This is a fast pace game, that builds on your experience. The faster you go the better cars that you achieve.

Good looking and mildly entertaining

There isn't much to this game, you drive around the hit things with your car. Sort of an outdated concept not really worthy of Xbox marketing. The graphics and game ambience is great. There are a lot of reviews that try and compare to Grand Theft Auto (GTA), that is not a fair comparison. GTA is a different game, also much more fun. A fair comparision is Driver, but again, Driver is more fun as there are more game options. What Wreckless lacks is alternate forms of game play. Some people tire of the mission based game and want to free roam or do other missions. This game would have been great to have free roam as there are great levels, yet no time to do any of them.

brill game must have for anybody

This game, I will admit, had me pumped up from the get go. Until I received it in the mail! Its a damn kids game. When you look at a title named "Wreckless" you think of a game that would forsurly show car damage right? All it shows is some dull blurs on your car. The realism gives you the feeling of your kids gameboy or something? I mean, when you crash doing 50mph you would think a part of your car might be damged but in this game, NOT! Dont waste your money. Burnout 2 would be a better pick, christ for that matter a slinky would give you more amusement than this!!!!

Wreckless:The Yakuza Missions-A Review by NewAtomMan

Activison never ceases to make great games. When I first played Wreckless,I was instantly addicted to all of the smashing, crunching, and exploding.
There are two storylines to play:Dragon Adventure and Spy Story.

In Dragon Adventure mode, you are Madoka,a female police officer with a sidekick. You're out to get revenge because the Yakuza(Japanese gangsters) almost ran you over, and smashed your pudding. You'll drive a lot of cars, ranging from dune-buggies to motorcycles.

In Spy Story, you play as Ho and Chang, codenamed Hubby-Dubby and Chubby-Wubby.You're out to find out what the connections between the police and the Yakuza are. You'll drive a lot of cars, ranging from a 30-ton monster truck,to a really fast DeLorian(yes,a DeLorian)!

Each storylines have ten levels,Ranging from destroying an armored car to rescuing a Feng Shui professor.

You can smash and run over almost everything you see(except pedestrians).

Graphics:10/10

Gameplay:6.5/10

Sound:10/10

Controls:10/10

PROS
Fully interactive city(you can wreck pretty much everything you see)
Non-stop action
Awesome graphics
Simple controls
Good variety of cars

CONS
Only 20 levels
You have a time limit
No free-roam mode
Can be frusterating

Now,there is a GameCube and PS2 version of this. What's the difference, you ask?Well,in the GC and PS2 versions, you can shoot people, run them over, and hit them and send them flying. There is also more cars and levels.
If you're going to buy Wreckless for younger kids,I suggest you go with the Xbox version, because it's not as violent.

Overall,Wreckless is a game you definetly need to buy.If it's not in your library, then you should be ashamed of yourself!
Plus,Wreckless is a Xbox Platinum Hit,so it costs less than twenty dollars!

dont belive these two people!!

Not as good as the GameCube or PlayStation2 versions. I have both consoles XBOX and GameCube but I dont recommend buying this game for any console. I bought this for XBOX thinking it was the same as the GameCube and PlayStation2 versions. The vehicles dont have weapons on the XBOX version unless you earn the tank. Plus there are not as many cars on the Xbox version and all three versions have lousy graphics anyway.

C'mon... this is cheesy!

After thoroughly enjoying Project Gotham Racing, I was quite disappointed with Wreckless. Graphics, realism, and sound are all weak and the story line is cheesy (Hong Kong gangsters?).

To me, high-end games like Gotham and Halo are reasons I bought the XBOX in the first place. Wreckless looks and feels like an old Playstation-caliber game and I suggest you don't buy it.

Fun, 4 awhile...

Wreckless was a very fun game to play. You chase the mafia around, because you are a undercover cops. While you play through the single player mode, it is very fun. But when you finish it, it is boring. The Xbox version lacks a free-roam mode, which the PS2 & GC verions gain. You can still free ride if you want to, it's just timed...All in all, this game is ok. So, if you like cop chases & mafia games, this one is yours!
