Bustin' Out

If you're expecting a TRUE sequel to The Sims on PS2, back away now! The Sims Bustin' Out delivers nothing different. Just the ability to leave your house. Plus the annoying memory card thing they've got going on now, and there are still countless things to unlock. Creating your sims on Bustin' Out is alittle more fresh and fun. I bought just because I'm a medium sim-franchise fan. Overall, it's a great game. But nothing really new here. Let's hope Mr. Wrights next release is not just an update, but a true sequel.

Bustin' out? Or just a total bust.

It kept me preoccupied for a few days. Tedium, but with a purpose - unlock all the cool stuff, and actions, etc. Move on to a fun interactive neighborhood. Not.
I endured the raunchiness (the Sims seems to be heading in the direction of the Springer show at this point). I went along with the Fox-style "politically correct" (pausing for bouts of near-nausea) and alternately contradictory goals, increasingly losing interest.
And I'm a stage from the last, having birthed a baby who grew to have a mullet, sporting a dirty shirt and shorts that look like womens' undies. I'd change that, but Maxis for reasons unknown has done away with the vanity concept. I consider momentarily buying a fireplace, burning the kid and going for a clean slate. Instead opt for turning the game off. I'm wondering why I waited so long. I won't be turning it back on.
Don't waste your money. Maxis is building itself a sinking ship, and I for one, am bailing.

These games have developed and exceptional amount since the first 'The Sims'; this one is no exception. The quality of this game is extroordinary and has a very good value. I recomend everyone try this nifty game as soon as possible, before stores run out of stock!

I got the sims for pc and I had to get it because it's different than the pc. You have goals. I'm getting the Sims 2 also. I played through and it's fun online, it's free, unlike the sims online you can talk through a headset. All you need is the online adapter and an internet connection

OK, but the graphics are bad

I bought this game thinking that it was going to be as fun as the last Sims game for PS2. When i got home and played it, i started out on the new and "improved" get a life mode. The new features and options are fun and all, but the graphics stink. Yeah, so maybe you can zoom in more, but the colors are just depressing. It makes the game no fun to play. Also, the get a life missions are just the same as the last game. You start out living with your mom, and then you move in with dudley, and then you go on to live with someone else. I found it really boring and havn't found the want to play it since i first bought it. My advice to you is to only buy this games if you are a big The Sims fan and you love the games. Otherwise, just save your money, or buy a different game.

the game is awasom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. you can do karate chops with people. and you can slow dance with other people. you can do ping pong with people and uletrick air hokey.you can makeout with other sims. just because they arent real you still have to take care of them. get a job to get more money for your sim. start out with a big family because they can die in a fire or if you dont have a lader for your pool then you can drown.just to tell you buy it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

My friend and I were having a slumber party when she came over with her PS2 games. I was flipping thru them when I saw the Sims Bustin Out in her batch. She didn't want to play, so she let me and I was hooked! I didn't play with it long, but what I did see was totally cool!
For those of you that have or know the Sims legacies, then you know you have to go thru Create-a-Sim, which is my favorite part. Then, you end up living with your [creepy] mother until your best friend comes by and says that you can move in with them, blah blah blah.
The entire point of the game is to stop this girl's (and/or guy's) father from stealing stuff from everyone in town.
That is all I saw of the game so far, but I have a copy of my own now so I can see all of the rest of everything!

ENJOY THE GAME!

P.S. The URBZ and the other SIMS game are also fun!

I think The Sims is the best game on the universe. I remember when this game was small and for the PC, but look at it now, nearly 8 expansion packs for PC and a sequel coming, and two games for video game consoles. This highly addictive game rocks, and anyone who likes to either torture people or be good to people will love this game. This game is a definite must-buy for all Sims fans, and non-Sims fans alike. Anyone will have fun with this game.
