Amazing

This game is a good one. I would go out and buy it right when it comes out. The gameplay is excellent and it is a huge step in the DELTA FORCE series. You have to go and get the demo and see what it's all about.

Don't buy this game

I can't believe they are doing a game after those Special Forces soldiers who were killed on that horrible day in Mogadishu(spelling?).
These people who designed the game couldn't have picked another country in the world. North Korea? Afghanistan? How about Iraq?
This is strictly a respect issue and to make a game off of a terrible incident for this country especially in these times is extremely insensitive and greedy.
To those who think, "well its only a video game" try selling the game to the families of the soldiers who were killed or maimed.

Modern weapons and plenty of action!

Ok, it's scripted to the hilt. But the graphics are fun and you get to shoot/blow up/stab lots of things, and that's what you want in a first person shooter. The graphics are decent, the story line engaging, and the weapons varied enough to make playing the same missions more than once still interesting and entertaining. It doesn't have the accuracy or the detail of CALL OF DUTY, but it's fun and you don't have to think too much. Perfect for when you just want to let off some steam for 30 minutes.

this is a great game

This game is totally awsome. The graphics are great and the gameplay is also. If you are looking for the best first person shooter you have ever seen this is the game for you. Everything from the weapons you can use in the field to the extensive detail of a helicopter makes this game great. You get every penny worth for this game. I highly reccomend buying this game not only for its great price of about fourty bucks but also its replay value. Right now this game is in the top ten of my gaming list next to Topm Clancy's new rainbow six, Raven Shield

AI - What is that?

I don't know what game the other reviewers have been playing, but the AI of the Black Hawk Down that I have been playing is just aweful. Your squad consists of you and the three stoogies; your squad mates can't hit the broad side of the barn when it comes to the bad guys even if the bad guy is standing right next to them so you will have to spearhead to do almost all of the shooting; however, the the three stoogies will take this opportunity to shoot you in the back or from the side or they will run in front of you and block your shoots. You cannot give the three stoogies command so they just basically do whatever. The civilian will run between you and the bad guys, but don't worry because the three stoogies are good at shooting the civilians. The AI of the enemies are just as bad. They shoot all over the place and wander around like idiots most of the times. This game is nowhere near the sophistication of Ghost Recon.

Some other review said that you need a 4ghz procceser that right there should tell you he doesnt know a thing about computers because that procceser isn't even on the market yet so shame on him. To the game thoughe it is a very good first person shooter and the best of the series definetly, a-must-have game. And as for the system requirements just make sure you have a decent procceser and a ok graphics card and you will do just fine :)

Not as good as it should be....

First, let me say that BHD looks fantastic! This is a serious improvement over previous offerings in the Delta Force series. The city is sprawling and realistically dirty and rundown. The vehicles are very detailed. Explosions and smoke are fantastic.

So, why three stars? The game is unbelievably hard! Too hard to be considered fun. Your AI teammates are worthless. They won't help you one bit, so you are left to fight approximately 100 people per mission on your own. All this adds up to extreme frustration. Not what I paid [this price] for.

It seems that very little thought/design was put into this aspect of the game. What's disappointing is that the hectic feel of the game really creates an atmosphere that is different from most FPS shooters on the market. A definite plus I think. If only it played as good as those other games....

Loved The Whole Thing

Having been playing 3D-shooters for a decade, I'm hard to please nowadays. BHD literally knocked my socks off. First thing that grabbed my attention was the ambience. NovaLogic really hit the nail on the head with the 3rd world/desert "feel". This is how the place actually looks. The only thing they didn't put into the game is the smell, but THAT is better left imagined. The next thing I liked is that mindless blasting into an area or room doesn't get you much. Thinking and planning work best. I also like the way the "enemy" will come after you, like in reality. You have to "watch your 6" or you'll die early on in the game. I have payed all the maps that come with the game and have downloaded over 100 new ones and have been very entertained. I recommend this game highly and am looking forward to the next one in this series from NovaLogic.

Outstanding Multiplayer Mode

This is the best war simulation game I ever played. I had the first version of Delta Force which was good but this one is exceptional.
The multiplayer mode is fabulous and players all over the world are developing new maps which are more and more challenging.
What I am missing is jungle maps, a better Sniper outfit (you can easily spot them even from far) but these are details.

The single player mode is highly emotional, especially when you reach the mission "IRENE" (you know what this means...)

I would have to say that delta force:black hawk down is one cool game. I mean, how could you not like this heart-stopping thrill ride. It has every thing you could hope for! From sitting on top of a Humvee blasting your way though Mogadishu to sitting on the side of AH-6 little birds waiting to be dropped off at your destination.
