DISGRASE TO CLANCY, AND PLAYSTATION

I recently rented this game. I played it once and it SUCKED. The graphics remind you of an old atari game. The controls are so hard to control I practically broke my controller trying to turn a corner. Another thing, if you see a terrorist it takes you at least 6 seconds to aim at him! This has got to be the most horrible game I have every played in the 10 yrs. of my gaming life. I would rather start playing my old NES then this HORRIBLE GAME!

This game solves the flaw that you can send one man in to save the world (Syphon Filter, Metal Gear, etc.) The fact that you choose your team, their gear, their insertion points into the mission, what color gear they wear, etc. is great. If you want realism the planning part of the mission is fun. Unfortunately when the planning is over and the mission begins the trouble starts. It's awkward even moving let alone shooting a gun at a target. The worst thing is that you must normally press 2-3 buttons to do common tasks. Overall good realism and idea - but little attention to smooth gameplay like with Syphon Filter.

Ok lets get down to the facts, your a army dude trying to fight off bad guys to save some helpless hostages. It fun running around shooting peeps, i wouldnt say it's the greatest game but its great for a rainy day

In this life of Playstation 2 and Rainbow Six 3 coming out i figured it was time to get caught up as ive recently become interested in Clancy's Jack Ryan books and as a major fan of John Clark i figured it was time to track down this game and play it. I enjoy first person shooter games like Bond and the Medal of Honor series. One thing i love about Six is that there is more of a level of reality to it because nothing is more obnoxious than playing a game and having your character absorb a hundred shots to the head and hes still plugging along shooting baddies. And then you run into the "boss" baddie and use a rocket launcher and unload three clips into him before he dies. In this game if you get shot in the head your done, you shoot a baddie in the knees and his leg buckles out from underhim. if one of your team members is KIA they dont come back, and you have to wait for your team members to heal if they were wounded in battle. Yes the graphics are a little rough but it is still fun to play cause it takes more strategy than your average FPS. and yes the controls were horrible at first but in the 1st controller setting ive gotten so use to being able to sidestep around corners its become an invaluable technique for surviving in the terrorist filled world. Can't wait to go home and play even more!

This video game is awesome. The guns and gameplay are like no other video game. This game has better graphic than any game you will find out there even the ones on Xbox.

This game is very challenging and a lot of fun. It's a good game to play alone or with a buddy! If you like games that keep you on your toes... this is the one for you!

Here's the thing, the PC version is much better then PlayStation's, but that has to be expected. They took out a whole lot of strategy when transplanting it onto the PSX. However, if you enjoy 007 types of games, you'll enjoy this one. One of the redeeming qualities is the ability to choose who will be on your team and what gear they can carry. Some advice: 9 times out of 10 all you'll need is extra ammo.

This game isn't the best but its also not the worst there is a total of 13 missions in the game. Most of the missions are easy but some are just impossible. Any way this game is ok.

When I heard that Rainbow Six would come out for Playstation, I was very excited. Being a Mac user, I was insanely jealous of my friends who were playing an awesome R6 on their PCs. When I got this game, though, I was almost sickened by the complete crapiness of it.The akward control set up make a terrible FPS. The aim buttons (R1, R2 for up and down)are hard to reach for in a rush and are so sensitive that one touch can have you pumping the ceiling or floor full of lead.The selection of guns is formidable, but in combat, the only difference between the guns is between the silenced and unsilenced guns. The main flaw of this game, though is that it eliminates the wonderful strategy aspect of the PC version. Instead of mapping your teams' routes, the only strategy is choosing which of three entry points will you enter from. Taking out one of the best features of the PC version make this game one of the worst made for any platform
