For the Best Zoo EVER!

4 Rating: 4, Useful: 12 / 12

I always wanted to get the Zoo Tycoon series, but I never did seem to get around it. When I saw this I had to snap it up. It comes with both expansions and new animals that you previously had to download from the website (Which some of us never remember to do). I love that my favorite animals are in here and you can custom build the Zoo to suit ALL your favorites, currently living and extinct. And, with the ability to click on the customers, you can find what the people want to see in your zoo and make it that much more perfect. For those out there that like to cheat a little, a new feature is the ability to pick up customers and place them somewhere else. If you find that a customer is hungry, you can pick them up and move them right next to a resturaunt. It is a little confusing when you first start, but well worth it!

It Just Never Gets Boring

Zoo Tycoon is a very fun game. At first I tried a demo with my friend and we were amazed at how much fun it was. We couldn't stop playing it. When I bought the Zoo Tycoon Complete Collection it was even more fun because you have a bigger varity to choose from like more animals, fences, paths, and alot of other things. You have a whole bunch of zoos to choose from. What's also cool about the software is the marine workers train the marine animals to do shows for the people that are visiting your zoo. The Complete Collection also includes Dinosaur Digs which means you get dinosaurs to put in your zoo. You can spend hours adding and making your zoo much better. With all the outstanding features it comes with you'll never get board. If you get so many people that don't think you are taking care of your animals, you will not be able to buy anymore until they are better. If you do not like your animal, you just sell it and get money for it. If you want to let you animals out of there cage you can, by just breaking the gate. They will come out and atack the people. With Marine Mania, you can make shows for the custmers. But in the mean time you must watch your budget. I think Zoo Tycoon Complete Collection is a exclent game! Thats why I gave it 5 stars.

the coolest game.ever.

i love this game!!! it is so much fun!info for people who wanna buy it:

objective: build a fun, thriving zoo, and make guests & animals happy!

age: any age, really, but kids under 6 will need a little help, but older then that they should be able to do it on their own.

pros: fun, exiting, cute graphics.........ect.ect.ect!

cons: i cant think of any but that if you have the new version of xp it wont work unless you download a patch from zootycoon.com

perks: i like cheats, because it makes the game easier. if you want more money(make sur you do this BEFORE building exibits, because fences break) hold down shift+4 as long as you want, no limits, i think that 11,000,000 is about right for my zoo.

bye!

Fun for some, not for all

The reason I said fun for some is because my sister and I couldn't disagree more about this game. She could care less about playing it, but does enjoy looking at my complete zoos and watching the people and animals move about. I gave this game 5 stars because of the graphics and the authority you have over everything. The designs are endless and there were more than enough animals and dinosaurs that you don't have to recycle the same ones in each play. I also like how the animals will do as they please in their habitats like lie down and sleep, play, run or go in their shelters like in a real zoo, and the Sims will peer into the fish tanks, sit and eat, take pictures and hold up maps and read them. Very cool to see them do this rather than walk aimlessly.

I love Lording over every detail like bushes, plants, benches, bathrooms, food stands, whatever. And once you have your zoo halfway complete it's very cool and fun to watch the Sims take advantage.

The only problem I have is that not every freestyle scenario is that cool. For example, there are some that give you a landscape of pyramids or huge rocks or something like that and that's useless. You need a flat landscape to build zoos! And when I used the construction button to change them that took up memory and made my computer slow down. All in all, I use the same several flat landscapes to build.

TIP: Get some of your zoo built before you add animals. Once even one animal appears guests arrive and if you don't have things like food stands or bathrooms they complain. Just build their habitats and put them in when you have bathrooms and places for the Sims to eat. Make sure the first thing you do is allot money to conservation because that's how you get more things to build with.

Use the money cheat (hold down shift + 4) and it will give you infinite money. I say about $2,000,000 is good to keep you building to your hearts content. Without this money cheat the game can get boring unless you're a great money manager. I'm not and without money you're just sitting there waiting for your zoo to earn money so you can build something else.

Don't use this cheat in the middle of play because your habitat walls will fall. Also, be careful with the T-Rex and the Apotasaurus. They love to break free. All in all, fun. I have this for Mac, and if you can get it cheap, do it but don't pay $50 for it.

