What can i say! This is the BEST GAME EVER! The puzzles are so original! The monsters are cool! The story is fantastic! Finishing this game is the best feeling you will ever have! How could a game this good be so overlooked by gamers, sure this game won't wow you with fantastic graphics, but for the most immersive gaming experience ever you have to play Zelda: Links Awakening.

I play this game at least once a year and I love it!

I love this type of roll-playing game...the puzzles are challenging, the graphics are realistic...you can really get lost on the island! I have played this game (the non-color version) every year since 1995 and it is still a lot of fun!

Beautiful...and the music is great!

"Legend of Zelda:Link's Awakening" is one of the all-time winners of gameboy! Even with all the hype about Pokemon, it's hard to see why this game is passed up in favor of Pokemon. There actually IS a plot in this game (unlike Pokemon), but it's a little murky near the beginning, though soon becomes a touch disturbing, and leaves you questioning your mission as the Nightmares (bosses) reveal bits and pieces of the history of the island. The music is superb for gameboy, and the endgame combination of music and animation almost made me cry (when will "Ballad of the Wind Fish" be released on cd?). Although pokemon has more replayablity then Zelda (since Zelda isn't really an RPG, but Pokemon is), Zelda has overall better music, better plot development, better puzzles, better graphics (no long animated sequences in Pokemon!), better sprites, and an overall better story. So if you have a choice between Zelda and Pokemon, for your own sake, chose Zelda.

The best RPG for Gameboy Color

This game has wonderful cinematic scenes, the puzzles are often really brain-teaser questions, and the sound justs adds more icing on the cake. The game starts you out with nothing, a lone survivor on an island after your ship goes through a storm and gets destroyed. You must find your sword and shield. As the game progresses, the weaponry gets more advanced;the flame-rod, and the hookshot. You also get to fight bosses after each level (of which there are 8) and the game provides a lot of replay value because you can play this game as many times as you want without getting bored of the same thing. This game is GREAT!

Why does everyone like this game

It is has to many puzzle elements and the screen respawns everytime you leave making combat somewhat pointless. It is boring and the Final Fantasy Legend( 2 and 3 are best)& Adventure games are MUCH better, but are hard to find.

The Best GameBoy Game There IS, WAS, AND EVER WILL BE!

The Legend Of Zelda: Link's Awakening is a simply amazing game. There's nothing quite like it, and anybody who likes the other Zelda games will fall in love with this one. Koholint Island may not look as impressive as Final Fantasy 8, and it may indeed be a simpler game. But its a game that throws you in, and frankly, I was teary eyed at the spectacular ending. And remember, this game was uncontested as the champion of Nintendo's GameBoy PowerCharts for more than a few years, so a lot of people must agree.

Zelda DX is one of the most fun RPG's i've ever played for game boy or game boy color. It has a long, twisted, funny, story line in which you save damsles in destress and defeat monsters while tou try to escape from the island.

If you own a game boy Color you must get this game.

Nintendo took the best game from the original game boy and brought it back to life. This is just Link's Awakening with color. Nintendo added an extra dungeon and a photo shop. Once you find the photo shop the photographer will pop up in various places and snap a picture. This game is a must buy- even if you already have the original.
