Mario Gold, The best golf game out there

When i first tried Mario Golf, i thought it would be very bad. I was dead wrong. This game is perfect. it has multiple modes of play. 1v1,Tournament,Pratice,Stroke,and RPG style. That is a first for any golf game. The RPG has mini games which help improve your skills. It is also true RPG style, including levels, stats, and challenges. This game is fun and addictive. Everyone should try it.

And I don't even like golf!

I originally tried out this game "just for the hek of it," and almost immediately got hooked. Considering it's on Gameboy the graphics are great, there are several courses to choose from, and the ability to play a full game side-by-side against a computer player is a nice feature (as opposed to just trying to beat other players scores on a list) that I haven't seen on other Gameboy golf games I've tried out. It also inlcudes includes tournament play (there's the list), and basic stroke/practice play. The game also includes an RPG mode that I haven't messed with much, but that I've read adds even more depth to the game. Overall, this is one of the only golf games I've checked out that this non-golfer really thought was FUN.

Great fun!

I bought this game to make my long commute home more tolerable. I can't believe how much I love it. It's great because you can quickly learn the basics of playing as you get the hang of it. Then, you keep playing and figuring out new ways to get better so it's never boring or too easy.

I'm an avid golfer in "real" life, and that only made it better because so much of the play and terms are accurate. It also includes a very complete glossary of terms and rules which taught me a thing or two. If only I could shoot scores like these when I really play!

I'm a 32 year old woman, and especially for adults, or older children, I think this was well worth the money.

The type of Gameboy and mario game you've never seen before

I put Mario Golf into my brothers Lime Green gmaboy color, expecting mediocrocy. I really dont like Gameboy games compared to the Playstations, and N64's and Dreamcasts etc.. Mario Golf however has amazed me. Its like you are a golfer at a country club entering tournaments and playing other challengers, and rivals. Its like the real thing. The golfing is just 1 part of this great game. Its traveling to different courses and trying to bring a good name, and gold to your own club. The main goal in this game is to win the 4 big tournaments, and meet Mario. Which I havewn't been able to do yet. Yet, I don't get aggrevated, this game isn't impossible, yet you can't win right away. You need to enter, tournaments, practice, get your shot examined, you need to compete in contests, listen to what other golfers have to say, and look for 1-up mushrooms. I play gameboy mainly in the car or on a planride, but this I will play just as much as my playstation. I hope anyone who has gameboy, will go out and buy this, you will be amazed when you see how much fun, and how realistic it really is.

Best Game Boy Game, Period!

Mario Golf for the Game Boy Color isn't just the best golf sim for the Game Boy, it's the best game I've ever played on any handheld system, ever! The replay value, even after you've found all the games secrets and met it's goals, is endless. Whether or not you're a fan of golf or golf games, no Game Boy collection is complete without Mario Golf.

Golfing, Mario, and RPG combine

This game is absolutely fantastic. With excellent graphics, a very easy learning curve, and simple play control, anyone can pick up and enjoy this game. Beyond these though, is the game play. Not only do you travel from club to club, testing your skill against people, but every match you play increases your number of experience points. At certain intervals, your level increases, allowing you to better one of your statistics. You could increase your maximum driving distance, adjust your shot height, or take care of that annoying slice you may have. Starting out with only a minimal amount of characters, you can earn more by winning championships. This game has an incredible amount of depth to it. By no means should it be overlooked.

This game has a lot of good parts. The graphics are excellent, the music is pretty good (though it does get a little annoying after a while, and the gameplay is relly good. There are plenty of "easter eggs" such as hidden power up mushrooms, and the learning curve is not too steep. The only complaint I would have is theat the last tounament is a little too hard for most people (my friend had to try 25 times probably before he beat it, and I still haven't beat it yet. This game is slightly more realistic than the N64 version, but this is not a bad thing. My final review... buy this game if you like other golf/sports games.

Mario golf is the best game for gameboy period.

this game is awesome. it is a very very addicting game. the grafics are great, gameplay out of sight, there are so many things that you can unlock but i wont tell you. the more courses you win the better it is for your drive, control and the stuff you can unlock. i highly recommend you buy this game even if u dont like golf that much.
