I remember Nancy Drew from when I was a little girl, it is part of the growing up process, so now it's on Software....I finished my Xmas shopping with this and was so happy to be giving it to my lil neighbor, Emily, for her xmas Gift....I am sure she will love it as much as I did the books.

Nancy Drew-Secrets Can Kill is a good program and it keeps you occupied for a while. Actually, I think it keeps you occupied for too long. I have had this software since it came out and I still have not solved the case. For some people staying occupied can be a good thing, but whats the point in having a mystery game when its immpossible to solve the mystery? Other than that I think this is a good program.

Nancy Makes A Comeback

Nancy Drew. The girl whose books your mom used to read. Get ready for a new Nancy. She's back in action and better than ever in the new computer games by HER interactive. A whole new meaning to "independent woman"!!! Nancy tours Soap opra set to solve an uncanny mystery! She meets stars and crooks, and with your help, saves the day. Become the detective and search for clues.
I've played, and solved, all of the mysteries and I can't wait for more. I recommend you start w/the early games and then work your way up!!

Too linear!

This game *is* fun, but too often you have to take things
in a specific sequence! If you've already solved a puzzle
you shouldn't have to go back three steps and solve it
again (and again, and again) to put it "where it belongs".

Also, unlike the other Nancy Drew games, navigation is a
royal pain. The "turn back" arrow just un-zooms, rather
than actually turn around; there are too many places where
you can only turn left instead of right, etc., etc..

I give it a "C".

This game kept me hooked for hours! It's easy to get stuck, but a detective can find the clues. I recommend that you try this game no matter howold you are.

Super fun & fast paced!

I LOVE all of the Her Interactive Nancy Drew games and I didn't expect any different from this one. I was right to believe it was awesome!!! My friend and I played this during our sleepover and we had a great time. They're quite difficult and I recommend printing a walkthrough for when you get stuck (or visiting the Her Interactive website's safe message board). There are always fun twists and turns to discover and cool things to do. My friend and I used a walkthrough, but I think it's easy enough while still being challenging for a 9- any age year old. (Warning: Ask about how to open a briefcase before you play the game! :D You'll have to and I forgot that the middle numbers must say the code... oops!) It's much less scary than the other games (other than the bomb, death threats, falling klieg lights... :D). Even with the thing fairly frightening things I mentioned it's really quite bright and fun. You'll enjoy it I'm sure, it's a great, engaging investment for your child :)

Stay Tuned for Danger is, once again, a Nancy Drew game I beat. I love it! I mean, this game pulls you in...There are so many suspects and one minute you will be "This person is definitely the culprit," but the next you'll be saying, "Wait, this person is the culprit!" I loved this game a lot! Even though it's only the 2nd Nancy Drew game in the series, the grpahics are wayy better than Secrets Can Kill! I recommend this game to anyone!

Wow!

Here you are again as Nancy Drew now solving another mystery: Why is Rick Arlen, the soap opera star of "Light of Our Love," receiving these horribe death threats? And why is it that everyone in and out of the studio seems to have something against him? You're about to set foot as an extra on the set to sneak around to find out more about the odd death threats. Even clues from cod liver oil to 3D glasses could become important in "Stay Tuned for Danger."

Oh, wow! The characters are now 3D in the second of the Nancy Drew PC game series. This game was so much easier than the first, no 2-disk garbage, and an amazing story that you almost want to never end! Two thumbs up!

One of the Earler games --- and you can tell

Let me just start off by saying that I probably would have enjoyed this game more if I hadn't had the wonderful experience of playing some of the later and more thought-out Nancy Drew games in this series. So comparitively, this game isn't so good, but if you haven't played any of them, it would probably be more fun. I did find this game fun -- it was much better than the first game in this series, Secrets Can Kill, but I found the next game in the series, Message in a Haunted Mansion, to be much more fun. If you are looking to buy one of these games as a gift, that is a great idea first of all. they are entertaining and fun for the whole family. Lots of games say that but these really are! It's also fun to work on them with your friends, siblings, etc, because when you get stuck, you can turn to your partner to help you move on.

Anyway, more about the game... It is set in New York, and one of the biggest stars is receiving threatening letters. You are Nancy Drew and responsible for solving the mystery. Clues are everywhere, and you interact with characters and take taxis around New York.

If you blow something up, fall off a cliff, or do something that would end your case in real life, you can always use the "Second Chance" feature and have a second chance. Actually, you can have as many chances as you need. And, if many people are working on this game at once but they are each playing separately, this can be accomadated -- the game can save up to 8 different games at different progresses in the mystery.

This game is fun but it definitely isn't the best of them. If you are looking for a hard game, go with Danger on Deception Island, or Curse of Blackmoor Manor. A good game to give as a gift to somebody who doesn't have any of these games is Message in a Haunted Mansion. Each of the games is set in a different city or place -- one is on an island, one in a castle, one in a theater in St. Louis, one in San Francisco.... and the newest, Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon, takes place on a train! There are tons of possibilities, and these games will keep you occupied for a really long time. These games are some of the best ever made! Happy gaming!!

I think this is a pretty good game. I have to admit, the graphics aren't great, but they're better than the first game. In the game, you play Nancy Drew, a detective. The plot is pretty good too, and it keeps you so preocupied you will feel as if you really are Nancy Drew. If you are looking for a quick game, I have to warn you this may not be for you. It can take abot 2 or 3 days to complete. Except for some graphics and minor flaws(ex. no one blinks and it can take some time to install, depending on your computer) I really enjoyed playing this game!!
