Love this game, don't build a too big park

This game is awesome. It is also good for people who like to manage money, zoo rating, animal happiness, and guest happiness. It is very hard to make money if you have a large zoo however, unless you have happy people. Remember, happy people give a lot of money in donations and buy a lot of stuff!! I once had a zoo that made 20- 30 thousand dollars a month off of donations alone! One thing that can get tedious is keeping the animals happy, and building perfect animal exibits.

I love this game!

This game is so cool! I am 11, and have always been an animal addict. It really could not get more educational. Sea World is like my all time favorite place, and I love being able to recreate it in my own way. I did not really like the Dinosaur Digs pack. Even the strongest fences can not contain the dinosaurs. And they keep ruining their enviornment. You have to go back, like every 5 minutes and fix the fence and clear away all the rubble. The guests in all my parks tend to stay near the entrance. It is hard to get them away from the door, and to the rest of the park to see the animals. But I love the game nontheless!

Great game!!!

This game is a great game for people who love animals. The graphics are good and everything is very realistic. It can be geared for male or female; boys will enjoy letting the T-rexes run rampant around the zoo and the girls will love all the cute baby animals. It is really easy to get the hang of this game, and once you do, you are hooked! For people who are looking for a challange, I recommend the scenarios. They are really cool and a lot of fun. If you want to do your own thing, pick the free play. There are endless possibilities awaiting you if you buy this game. It really is the best out of all of the tycoon games!!

Addicting, maybe too addicting...

Zoo Tycoon Complete Collection is by far the best Zoo Tycoon out there. With all of the features available, you can create super zoos combining regular zoo animals, aquatic animals, and dinosaurs. At first, the controls can be a little intimidating, but taking the tutorials makes the controls seem easy. You can choose between freeform mode, which allows you to build your own zoo your way, or pick a scenario with a certain goal in mind. All of the zoo structures makes decorating a zoo easy, and it's fun to make zoos with a certain theme, like a Safari or Rainforest. The Zoo Tycoon website is a great help, and it has cheats and free downloads. It also has links to other websites that give hints and more cheats. It's hard to just stop playing this game, because you can never just "win" it. You can play the scenarios, play freeform games, or just set some big dinos loose on the zoo. (It's a great way to relieve stress ^_~) Buy the game, it's worth the price!

Wow! One of my favorite games of all time. Not to hard, but challenging enough to be fun. It has every animal you can imagine and more. Letting your carnivores and dinosaurs out of their cage adds to the fun!

Easy-To-Understand 9/10
Sound 8/10
Gameplay 10/10

Overall 10/10

My dad got this game for Laura (my sister) and I. we played and played. My first zoos were not very good. But soon I started creating more amazing zoos. My most recent zoo called "Animal's World" curently has over 30 kinds of animals. In it there are lions, polor bears, dolphins, wolves, okipi, gazelle, cheetas, hippos, tigers, zebra, girrafe, wild horses, puiguins, ostriches, seals, walrus, sea lion, leopards, anteater, pandas, and much more. (Pretty much every land animal avalible.) And with all those animals comes lots of responsibilities and much staff. This game also helps you learn different animal's needs and lets you be the boss.
But that is just the biggining. If you feel like it you can block your guests in the zoo with a gate and release your lions or any animal. Of course your guests will scream for dear life. And beileve it or not if you blocked them in they can't escape out of your zoo so they will be attaked or eaten. But do fire your keepers or they will recapture them and all fun will end.
Or if you don't want your guests eaten, stick a predator with prey and watch the kill. Such as monkeys with lions, seals with polor bears, cheetas with girrafes, and many more commonations.
If you want a calm zoo, follow your animals and guests needs. Don't release lions or plan an attack. And remember don't run out of money or else you can't purcase anything until you can afford it.

Entertaining for all ages

Recently when I was home on vacation I got really bored and noticed that my little brother had this game so I started playing it. He's 14 so I figured it had to at least be semi decent. I fell in love with this game. I'm 25 and that may sound sad, but I could play this game for hours. I am a very challenged driven person and this game provided that. It was easy to figure out the basics. After playing the game for a couple weeks I learned little tricks that made it even more fun to play. Since returning to my home I've really missed this game more than I though. It is fun, challenging and time consuming. It is also really cool when your animals have babies. I recomend this to anyone who loves similation games.

I bought this game for my family last week, and they have been having a blast playing it. We have fun building up our zoos, then taking the wilders animals and putting them in with the tamer ones and seeing what happens and my kids have fun wreaking havoc in the zoo by taking away the gates to the tiger and dinosaur exhibits and watching the zoo customers flee for their lives. We enjoy this better than playing Sims with people who do just ordinary everyday stuff.

OK for a while

I just love the genre of this game, but I don't love this game. The game is nice to view, and the zoo customization is really fun. However, the logic of the customers really spoils the game.

First, putting dinosaurs in your zoo does not attract as much customers (and their donations) as one would think. Therefore, the expensive dinosaur with its high maintenance costs will cause your zoo to go bankrupt.

For the marina part of this game, the customers only care about viewing the shows. You'll see crowds (hundreds for me) of customers walking from show to show passing by most everything else in between. Additionally, the timing of the shows is terrible. The crowds will keep walking towards one even though its over. In addition to that, its funny and frustrated to me when I see loads of people walking back and forth between shows, missing them all. These crowds of people significantly affect the game's performance, slowing it down big time.

The only aspect of this game that I do enjoy is the stuff not including the expansions (the original zoo). Customers just love looking at and donating money to the regular zoo animals, especially the endangered ones. Well, one would think that Microsoft is popular for making updates, but not for this product.
