this game was overall challenging but monotonous when it came to nemesis every 15 minutes. Nemesis was cool as a boss but should limit him to 3 appearances in the game. Machine gun was awesome, magnum was cool, mixing powders was great. I liked the divergent story lines it lends you more control of the story. I am a big resident evil fan i want to play re when i'm sitting in my rocking chair at the local old age home.

Resident evil 2, may i say, is one of the best games of all time. So was re1, re0, and re code veronica. But not resident evil 3. First of all, whats with the difficulty mode?!! U either put it on easy and it starts u with enough ammo to finish the rest of the game with, or u put it on hard and it makes it so u barely have enough. But the worst part is the tyrant. It chases u so u barely have a chance to explore. It literally follows u through doors and into new areas constantly! He's hard to kill and always comes back. Plus he can kill u in one or two hits and is fast. It takes away from the fun of the game. Forget this game and try resident evil 2 or one of the others..... you will thank me later.

This game has very tight graphics and new game play. The only set back with this version is the fact that you always have to return to the intro when you get killed. The zombies move alot quicker and in larger packs making the game much tougher. An obvious buy for all Resident fans.

One word of caution: This is different from the other Resident Evils. This game tends to be more gory...gore that looks TOTALLY REAL. I remember this monster took Brad (a S.T.A.R.R.S. Member), who was trying to fight him (the picture of him is on the cover of the game) and he took Brad and ripped him in half! THE THING LOOKED SOOO SCARY... I was freaked out, because you could see his spine and blood was gushing and squirting out of him...so if I was the ESRB commander, I would rate this Extremely Mature...although, I think kids 14 and over can handle it fine, it's still quite a shock, and I remember having bad dreams about RE2...Whoa...you don't want me to talk about the bad dreams I had about RE3, man... I'm not saying I am a afraid or anything, because I can handle it...but, I am forewarning everyone that this is way different than RE1 or 2. It is much more gorier...but all in all it's a great game-the graphics are something else and the sound's alright. Peace.

Usually I rent games first but I knew how good RE2 was and I had faith in RE3. WELL THAT WAS A STUPID MOVE!
A very short game that I beat the night I purchased it and with only one character to use the game has little reply value and will most likely be a dissappointment to most RE fans.
If you are a fan of RE then you will probably like the game but as for everyone who is just getting into the RE/Survival Horror games I think you should rent the game first or just think about getting RE2 instead.(or Dino Crisis)
BE WARNED! RE2 is a much better game and by now it is probably a much better buy.

had the nemesis worn a hockey mask they could've just referred to him as jason. he is just like jason from friday the 13th because he's super-strong and very powerful and no matter how many times you drop him he just won't die and keeps coming back (til the end)....this game serves as a very worthy installment in terms of sounds, graphics, and gameplay. this one pretty much had it all but they should do without the giant spiders next time.

I was already familiar with the RE series when I first played this one, so I had extremely high expectations for it. Well, most of the elements exceeded what I had hoped for, except for one, which I will go into detail with later. First, the good stuff. The control scheme is about as good at you can get from a fixed-camera 3rd-person game. The dodge feature and 180-degree quick turn are very welcome additions to the game. Also, the voice acting is greatly improved from the previous games. Those who have played the original RE know what I am talking about. The weapons in the game (the assault rifle in particular) were excellent, though their sound effects could've been a bit more realistic. The Mercenaries minigame is the best RE minigame to date. And finally, like every Resident Evil game it had a wonderful soundtrack, helping to enhance the dark, desolate atmosphere. All in all, this is an excellent-playing game.
So why didn't I give it 5 stars? There was one major piece of debris in the road- it added almost nothing to the RE storyline, one of the things that really drew me in to the series. The "story" was mostly about a big monster chasing the main character around. It came as absolutely no surprise to me when I found out who the human antagonist was. And the little bit of crossover between this game and RE2 was nonsensical. Why were some of the doors barricaded here not blocked off so in the second installment in the series? It would have made more sense to have had them locked. I went into this game expecting intriguing plot twists and and more lies in the big conspiracy of the series. Instead, I just got more monsters to shoot and more puzzles to solve.
However, overall, this game is a blast to play, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for action and fun over a substanial plot.

I thought this game was great. The graphics were spectacular and the sound was amazing. However, nemesis was far too easy to beat and he lacked speed like the tyrant did re2. But on the plus side I would like to add that this game is by far the best one in the series and I would recommend everyone to go out and buy it.

this game is very fun, plays quickly and offer a lot new features, wish it was longer though but the game is a little more difficult than the previous resident evils but still fun.
