Will NOT run and a MODERN/CURRENT system.

This is one of the best and most influential games of all times. There is only one problem: it won't run on a current system.
First it didn't like my Video Cards; gForce 8800s
It can NOT adjust to my controller at all. If you use a controller that has an analogue system (like the PS1/ps2 controllers) it will not be able to accept proper commands. There is no way to invert or reverse the X/Y axis. So up is left and right is down. It's imposable to get used to doing everything in the wrong order. Half my buttons don't work even though the settings options can read them.
The game refuses to recognize my sound card (X-Fi Pro) for what it is, giving me only bare mono sound. It chokes constantly crashing for no reason and freezing the system even though I have 8Gb of ram.
Works alright on my old system, but that defeats the premise of a gaming machine.

how is it.....

I am very curious how this game has been available for a review,
as i understand it there are still three weeks till this title is
released.Even on the games homepage and the links it leads to,not one have a 'scoop' on how it plays,i understand that demand for this game will be emense,i myself will be buying it,not from yourselves but from someone who at least can be honest about the advertisements and their reviews.

'to third parties or objectionable 'this is quoted in the conditions of use,out of curiousity, does this mean if someone give a bad review of a game, that this will not be posted?

This is why I wanted a PS2

I love this game but the graphics are pretty weak and the control of vehicles in the game are terrible. The boat is nearly immpossible to control. I guess I need to buy a PS2 style controller to enjoy it even more. More over the game continuously shuts down as I cross bridges back into vice city and surrounding areas, "I have no idea why" and you can see a lot of gliches. As long as they had before the release date I would have thought they would have corrected these for the PC. The game however is fun with the 80s tracks and it is a game you can play for hours at a time. A great buy, but have a good computer and plenty of ram.

Basically, this game is the best. It has action, for the testosterone pumped up teenage boys. That's its main feature. Sure, it's controversial. Oh, well. The storyline is a work of genius. Better than GTA3, which is no mean feat. I'd say more, but I gotta go to the bathroom.

Big Disappointement.

In my opinion, this game is overrated. Some of my friends told me this game is excellent, but when I finally bought it for PC I was quite disappointed. The graphics are excellent, very detailed. The con about the graphics are the people. They all look the similar to each other. They really need to work on it. People are too rough around the edges. It looks so fake when you make Tommy Vercetti run. And when you see cops and regular people run, it's just too unrealistic. Same things with cars. They repeat after a while plus when they try to speed off, it's just too fast and too unrealistic.
When you get a hooker you can hear and see the car moving, but when you change the view angle you can see the people just sitting. It would be better if they showed some sort of movement.
Plus I don't like the idea of shooting the hooker after sex or going on killing spree and beating people into a bloody pulp.

Yet, I found this game to be pretty addictive.

Great game for older audiences to appreciate

This is one ares-whopping of a ride for a game. Not only does the game have a dynamic storyline but it gives the player so much freedom, freedom to do almost whatever the player wants. And it is because of this great freedom that the game has so much replayability. You may one day decide to start a new game and accomplish the mission a different way, or enter in some cheat codes and slash the enemies with your katana. Given the endless possibilities, it makes this game great.

However, I have noticed that smaller kids tend not to appreciate games such as this (of course this game is intended for older kids anyway) The blood and violence may not keep them away for the game, but rather is the amount of freedom the gamer has over the situation. For younger kids, they like games that follow a specific sets of directions that you must accomplish. Also, some of the 80s stuff younger kids won't be able to appreciate because they didn't live through that era. Also, the sexual content should be kept off younger kids.

Overall, this is a great game, and I had plenty of fun playing it. However, to fully appreciate the game, you have to be pretty mature (like the rating suggests ;)). A 11-year-old may be perplexed by the fact that two people jumped into a car and it started to to rock back and forth >)

This game is just, just so awesome because it appeals to my obsession, lighting things on fire. Yes, The new arsenal of weapons (which is a LEAP over #3) makes this game just so amazingly addicting. Yeah, so ya hear people dying, and blood flows like in Mortal Kombat, but what makes this game so "rad" is that it let's the truly disturbed gamers, like myself, to act out our inner most desires. For example, I come home in a bad mood, load up the game, run over a few people, light some cars on fire, blow stuff up with the Apache helecopter, I feel right as rain. I could leap for joy. For those who think, "Yeah, but is it good for little 8 year old Timmy?" The answer to that is: NO! YOU HEAR ME? NO! This game is exteamly graphic and violent which is why it is labled 17+. I am not quite there yet, but I have been disturbed for a while now so do NOT give it to young children or let them even be in the same room. But other than that. KICK ASS!

Yours Truely,
