Excellent traditional gameplay

The greatest thing about this game is the control... if you are bent on 100% completion you've gotta be a great video game player. The controls are light and fluid... I feel like Snake hunkering against a wall, waiting for a man to turn his back and then pulling my gun out ever so quickly and smoothly. There are no extra men. No super weapons. Just guns, explosions and harder and harder challenges. If you gotta have a plot and cinematics and all those other nice yet inessential fripperies, pick another game. If you want a good challenge and solid gameplay give this a try.

A virtual treat for MGS fans...

Those of you who couldn't get enough of Metal Gear Solid are likely to get a kick out of VR Missions, which offers different alternative missions to practice your skills and even gives you the opportunity to play as...Cyber Ninja! Ho-ha! Although those folks who never got into the original MGS are likely to pass it up, it's a pretty good game to play for awhile just to master all 300 missions.

The real MGS is better

I'm a MGS fan and really like MGS. But this game is just a VR training for extra fun. It was kind of fun at first, but then I got bored of it b/c it's... just some training simulation missions all in a green hologram place, not a real mission. But for those who want to play ninja and do the special bonuses then this game gots it.

I think most MGS fans will like this, but maybe a few won't. If you're extremely or really into MGS games, then this will be a good addition. If you don't like it that much, it's not a priority to purchase. It may be smarter to rent the game first rather than buy it.

It is fun most of the time some of it is a drag haveing to unlock every thing but if you have the guide then the rating is 5*'s. It is great if you like MGS it is a 4 but if you don't like every thing about mgs it's a 3.

Mainly a good game but can get a litttle fustraiting for the less able players and to a bit to easy for the realy good players. Lots of new options makes it a good game, including the ninja was a good thought but the 3 missions with him are very short. Overall its just VR Training with a couple of realy kewl new things eg.mystery,ninja.... and more VR maps made better.

Great game, could be better

This game is definitely fun and entertaining but there is not much more to do after the training. The spots you get to play need to be longer. But this game is a good way to prepare for MGS. But I liked MGS for playstation better.

This message is important: If you didn't like "Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions" because it lacked a story, do me a favor, and shut up. Why? Because this game wasn't meant to have a story! It's an add-on to "Metal Gear Solid!" Okay, now, I think this game is really worthy of rental because it does tend to get boring after a few hours of playing. The music in this game is better than the VR Mission training in "Metal Gear Solid." The puzzles are a little frustrating (maybe 20%), but not complicated. The Weapons Training is fun, and the Stealth Missions, too. The graphics are the same as "Metal Gear Solid." I have mixed opinions about this game, but I would recommend renting it, buying it is up to you. The Ninja missions are a little fun, but there aren't too many. But as I said, it's up to you to decide if you want to add this game to your collection or not. I hope you enjoy it.

MSG Boot Camp.

This game is a wonderful spin-off of Metal Gear Solid, though it seems as if it would have made a better pre-release before MSG, for training.

The game consists of 300 VR missions. Combat simulations basicly. After you play through the weapons mode you wonder if they are going to ship you off to run around with Snake in alaska some more.

The Graphics Rock. The Sound Rocks. The Gameplay rocks. This game is god-like.

A fun game!

This may not be the sequel but it is still a very fun game to keep the Metal Gear Solid fan occupied. One of the best features is that you get to be the NINJA! Get this game if you like MGS or the Ninja
