Fun, Addictive, Recommended!

Fun game and this time you get to travel around the various neighborhoods as you unlock them. Addictive gameplay, and lots of fun! Be prepared to use a memory card dedicated to this one game, though. Requires lots of memory!

From Pc to consoles! Better than the first console one!

This is my first Sim game, then i played the first console one, then the PC versions (I'm looking forward to be playing The sims 2 and The Urbz:Sims in the city), And i love them!
This is a bit different to the PC version... But it has some good and bad points. These are only 1 story houses so you might feel a bit dissapointed...

Story:4
The story is that you have to move out of your moms farm house(I think thats what it is, since its surrounded by farming things...) and to get a job. Your friend Mimi or Dudley will come by telling you that Malcolm is stealing things from everyone in town! Your job is to move out, get promoted and prove Malcolm that your richer than the richest man in town... Which is Malcolm.
Gameplay: 5
There are 3 modes, Bust out mode, Freeplay and online play.
In Bust out mode, you create a character and start in your mom's house. There are a list of goals to do, and you have to keep your sim happy. After you get a job, you move out of your moms house using a scooter that Malcolm stole... You need to get 2 promotions in your job to move to a new home. I think its a neat feature that you can use your car/scooter to move or visit another place. A few locations are Club Rubb, Studio 8 the art museum, The science lab, Casa caliente, Mimi's place, Dudleys trailor (He kept complaining how poor i was in the first one, but look at him in this game!) your old favorite gothic family from the PC The goth manor, and more! Each time you get promoted or completed a goal you unlock something new like an item or a visit location. In Freeplay you make a neighborhood and a family, do what you want like the PC version...
Graphics: 5
The graphics are good, and you can zoom in more than you could in the other Sim games! You can't zoom in to your sims but it's pretty close enough. THe sims mouth's actually move and blink. And they're in 3D. Although they may look a bit "Edgy" it's still good.
Sound:5
Great sound, better than the GC or XBOX version since its more clear. It doesn't really sound like "Classical" anymore but it's still good! And the way the sims speak are not in english, it's a little language called "Simlish" (At first, i thought it was just bad voice overs..). So they speak there own little language. Listening to the kids sing... Listening to the miserable sim go "WOOHOOWOOHOO!".
Controls: 3
The controls are pretty easy, but the sims don't move just because your moving the analog. The left analog is your cursor which you can highlight things and tell your sim to talk, walk, use an item or any specific thing. The Right is to zoom in, it doesn't zoom in that close but it's the closest in any sim game so far... The Up,Down,Left, right buttons tell your motives, your relationships, your skills and your personality. So you probably need to get use to it.

A new object i might mention is...
The incubator that makes Mutant plants... That can eat your enemy, your friends, your maid and YOU!

OVER ALL:
I finished the game, and it was great! A must have for all Sim fans! Play it now!

HOPING TO BE BETTER

I am hoping that this Sims Bustin Out will be better than the original The Sims on the console. This is how I broke down the old one compared to the PC version:

PROS
More modes:
Use your Sims as they grow up
2 player game included
More control for how your Sims look

CONS
Can't get close in on the Sims
Cheats aren't as good and aren't as many
Much harder to control your Sims and what they do
3D isn't very good, graphics are pretty bad.
Not as fun as the PC version
Can't download objects from online.

I highly recommend the PC version over the last version, byt Bustin' Out promises a lot more, such as better graphics, being able to go downtown like on expansion packs for the PC. The one thing that should always keep me prefering the PC version is control of the Sim. I find it so much easier with a computer than on PS2, but maybe this can be changed. If Bustin' Out shows what it promises, it could be pretty close the computer version,

Addictive!

I bought this game only about 3 days ago and I have been playing it non-stop since!

I am enjoying it tremendously!

My one and only complaint is how quickly your Sim runs out of each "personal state" I'm constantly trying to beat the clock to keep my Sim healthy and happy.

In that sense it can sometimes be frustrating but, honestly it has not stopped me from playing it for hours on end.

I recommend it. :D

Bust Out!

The Sims: Bustin Out is a great game, granted, you don't get to go on dates, go on vacations, or have the ability to become a superstar, but this has a whole new attitude that will definitely grow on you! The graphics are incredible even now! I mean, I was completely amazed with how beautiful everything was!
You get a lot more face and body custimization options- you finally can make your own face- you don't have to pick one of the pre-made ones.. You can customize the Eyes, Nose, and Mouth. Granted, the custimization options aren't as incredible as the Sims 2, but if your computer doesn't meet the requirements of the Sims 1 or the Sims 2 or either it just runs too slowly, this is the game for you!

You can visit locations which I found fairly fun- you don't have to wait to complete the level to see a new house. There are so many awesome locations. Club Rubb was the most fun by far. But you have to remember, the Ps2 can't support ALL those coding, so it lags often. You will find your sim standing for 5 seconds or so to get in the bathtub.
There are completely new characters- or just the original sims from the Sims 1... Just with a new look! Bella Goth had a new look. Mortimer Goth had a new look, too. And they even re-did their mansion which was more mansion-like than the one in the origina sims.

There are like, AWESOME objects. Like the Incubator. Have an annoying sim that just won't leave you alone? Simple! Starve your mutant plant for days and then get that annoying sim to walk to it. And then bye bye simmy! The Sim won't actually die. It just won't come to your house.
And oh yeah the locations.. They are just so wacky. Every one of them has a different attitude. Like the nudist colony, the Love House, or the Haunted Mansion.

It did use to have an online lobby but for some reason they shut the servers down. Which is very sad. I was really looking forward to playing the online lobby but no.

fun, but can't wait for sims 3

This game is great! You can play it like reg. sims or you can bust out which is really fun. When you play bust out it gives you a lot of goals to beat that are really fun when you do a goal you get something for doing it. This game is awsome!

Better then before

This is a great game with much more action. You can move in and out whenever you like and it plays much faster then the first Sims for PS2. I highly recommend this.

Really Cool Game

I just got this game and I really like it because in the computer version of the Sims, the computer can freeze, and get viruses, and if that happens your computer can crash and you can lose your game. On PS2 version, it has better graphics, the furniture has shadows, when it is night it gets dark, and when the sun rises you can actually see the sun rising.

The older sims for PS2 is great too. But this one has better 3d effect, colors, and furniture.
The only difference really is in both PS2 sims you have to unlock the furniture. and on the computer version you dont have to do anything to get the furniture.

Honestly, This is the best yet!

Alright this is good!
