Ok, this is the second Nancy Drew game I have bought. The first one I bought is also the latest one, Mystery in a Haunted Mansion. I must say that I am enjoying this more. I started out with Jr. Detective on the new one, which I found challenging, and felt I was ready for Master Detective on this one. It never ceases to entertain me. It's so much fun, and great since it is based on "reality"...i.e., these things could actually happen, and it's like an average woman doing the sleuthing, just like the books, which were great, and that I still love! You really feel like the little detective with your "clue book" you get with it to write down all the pertinent information you find along the way....sometimes you get stumped, just like in real life, but, alas,...if you go to the mfgr.'s website, ... , and do the "games chat" feature, you can chat with other players and pick up some INCREDIBLY valuable tips to "help" you along the way! More features I enjoyed on this were the hysterically funny character "idiosyncrasies", like the things Rick Arlen says or some of the other little things and items you see along the way, which crack me up. And you can always "call" your friends to get help from them in the game also...I am too addicted to speak. I am buying the "first" game after I finish this one and cannot wait until a new one comes out...my only complaint?? They aren't making new ones fast enough!

A great great game ! The graphics and clues are as good as Secrets Can Kill. Which I really liked a lot also. Great talent in writing these games. The puzzles and intrigue make this a lot of fun. It's better than the books because you keep finding new clues and don't want to stop playing it. I love putting all the clues together.

When I first heard of the Nancy Drew game, I thought it would be another rinky dink attempt of the book industry to make money on the computer rage.

However, I was pleasantly surprised when I first played the game. The graphics are very nice. The game engine is smooth running on a faster computer (Pent 2 or 3 level). The 3D engine is also done very well.

The colors of the scenery are exceptional and the attention to detail is a delight.

There are a few things that annoy me- Nancy's voice is a little grating. I get used to it, but it somehow seems a little off to me. Not worth ruining the game though.

Another thing is that the characters all look like those little mannequins that you use in art class -those wooden people that you draw from.

I find it hard to really get involved with people that look like wooden dolls. The way they splice the characters into photographs looks really hokey to me.

However, that all said, I still enjoyed the game immensely. The puzzles are challenging, but not impossible. The music is well matched to the game. The atmosphere is more like the older Nancy Drew books that I prefer to the newer ones. It is very comforting to be in the game- kind of like living in the Nancy Drew book.

You have to go from Day to Night to find some clues- very original and entertaining.

Worth the price and very welcome in the PC game market where everything is so barbaric now. I highly recommend it!

This is Nancy Drew of old but better! My mother, a hard core Nancy Drew fan, sent this to my daughter. Both she and I loved it. We spent hours with hot chocolate, Nancy and each other...and had a blast. The game kept both of us interested and on the edge of our seats. We cant' wait to start another one.

This program was easy to instal and use. We found no glitches and both of us found it very easy to use. The graphics are excellent and the music really helps make this a nail biter in places.

We would both recomend this to anyone! WOW!

Great gift for Christmas....

I love this software. The graphics are great, and very realistic. There is a suprise around every corner. This is great software not only because it is fun, but it also makes you think. If you like mystery stories, I strongly suggest buying Nancy Drew Stay Tuned for Danger!

Stay Tuned for Danger was a well thought out game. The setting of a television soap opera set is a great idea. The whole game is 3D, including the characters (unlike Secrets Can Kill, the first mystery in the Nancy Drew series). There are many activities, such as finding codes to get into buildings at night, putting together a ripped letter, disarming a bomb seconds from exploding, and more. Some of the puzzles didn't help you much, just saying things you already know that are going on. You can also get built in clues from your friends (but only if you want them). So you might be asking me, "Why only 4 stars?" This game wasn't quiet as lively as other Nancy Drew games such as Treasure in the Royal Tower, Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake, and Message in a Haunted Mansion. The whole atmosphere of Stay Tuned For Danger was just a little weak. All the same, I highly recommend it for all Nancy Drew fans 8-16. (They are especially fun at sleep overs at night when you can scream with all your friends!!)

I don't play video games, but I am a huge Nancy Drew fan and couldn't resist trying one. This game is a total blast. I love it. I'm 42 years old and a novice at video games, so I''m behind the times, but any Nancy Drew fan will find this game addictive. I guess 10 year old kids are way ahead of me. I found it kind of difficult (on the master level), but like I said I'm behind the times.

The game is full of clues and will keep you thinking after you exit the game for days (or hours) depending on how long you can stay away. I highly recommend it. I have already ordered the other two Nancy Drew games on the market. I can't wait until they come out with another one!

stay tuned for frustration

My wife and I are both college graduates and enjoyed playing the later games in the Nancy Drew Series (Mansion and Final Scene) very much, however this game fell real short of our expectations. For starters the interface is clumsy and does not allow the player to see or interact with critical items unless they are approached from a certain angle. Often the player will find him or herself relying more on repetitive clicking of certain areas, than using the deductive reasoning involved in solving the later games in the series. At times, the game seems more like a "whereisit?" than a "whodunnit?".

The game is too linear at times, in that you must do certain things that do not seem crucial to the plot in order to proceed to other events, yet at times the game lets you proceed onto other events unprepared, setting the player up for great dissapointment (tip: do not save the game in the "bomb scene" unless you have found the wirecutters).

Perhaps the most dissapointing thing about the game, when compared to the later games in the series, is the lack of realism in both the dialouge and puzzles in the game. There are too many times when the game should include the opportunity to question suspects to get a better grasp on their personalities and does not. This is not a problem in the later games which usually include thoughtful conversations with the suspects.

Many of the puzzles also make you feel like you are jumping through the programmers' "hoops" instead of relying on logic. The final puzzle is particularly worthy of note in this case, as you are given a timed puzzle which can only be solved by trial and error. At times in the game, you are given seemingly solvable puzzles that do not have impact on the progession of the game (such as word jumbles that state obvious things). At other times you are misled to believe that you can find important clues by performing certain actions, which lead nowhere. Realistic solutions to puzzles are also sparse in this game. For example, at one point, you are required to cut some wires (in a hurry), but are not allowed to pick up a scalpel that is right in front of you.

On a more positive note, the game does have and excellent story line and sometime seemed as though it would redeem itself, but each time it began to flow nicely gameplay was hindered by another problem. In sum, stay away from stay tuned for danger and start with the later games in the series if you want to try a Nancy Drew adventure.
