Oy Mario Golf the game my youngest and elder brothers play endlessly!!!This game is pretty realistic on some terms, like whether, and it has ALL the real names to things like Pars,Birdies,Albotross, birdie, and a bogey!Which as a matter of fact I never knew anything about golf till I played this game!!! And this is also pretty challanging, you can choose to get new better characters.!You can even get metal Mario which is the best play in the game! You can also play miniture golf which is kinda annoying on some of the holes, but its fun!Its mainly annoying do to the shapes of the hole area, like an 8 figure with water in the hole areas and no walls around them,oh that's good fun(sarcasm).!Some of the regular courses are pretty hard,Course one is easy, course to is pretty easy, course thre get's harder, course 4 is hard, course five is the hardest, and course six is annoying, but I don't think its the hardest one! You get to shoot from Islands of fairway to another island of fairy till you reach the island of green. If you miss the island you land it the rough...But sometimes their not ilands just a big character shape with alot of rough areas!!!Like there's a Course shaped like Princess Peach,bo-bombs,and bowzer!!!In order to get the a new course though you must through a course and get points. The less times it takes you to make a hole the more points you get! So if you like golf or even if you don't you'll love Mario Golf!!!So go rent or buy it today!!!*HOPE* this was helpfull!!!

Very Challenging!

This game has so much to it! There is never an end. The very first course, Marion Club, is easy if you have the right drive, height, etc. The second, Plam Club, is a little more challenging. This is where it gets hard. The third, Dune Club, is very challenging! You'll need a long drive with great control and meet area. You may not want to use the special club [this is a club you get after you do a certain task. A place will open up and the club maker will give you a choice. Control Club or the Distance Club. I chose the distance club because thats what was vital at that point. I thought afterwards, I should have chosen the Control Club because when you choose the Disance Club, your meet area and control is not very good. So pick whatever suits you] because you will end you hitting something or getting it in the bunker. The fourth, Links Club, is VERY hard. It has alot of heath which are packs of grass very thick and they are very hard to get out of! It took me a long time to beat this Club. So the graphics are nice, the color is nice, and the levels, scenery, etc; is nice. But there is one more challenge that awaits you. It's the.........

I love to golf but I disliked this game. It was very boring and the players drives were very short, and the computer was almost impossible to beat. I can't understand how this game got such good ratings.

it's a great game

Mario golf is a great game. You can play hours with it. The only thing that's bad about it is that the last two courses are pretty hard. But overall it's good game. Also when you're don't like golf you like this game. I think that everybody who has a gameboy color should have this game!!

A really great game! Spectacular graphics mixed with first person views while driving the ball makes this game really, really fun! The mini-games are also really fun. This game has the best graphics for any Game Boy game ever!

Best sporting game for GBC yet

I am not a golfer, however after being disappointed with many of the sports titles on GBC I decided that I had nothing to lose by buying Mario Golf. I am glad I did! Mario Golf is a great balance between reality and not so real that it is impossible to do well unless your name is Tiger. The player development gives an adventure theme to the game and the ability to challenge a friend's character through the link is the only way to settle the debate with my coworker about who has the best character and plays the best golf. Each morning as I leave for work I can't go out the front door until I have Mario Golf with me for a round or two on the bus ride to and from work!

This game ROCKS DA HOUSE!

I got Mario Golf for Christmas about a year ago, and it's cool! It incorporates all the real-life aspects of golf (well...almost, except for the golf carts and being able to move your character on the hole). I played it for a long time, accidentaly erased it (I didn't realy care, it was a pretty bad game). Then, I beat all four club tournaments. There are 4 clubs, some of which are hard to beat. It took me a month to beat the fourth one. It then finally puts the "Mario" into the game-with a Princess Peach's Castle Course (which I am currently working on)! This game does require a lot of practice on it, but once you do get good, it's really fun! The only thing is that there was another Mario Golf Game for the original Game boy, so for all you Black and White Game Boy Fans out ther, you aren't missing anything. There are also minigames, which give you exp. and sometimes which gives you strategies for playing, like if someone offers to show you how to do an approach shot. The only thing the game is lacking is aging-your character stays the same, even if you play it for 10 years! But overall, this is a goood game :)

This is an absolutely brilliant game, although I have not beaten any of the tournaments yet but I am working on them, I have owned this game since April 2000 and it is a brilliant game I have never been keen on proper golf until now. This is one of the best games for the Gameboy man. James

PS If anyone knows how I can beat the tournaments then please e-mail me at jamesfisher14@hotmail.com or jamesfisher14@yahoo.co.uk

The best Game Boy Game I have played

Mario Golf blends rpg elements with the great game of golf. You start out by creating a character then putting points into different skills. As you play courses, practice, or enter contests you gain experience and your character goes up in levels. This earns you more points to put into each skill level. The graphics are wonderful for a game boy game and the controls are simple and easy to learn. Four courses are available, each with a different theme, and tons of mini games in practice areas help change up the game play. The game is one of the best golf games I have ever played and can be very addicting. If you have a game boy and like golf at all, do yourself a favor and get this game.
