We rented Mario Golf 64 not really knowing what to expect. We were pleased to find a fun filled game that is challenging, staying true to the game of golf. It is nice to have a slower paced game amid the furor of fast action shootem-up games. A Winner!

I've been playing golf sims since back-in-the-day (any body remember PGA Tour Golf for the MAC?) and I gotta say Mario Golf is one of the most addictive golf games out there. It has meets all the requirement for a good golf sim: several courses, different charactors with different strengths and weaknesses, adequate graphics (considering the limitations of the GameBoy platform)..etc. But what truly makes this game great is what I can only describe as the "Japanese Approach" to sports sims. Unlike most golf sims you cannot rip the ball 300 + yards the first time you play the game. Much like real golf, you must gain experience on both the course and practice facilites. It may seem a little frustrating as first but stick with it you'll have a great time.

Yowza! This game is Marvelous!

What do you get when you mix a full fledged, died-in-the-wool golf game, and a RPG like no other? Mario Golf, of corse! A minitue of your time to give you the gist of the game? Great. 1:Don't let those candy coated graphics fool you, there's a good 200+ game play time in this thing. I got this game for Easter, and I'm still playing it! 2:Got an N64? This cartridge is compatable with its N64 counerpart, via transfer pack! You can load your homemade characters onto the system, play as them, and send exp. points back to your gameboy! Want to show off? You can load data of you N64 progess onto GB! So your stubbon schoolmate dosen't belive you unlocked Metal Mario last night? Now you can shove it in his face and gloat about it! Yea Baby! 3:Products I recommend to go with this thing: Link Cable, (Play Vs. a friend) Mario Golf for the N64, and a Tranfer Pack. Thank You and Good Day!

I bought this game because it was on sale and after fighting over it with my husband for 4 days or so, he emerged victorious and has been playing with it every day ever since. At ages 31 and 36, we have a hard time finding Gameboy Games that can hold our attention, but I do fear he's going to get carpel tunnel syndrome soon. I just wish there were more courses available to us. Although I am trapped on the Palms course and it might take me a while to actually finish well, so we have gotten our money's worth out of this one.

This game is GREAT! The feature that uses the transfer pak is awesome! The physics of this game are very accurate, so if the drifts in the best shot u ever made, blame the programmers. Another good part is that if u win all 4 trophies on earth, u go to a secret course. But the BEST part is that it isn't too hard for beginners, and it's not easy for experts.

A must-have Game Boy Color Game

Mario Golf was one of the first games I bought for my color game boy and is by far still my favorite. It is very easy to learn and easy to play but yet also very challenging. The graphics are good for a GameBoy game, and there are many different types of games you can play. I am not much of a golf fan but love playing this game; and everyone who has ever borrowed my Game Boy ends up playing this game more than any of my other games. This is game is worth every penny!

A game that you can never put down!

Mario golf for GBC is great! You can not stop playing it! The courses are great and the opponents are challenging. You can create your own player. You can even unlock secret characters. The bad thing is when you play in a car, bus trip, or an airplane, it is very hard to hit the golf ball good. The meter is kind of hard to use. But everything else is great. This game is great for all occassions.

This game is great fun for one player. They've created a whole golf world to walk around in where you can talk to people, practice, accept challenges, and walk to the different courses. However, they don't allow you to play two player games on one gameboy. The only motivation I can see for this is that they wanted to force people to buy another copy of the game to play with a gamelink. This is a shameful ploy if true or at least a careless oversite. There is no reason that a golf game should require two gameboys for two players as both players do not need to see the screen at once. If I had known this before I bought it I would have got tiger woods golf instead. If your only interested in one player though it is a lot of fun.
