Excellent, but after time...

This is an unbelievacly excellent expansion pack. It is not, however a brand new game. I find when playing the sims - expansion pack or not, time rushes right by and before you know it, it's been four or five hours. The playing of the game is more or less the same, though characters can experience "the sexual act of love". Other than that, the main changes are all in build and buy mode. The build means more windows, doors, etc. etc., and buy mode includes lots of new items, like Servo (live-in maid/chef/repairman), rockets, crystal balls, genies (which can determine many things of love, loss, and cockaroaches) and many new cute pieces of furniture. Also, there are lots of excellent new skins - I mean EXCELLENT, and that is a whole new reason, for me, to buy the game. If you find the building/buying/creating part the most fun, this is going to be completely awesome for you, and if you prefer just living, then it won't be nearly as good for you, but still excellent. So my advice is to get it, although I am warning you that the polish does wear off and it plays almost the same, but play it, love it, and get on with life as Bob Newbie.

Buy this game at your own risk!!

WARNING!!! Don't buy this game unless you want to be on the computer all the time. This game is great, a lot better then the first Sims game. All of my friends want to borrow it, lately I've had to hide it from them. This expansion has a few more items such as a robot that cleans up like a maid, a bed that lets your sims "Play In Bed", and one of my favorites is a rocket launcher. There are quite a bit more objects, walls, floors, ect., then the first. And yesterday I figured out how to get unlimited neighborhoods. I also just bought The Sims House Party, and I can't wait to get The Sims Hot Date where your sims can go on a date and end up with a goodnight kiss...or more. ....

I LOVE THE SIMS!

The Sims Livin' Large is the best expansion pack ever. All the new features make the game even better. I loved The Sims, and when I noticed Livin' Large for [the money] I had to buy it. When I loaded it on I ended up playing it forever! My Dad couldn't get me off the computer. My favourite new things are the Potion Kit (I love seeing what happens to the sim), The Crystall Ball (Changes your sim's personality) and the stuff you can put on your walls. I even got this cool download off the net to make your own pictures. I put pictures of 5ive, S Club 7 etc in my sim's homes. It's fun. You should buy this. Even the vibromatic bed is cool. I like making the sims get it on. I'm 13, and it's super fun for me. Well 5 stars is what I'm giving it!

The Sims is a great game - and easy, fun way to play god. It's highly entertaining! The Livin' Large expansion pack gives you more choices for items, paints, skins, etc.

I just got House Party this last week and don't think it's as cool as Livin' Large since it's so specialized toward your Sims having Parties- which is hard to do when you are getting them jobs, etc.

A good expansion pack.

The Sims is great, and this expansion pack just makes it better. New careers, Death himself, a genie, a robot, alien abductions, a sad clown. Fantastic.

Negative points for the cockroaches though, as they are a real pain. I tend to type "move_objects on" (without quotes) in the cheat window (hold down ctrl and shift and press c) and just delete them.

Definite positive: more neighbourhoods! You can have themed neighbourhoods and the like now, and you're not going to run out of blocks for a long time (well, unless you're playing the game 24 hours a day, which, unfortunately, is very likely :)

If you have and enjoy the Sims, you'll want this.

this i a wonderful expansion pack for your sims game

Hi bought this expansion pack about a week ago.and i was hook to it. Some people have been real disoppointed in it caues it did not have very many down to earth stuff in it.but i think its a great game i mean if it did not have that stuff in it,it would not be a game and it keeps prople intrested with it i played on it for like 4or5 hours when i got it,i was playing into the night. you can act out robin hood, romeo and juliet and others. it has more funny stuff in it like you can turn into a zombie if you die are you can play for sims's life with the grim reaper. you can make potions and have a evile clone or turn into a frankastin. you can have a genie that could give you a yard full of flamingos if you ask for money. you can make a hanted castal or are a wild part house or you can make exloding gromes and use them on unexpacted guest, jobs like a hacker orslacker, and even get a vist from the tragic clown. This game is endless fun and its for everyone in the family.i give this game a 5star caues thats all they give you but i would give it a big 10. YOU HAVE TO HAVE THE SIMS GAME TO PLAY IT!. so if you dont have eihter maybe its time you did just remember if your one of thoses people who is always busy i would not get this game it takes up alot of your time caues its so much fun. BUY IT NOW! thanks :)

My favorite feature of this expansion pack and the one that makes it a "must have" is the addition of the four new neighborhoods. There's also the ability to add up to 99 new neighborhoods! Other pluses are new objects which allow for new interactions between characters. There are more career tracks and new decorations that also make this CD a must have for any serious Sim lover.

it's ok, well...

After getting The Sims, I guess I had higher expectations for Livin' Large. The Opening Wav. File left much to be desired, the roaches are out of control (I'm not sure if the patch they give you helped), and most themed wallpaper and windows were very specific (like the medieval theme). One of the pluses, though, were the new professions and the new objects (ah, the vibrating bed). But if you were just looking for more window designs and wallpaper, the simple stuff, just download them online.