One of the Best Simulations

Zoo Tycoon Expansion Pack is surely one of the greatest simulations in the world. Compared to Simcity and Sims, Zoo Tycoon offers more reality challenges such as designing and making a comfortable environment for the different animals. For example, the polar bears need snow, salt water terrain, and they need rocks. On the other hand, the walrus needs not only snow and salt water, but also grave stone, and grass. Budget is also an important thing to consider, since in this game, you can lose money easily from expenses. This computer game is useful to practice creativity and also math and prediction. A game for all ages, fantastic.

My 10 year old loves this!

My daughter picked this game for her birthday, and hasn't stopped playing since. I especially enjoy how the game allows her to plan in advance, have consequences for her planning, and deal with zoo "problems" in a logical way.

The best game ever!!

I got Zoo Tycoon Complete Collection for my birthday. It is so fun! My brother and I both love it. Here are some pros and cons about the game. PROS: 1. You can build an amazing zoo with animals, marine animals, and dinosaurs.
2. It is extremely educational.
3. It is super fun!
4. See for yourself!

CONS: 1. Guests dying of thirst, hunger, or bathroom needs sometimes walk right past a restaurant,a drink stand, or a bathroom.
2. The animals and the guests are very hard to please.
3. The zoo staff (especially mantience workers) sometimes walk past what you want them to do.

I reccommend the 'Kids Map' scenario for beginners or anyone else because: 1. Part of the zoo already exsits.
2. Everything is available at the beginning.
3. They won't not let you adopt more animals due to mistreatment.
Anyway, this game is AWESOME and I reccommend it to anyone older than 7.

Very, very, very fun!

I played this game for a week streight after getting it for my birthday! I love to create my own zoo/aquarium/dinosuar park.

The zoo is the easiest of all. Its a bit hard to create exhibits but still fun! Although you have to be careful because fences will break down and some will need constent repair.

The marine park is a bit harder. You sometimes have to re-shape the whole tank and this can be costly. But often marine specialists check on animals more then zookeepers.

Dinosuars are really hard. Or atleast for me. They are always stomping out there trees and need constant exhibit repair. But I do enjoy releasing them every now and then

The staff are fairly smart. Although they don't always do what you want. Sometimes your animals will get sick or something because there is to much poo in the exhibit. But instead of cleaning it first they will clean the poo. And this can be difficult because they won't do anything else.

I know I said a few bad things earlier about the game, but it can be alot of fun if you know how to play it right. I caution you to be careful. It is easy to loose money because its not easy to earn it but easy to spend it without knowing! But it is really fun to create an animal exhibit then watch your animals. Also you can create shows and watch your animals perform. Especially orcas and dolphins. You can also build things like reptile rooms, primate houses, gift shops, food courts, swim with dolphins, and other tourist attractions. All in all, this game is fun. If you have enjoyed the Roller Coaster Tycoons, then you will probably like this.

An Astoundingly Addictive Game!

I can play this game for hours on end and not get bored.Everything is so simple to do, yet there is always something to challenge you. For me, it's those pesky snow leopards...so fussy! I am also thrilled at the fan support availible for this game. The official site looks pretty but there isn't lots of help there. But there are plenty of fan created sites that are chock full of helpful information and strategies. zootycoonunlimited.com has helped me out lots of times, and they are so friendly there. If you but this awesome game, you should certainly check out Zoo Tycoon Unlimited USA to make your experience complete!

and lock the doors! This game is too much fun! The first time I played it I was amazed at the realism. You not only have to build a layout that is asthetically pleasing to your guests but you have to maintain it as well. The animals you add to your zoo must be kept happy at all times or you won't be able to purchase more. An animal advocate group will actually prevent you from purchasing new animals until you fix the existing exhibits. The guests have to be kept happy or your zoo won't make any $$$$$ and you won't be able to purchase new animals. From the animals to the zoo workers to the concession stands and right down to the public restrooms and trash cans! You can check the status of your zoo, how many guests are visiting, how many are happy vs. unhappy (Make sure you have plenty of restrooms and benches for guests to relax). Watch the filters on your Marine life water tanks! And be careful to watch the fencing around the lion cage (I accidentally removed a section of fence by accident and one of my guests was attacked)! This will teach your children (if you let them near it) to manage money and given them a sense of responsibility. BUY THIS GAME!!!
