its really hard. I am on level 6. [couracant] and i have had this game for about 2 months. its better than episode one phantom meanace though. i like that you can choose between 5 jedi or more. tattoine was really hard and if you cant beat the boss keep attaking cause eventually it'll slam into a wall and free you. I liked driving the umm whats it called? on level 3. ATT? well thats cool but how do the droids know your not one of them? if you've always wanted to be more of a jedi this is agerat game for you.{ maces lightsaber is blue but should be purple and plos is a different color than in the movies/books.}

The worst Star Wars game ever to come out

If you are looking for a brilliant Star Wars game, you're in the wrong place. This is the worst Star Wars game ever.

Multiplayer is tedious and frustrating, because if one person dies by falling off a cliff, then the screen moves so that the other player is inevitably doomed. This is due to the fact that the producers forgot to make it split-screen.

That's excluding the fact that there is really no fighting/action and that falling off of cliffs is the entire purpose of the game.

There are only ten levels, and rather than making the enemies harder or the action more intense, the producers decided to make more cliffs for you to fall off of! Yipee! And on top of that... there is a little battle droid waiting at the other end of just about every cliff you're supposed to jump over. He shoots you with his blaster when you are almost there, causing you to freeze in mid-air and fall into the abyss you were just jumping over. He is, in the later levels replaced by another droid doing the same exact thing. He's just doing it with a rocket. Brilliant!!!

3D??? This game would be better off 2D, because the position of the camera doesn't follow the player, but moves from one point to another to give you the worst angle possible for any action game.

The combat is limited, because you cannot jump and attack at once, and if you jump over a droid, it is turned around before you are, and ready to shoot you without a moment's delay. Or, if you prefer, it will just shoot you while you are jumping over it, because it always remains on target. This will leave you constantly pressing one button to attack from beginning to end.

As for upgrades and force moves that you aqquire; by level five, you have been given every force move in the game. Yes, I mean it, all three of them. There were more Force moves than that in the Star Wars games for Super Nintendo.

It goes as FAR from the movie as it can without calling itself, "Star Wars; Jedi Cliff Jumping." None of the jedi were ever in a Naboo swamp fighting armies of Gungan's just for the thrill of it. None of the Jedi would have spent their free time jumping from one flying cruiser to another killing random people in Courascant. And not one of the Jedi would have been stupid enough to jump from balcony to balcony to get to the Queen, when it was obviously easier just to use the stairs.

I could go on and on about how much I liked this game, but instead, I'll just list the pros and their corresponding cons.

Pros

1. Co-play

2. No blood

3. Good cheats

4. You get a battle tank

5. You get a STAPP

6. It's challenging

7. You get force moves

8. Based on a Star Wars movie

Cons

1. Co-play sucks

2. Almost no fighting

3. To get cheats you have to perfect the whole thing

4. The battle tank is in just one level

5. You can't ride around in the STAPP

6. It's tedious

7. You master all three Force moves by level 5

8. Doesn't really follow any Star Wars movies

9. Graphics suck

10. No split-screen

11. Only two vehicles

12. Only two weapons (including the grenade)

13. The fighting is boring and tedious

14. It may as well be 2D

15. Your force power is limited

16. And it's just no fun

If you're looking for a Star Wars game for Playstation, "Star Wars Demolition" is pretty cool, and hey, they actually remembered to make that one split-screen.

If you're looking for something with exciting combat on Playstation, keep looking, I'm sure it's out there somewhere.

And finally, if you are looking to conduct an experiment on how long it takes to die of boredom, then this is the game for you.

Sorry to be the naysayer, but this game really sucks.

Blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaugh(and that's saying a lot)

Actually, that should be zero stars. This is the second worst game I've ever played (the worst being Superman 64). If you are considering buying this game, press the back button on your browser IMMEDIATELY to save yourself [money] and a LOT of grief. It is impossible to hit your enemies because you can't even face them. The graphics are choppy and looked like somebody cranked this thing out in their basement in the space of a week. On top of that, there are probably 4 or 5 sound effects in the whole game, and all of the characters sound pretty much identical. Do you like elevator music? I hope so, because this sorry excuse for a video game is LOADED with it! All in all, this distressing title is downright awful. Avoid it at all costs. So start punching that back button!

Definetly a must!

WHOA! You aren't gonna find a better two player game from Episode I. The controls take maybe twenty minutes to master and when you have two people with two unique different Jedi who are masters, this game is awesome. The levels are challenging (especially level 4) and the gameplay is really cool. It's sort of like Fighting Force except that it's Star Wars and alot better! Get it, or you'll miss out on some really good fun.

