The standard for game design.

This is the best game I have yet to play. It took me six months to finally defeat,figure out and fight my way to the end of this game. This game was like a very suspenseful movie that I was controlling. Many times in the game I was actually sweating from fear. You don,t know what,s waiting for you around each corner, waiting to jump out at you and scare the crap out of you. Even my family and onlookers were startled or to afraid to play this game because of the realism captured in enormous worlds and creepy CD sounds.

Tomb is unlike any other video game ever created. I'm sure many people would agree.I'd never thought I'd ever get into a video game, but I did with this one. I partially regret it. I spent too many hours playing tomb raider.Tomb raider had great action and storyline. Some adivice though, don't play tomb raider out like I did. The hypest part was when the dinosaurs were chasing you.Egypt was fun and so was rome. This game is scary and tense at times so beware. But it was fun.I must warn you that the end gets kind of crazy. Tomb raider is a good game overall.

This game is ok, I guess.... I don't really understand why you got to kill animals and things... This game is too dungeons and dragons for me... I like more action, games you don't have to think so much.... graphics are good, and I am sure alot of people might enjoy it.... It is just too slow for me.....

The game that birthed an icon

Lara Croft, a British icon rapidly coming on a par with James Bond, is the star of this sassy and imaginative 3D-platformer that was launched more than few years ago now. Originally a replacement for Indiana Jones (Lucasfilm turned down Eidos' approach with the idea) Lara has blossomed into a cult star in her own right.

What was a secondary idea has been proven now to be a slick marketing move. Every girl wants to be like Lara, male gamers want to protect her as they guide her on her way. Lara's appeal is universal. In the game, Lara is the "Tomb Raider", an adventurer-cum-archaeologist who searches out ancient artifacts whilst running a gauntlet of rivals, assorted wild beasties and deadly opposition.

The locales she adventures through here are Peru, ancient Greece/Rome, Egypt and an Atlantean island in search of the tripartite Atlantean Scion. Lara is the most smoothly animated character in 3D adventure-gaming and she gets better in the sequels. She can jog, jump, climb and swallow-dive without looking in any way incontinent (unlike others) and she has a nice array of weapons to choose from, including her John Woo-inspired two handguns which come as standard.

The action is cinematic and continuous, your very own adventure indeed. Spending a few hours in Lara's company is well worth it. Highly recommended, even to those who don't normally play video games because they're supposedly for kids alone.

This is one BIG girl! (If ya' know what I mean!)

This is Lara's first game ever. The game that started the websites, the clubs and all that fuss about her b( )s( )ms. I think that you should get this game. It's very fun and has nice control.

A great game for anyone.

I thought this game was a great thill-ride, once you start you just can't stop. With many levels, weapons, etc. you are sure to love this game. Tomb Raider is worth every penny.

Tomb Raider is the best PS game (besides Bust A Groove). Tomb II is good, and in CHRONICLES our 2 favs: Larson and Peirre show up 4 a visit. (LARA 4 evr)

Ok, ok.I don't LOVE the game. But still it didn't stop me from getting a 5 disc score.I suggest if you're new to the series, keep in mind you'll be shooting a majority of animals, not humans, to any hardcore Metal Gear Solid people. Well to start things off Lara goes to Peru, Incan Ruins, Egypt, and even Atlantis in search of an item called the scion.Whilst blasting the occasional wolf or lion into oblivion, I must admit that the levels can be annoying once you practically searched every crevice, hallway, etc. for the switch to your exit and that I had to use the level skip code more than once.But, what the hell.It's a great game.No mistake.
