Flat..

It is a very fun game, I was so addicted to it that I would find mysalef playing from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. Yeah, this is how addicting it is at first, but after a ahile, you just realize that there isn't really nothing to this game other than promotions, getting jobs, getting Malcolm's mansion. I'm not sure what his name is but I think it is Malcolm.

And also, I have never seen a version of the sims bustin' out on PC, I'm not sure, but I have read countless reviews saying that it was much better than the PC one, do they mean the original sims?

And HAHA the sims for ps2 never has better graphics? Well, that is so not true. In the PC has like, blocks for sims, the sims on this version actually look like they are solid.

One of the bad things is, you cannot zoom in close enough to see how your sims look, and another bad thing is, everytime after I get in the game, the way your sims looked on the create-a-sim option does not matter. They will look much differemt.

And also, the free play mode was really boring and flat. You can make a child on it, but it WILL never grow up. It has to go to school until it dies.

I really think the sims 2 for gamecube and PC is the way to go. They both are much different games, with the same names.

When I first started playing this game I thought it was great, but as I played it more it became more and more boring. You have to always have all the skills you need to get a promotion in the career part of the game, and you have to be happy ,(which is basically impossible). This game is supposed to let you start a family and get married, but that to is impossible to figure out how. This game is also supposed to let you build your very own house but, sadly ypu can't have your own house, you have to share it with which ever sim you are living with. You can't shppse which sim you want to live with either. But overall this game is very adicting and you probably won't want t stop playing it until you get another game. The graphics are pretty good, too.

The new format for the second version of The Sims for consol takes some getting used to, but in the end does not dissapoint.

I'd really recommend getting your hands on the Prima Strategy guide (sold seperately, but shouldn't be!) for "The Sims Bustin' Out", so new players can get a better idea of how to complete goals and objectives in the best way for the different levels. Either buy it, or page through one at a book store briefly to get the main ideas.

The basic premise of the first consol's "Get a Life" mode remains, start at mom's house, get a job, move out, climb the soical and career ladders, etc. But being able to leave the house and visit different sites to meet new people and even move back into previous homes makes this version a lot more dynamic.

There are a bunch of great new social interactions now that can be gained by befriending the different sims NPCs. What really helps is being able to use the trick of staying at mom's house without a job (don't be frugal, keep until money is less than $100, answer the phone, and repeat) and make sure to always answer the phone to bulk up on all of the different skill categories there. You won't lose any energy, and spending the time to develop skills at mom's will allow for career promotions to come faster and easier, and also for more time to socialize and try out the new social interactions. There's also more career paths to chose from this time as well, and you can change careers more here too.

The graphics have improved. The best thing in my opinion is being able to get to zoom in a lot closer to your sims than in the first consol version. There are quite a few new objects, and a great way that they've re-organized items in the buy mode, so that all of the skill developing items are now grouped in their own category. As in the last version, some items have to be "unlocked" before you can use them.

The negatives I found were: 1.only being able to save one "Bustin' Out" character per memory card. I bought another 2 pack of the memory cards to remedy this, but it's so expensive!
2. Load between levels are really long! Can be a pain. 3. Not as many different Create-a-Sim options as I had been hoping for, but more than the last game. 4. The controls for build mode are even more difficult than the previous consol's! The main focus here is the "Bustin' Out" mode, so simfans who thrive on the free-play building should stick to the PC versions.

But overall, as a big sims fan since The Sims first came out on PC, I think this is a fun game definitely worth checking out.

An acqiured taste...

I am a diehard Sims fan and I love all of the Sims; on PC. This one, I only like. My expectations were very high. I found that even though the hunger to play this game over and over isn't there, I do have fun when I do play it now that my expectations are more realistic. I basically expected the same Sims from the PC. This is a different game. You have to come up with a different reason to play.
With the Sims PC, you can create your own world and a multitude of people; you can download new objects, skins, etc. to make your game more personalized.
With Bustin' Out you have to deal with what's there, and can't change the rules. That's not necessarily a bad thing. Just like the PC game, it's all about what you want to do, what mood your in, and how creative you are. If you accept the challenges this game offers, you can have fun.
After I finished the game I just made new weird people with weird houses, scenarios, and personalities and ruined their lives accordingly. I even made a mini-game out of finding new ways to kill them. My favorite is making them jump off the hig-dive with no pool! I don't play it as much as the PC version, but I'm glad I got it. It's a fun diversion. Be Warned: It's very, very slow! It takes them forever to walk across the room!
I suggest that you rent before you buy. It's not for everybody!

Pretty much the same as the first game for PS2

First of all I want to say that in the game you can only "Bust Out" in the Get A Life mode so far that I have noticed. Another thing that I noticed is that when you can "Bust Out" you can only go to people`s houses not go downtown and shop like in the computer versions. There is only one other negative thing that i have to say about the sims, you only have three lots in your neighborhood unlike the other one where you can have many.
Now for the positive side of the game. I liked how many different hair styles and clothing selections you had to choose from. I also thought that the products and graphics were really great, much better than the first one. Overall i think that the game is great just to close to the first one.

Ehh...it's okay.

After playing the original sims for pc for around 2 years, I bought this game expecting hours of fun gameplay like I had from the original pc version. I was wrong. The game is alright, but it's incredible hard to keep all of your motives up whilst managing a job and completing tasks. In free play mode it is very difficult to keep their motives green because you hardly have enought money to buy the necessities. Overall the game was okay, but didn't keep me entertained for long. But everyone has their own opinion on it, right? I recenlty sold the game back to the game store.. :P

Good Game , If you never played the original

The Sims Bustin Out is almost the same game as the original. There are hardly any new features that stand out and i was very disapointed. Although, if you have never played the original, This is a great game to check out.

Memory cards!

I have 3 kids who all would like to play this game, but they can't without erasing the other's progress. Whenever you create another person to play with, it asks you if you would like to save, you click yes, and it asks you if you would like to overwrite the current player. Its stupid, and memory cards turned out costing much more than the game itself, so if you have more than 1 person wanting to play this game, you have three options. Buy massive amounts of memory cards; don't end up buying the game in the first place; or listening to arguing over who erased who's Sims.

I think that Bustin' Out is an improvement of the original 'The Sims' game. They added on differemt kinds of items such as furnature and such, and there are lots more choices when it comes to game decisions. Bustin' Out has a whole different attitude than the original. The only bad thing about it is that we can only choose to have 3 houses in our freeplay neighborhood.
