Quake 3 is just the Quakes before it with better graphics and no Levels( I love levels ). You would think they could get at least Different Guns.. Get Unreal, or watch paint dry, it better.

WITH CHARACTERS LIKE SARGE (A SERGEANT) AND KLESK(A MINIATURE GODZILLA) AND GUNS LIKE THE PLASMA GUN, AND THE PLASMA GUN'S DESCENDANT, THE BFG, YOU'LL HAVE THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE PLAYING THIS GAME! YOU COULD PICK AWSOME PLAYER MODELS, LIKE CYBORGS, ALIENS, CYBRONIC HUMANS, HUMANS, ROBOTS, AND ONE, IS A CLOWN! HOW AWSOME IS THAT!? ALSO ONE IS A HUMAN ROBOT MUTANT! (HE KNOWS TAE-KWON-DO)ALSO, MORE THAN HALF OF THE PEOPLE YOU CAN CHOSE FROM CAN DO BACKFLIPS! ALSO YOU CAN FALL 100 FEET, HAVE GRAVITY IN SPACE, AND DO OTHER COOL THINGS! Incredible Deathmatch Arena

id has outdone themselves with their latest installment in the 3D FPS (first person shooter) genre. The player animation is the smoothest I've seen. And when you play against the bots you forget that they are controled by your PC.

If you like playing deathmatch, whether it be over the internet or on a lan, this is a must have game.

Id software ought to learn how to do something different. Online deathmatching is boring. Go buy yourself something more interesting like Starsiege Tribes.

I'm a Quake fan and yes I got the game as well. But it was shocking to find out that this game is worse than previous ones. The deathmatch maps are just plain stupid, Quake2 had way better ones. And rocket jumps are pretty useless too as the maps don't have good places, the teleporters and those round Yellow jumping things have taken over. So if you got the game already just convert the old maps to be played in Quake3's engine. The charecters look good but the colors are a bit wierd in my vodoo3 3000 card. Unreal Tournament & Decent 3 is way better than this crap. Only good thing about the game is it's music & visuals...and I paid for it. Nothing else. I look forward to Quake 4, hope ID don't repeat the same mistake.

After 3 hours of playing this game my brain went into shut down mode, kinda like from staring at a wall for 3 hours. Belive me this game is just pretty, and if you like killing things mind-lessly then, by all means play this game! The Maximum IQ you can have to enjoy this game is 125. If your IQ is higher than 125, then you will not like it in most cases.

This game is made in china along with ut. But its bloody and very sick. Do not let your kids play this game. Note the M on the box means its Evil!!!

Very disapointing issue for any Doom, Quake I, II, Duke Nukem fan like I was.

The product has great (but few) graphics and I had no pleasure at all playing it.

not quite the earth-quake

Quake 2, even without the 3d card, is possibly the greatest game of all time. Until two years ago, it was turrican on the cbm Amiga, but a couple of letters - id - turned that all upside down. Secrets, skills, intelligent enemies, depth depth depth. And that's what Q3 lacks. Depth. What you get at the beginning is what you'll end up with when you're through. Perhaps you'll be a little better, but the game is too sporadic. Q2 made me lose sleep; Q3 makes me want to sleep. It's a cracker, and better than Q1, but if there's going to be a fourth, let's have two versions. One for the multiplayer freaks, and one for the insomniacs - the 'true' players.
