity is how beautiful the gameplay is, but regardless I got very upset about the fact there were ZERO authentic UEFA clubs in this game. Also, the ratings of some of the national teams were ridiculously botched. It rates England, Spain, Turkey, Yugoslavia, Netherlands, South Korea, and Wales way too low while teams like Japan, Portugal, and Italy are rated too high.

Aside from that and the ... poor graphics, I couldn't have sked for a better football game. I still feel more connected with FIFA 2003 because of its glossy presentation and authenticity with real clubs, but gameplay-wise, WE6 beats it by a long shot.

Finally, USA version!

Being grew up in Asia, I was spoiled with Winning Eleven series. I played Winning Eleven I to IV so I can appreciate football video game evolution. People who think that FIFA series is fun, obviously have not try Winning Eleven.Order this game, you will be hooked...

Not everyone has a real name.

This is really fun game.
Hard to control, but it's worth to practice.

The only thing I'm disappointed about this game is that not all the players have their real name. I think Konami has a problem with some organization worldwide.

The worst is the Nederlands. Their names are listed as ORANGE001, ORANGE002, and so on. I heard a rumor that the Dutch organization [angered] Konami Winning Eleven staffs, and that was the result. Also, some national teams use sound-alike names with faulty attributes.

Other than that, it's just really really good soccer game to play.

Enjoy!

I'm a real fanatic of the WINNING ELEVEN SERIES, and i let you know that this is the best of all, this is real simulation, the graphics are just so perfect, not shiny and saturated, real colors; the players have smooth movements, the ball speed is real not exaggerated; i love it, and if you can find the first JAPANESE version even better! not this American version, not the Japanese League version, the FIRST ONE! sponsored by Adidas; everything is in Japanese: text, comments, uh! EPIC!

Better than Pro Evolution Soccer 2008? YES. imo. just try it.