May the Force Be With You.

First off: this game rocks, not many games made after a movie turn out to be awsome, but this is another exception. Second off: Great challange, everyone has different abilites, only two people have the same colored lightsaber (Obi-Wan Kenobi and Mace Windu) Thrid off: It is a must have game. I just rented it and i decided to buy it.

Worse than Phantom Menace

You would think that a game based on jedi light saber fighting would be a guaranteed hit, but Lucas Arts missed their mark again. The fighting is similar to the first Phantom Menace game, but enough already with the jumps. Hello video game developers- you do not need jumping in a 3D game, this isn't Mario Bros. It's disappointing when you work your way through a level only to be stopped at the end trying to jump from one ledge to the next. Also the game play is lacking. I've only had the game a short time and I've had screen freezes a few times. I encountered the same problem in Phantom Menace. If you're a Star Wars fan, I guess you have to get it, but if you're choosing between the 2 titles, I would recommend Phantom Menace over Power Battles

Man, can't these LucasArts guy make any good game? For all you gamers out there who's even reading the ... I'm writing about this game: LEAVE THIS GAME AT THE STORE'S SHELF, AND NEVER, NEVER LAY HANDS ON IT. Don't make the same mistake that I did, and that was giving this game a chance. Yeah, yeah, I know you can be a Jedi, and swing a glowing stick around, but it just not worth it... There are a lot of mistakes, and errors in this game, I'm just going to name a few. Please, take it from a man who dared to beat this game three times within a year: #1. Becareful where you're jumping to. If your jumping- destination is too high, try to land your hands on the edge and later pull yourself up. Do not try to jump and land on your feet, even if you made it, the game will somehow freeze, or kill you. #2. When you're ona mission to save someone, lets say, a servant. You might want to follow them, and kill all the droids around the place where they vanished. Or else you will have to start over from the beginning. #3. Not all of your combos, and special moves works. It might work on one enemy, and totally useless on another even though you have enough " force " for it. #4. It's impossible to beat Darth Maul on the Jedi mode using Plo Koon. Yep! this is the game's biggest mistake. You can not beat Darth Maul on Jedi mode using Plo Koon because he is too slooooowwww. Darth Maul is very fast, and he attacks you instantly. Some times, it's impossible for you to get out of his comboes, and with his twin light saber, he is twice more powerful. I hope this is enough reason for you to not buy this game. I hope I convinced you enough.

MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU.

The force is strong with this one...

Jpb is THE BEST! The controls can be a pain in the butt, but it's easy to master. Yoda predicts that this game will go up,up,up! He-he-he! okay whatever. this game rocks because

1) It's fun blowing up pathetic robots (though they should be 1-hit-knock-outs- IT'S A STINKIN' LIGHTSABER! ).

2) The graphics are very good, but could use some work

3) there are secret fetures you can acsess in jedi mode

4)o.k, this is a buissness one but there's something about this game that glues you to the controller

5) you can play as as five different jedi

6) IT'S JUST FUN!

completely and utterly the worst video game ever made EVER

I am a major star wars fan and a gamer. I have liked most sw games but this one i sold for $2 and was very VERY happy. the game starts out vey interesting indeed. you are a jedi and you can kill things, which is fun. the only drawback is that the game sucks after 2 minutes. i dont think that i have ever after seeing 10 people try it (all good gamers) finish the first level. there was something we like to call the "LEAP OF FAITH" whis is in said level. put simply: you cannot do it. ever. in the world. ever. even if god himself is trying to make this game not suck.

very boring

This game is Very boring, all you do is kill the andorids in your way (which is Easy to accomplish) and then your faced with a big robot(and you think that is the end of level 1 it NOT) then you kill more andriod then your faced with a bit space ship. This game reminds me of the old Mario bros games, where you walk foward and get to the end. I was excpeting this game to be more like Spyro with hiden rooms, challanging villians and clues to figure out this game is so NOT like that!!

Also my biggest Pet peeve about this game is you can not Save it at any time. You have to complete the Whole level before it will let you save your game. After playing for 3 hours and not finishing level 1, I unfortunatly died and was NOT allowed to save my progress. I had to start ALL over from the begaining. It took me another 4 hours to finish level 1 (after starting over from the begaining 50 times) When I finally finished level 1 I was FINALLY allowed to Save my game which SUCKS. If you get tired and want to save the game and come back later you CAN'T you'll have to finish the level before you can save it.
