Simply the BEST game ever

This is probably one of the best games ever. The theatracal feel to the game is amazing. The graphics in a all of the cut-scenes are just probably some of the best seen on the PS2. The story is extremely thought-provoking in every way, as if you thought there were other things happening in the backround but unfourtently didn't tell you and made you want to find out about it. The voice-acting is great but of course so are the other sqaure-soft/enix games. I think this was probably the best mix between the squre/disney characters because of how well they flowed together. There are a few problems with the aiming system that don't allow you to aim right but it doesn't really get in the way during combat. This is a definate pick-up for any gamer who loves RPG elements, action elements, beat'em up elements, and adventure elements in there game. To make it simple its AMAZING!!

If you think this game is too childish for you think again. I was given this game as a gift, and I thought, "What the hey, I guess I will give it a try." Little did I know that I would "give it a try" many times after that. With beloved Disney and SquareSoft characters alike I can sum this game up into one word: Masterpiece. This is to video games what the Mona Lisa is to paintings. What Shakespeare is to writers. What King Kong is to primates. This game will change the way you think. With real-time combat and a huge aresenal of weapons for yourself and some others who join you, this game is a must have. The storyline and graphics are on par with the fun you get out of playing this game. And believe me despite what others say, this game is spectacular.

This game is sooo much fun. If you love Disney and Final Fantasy you would love this game. It's about a boy named Sora and he lives on an island called Destiny Islands with his parents and friends like Riku, Kairi, Tidus, Wakka, and Selphie. Him and Riku and Kairi want to see other worlds so they build a raft to leave the next morning. But, there was a storm and the raft got destroyed in the rain so Sora goes outside to save it but he sees these creatures named the Heartless. He runs away and finds a weapon called the Keyblade and kills all the Heartless and gets sucked up into this vortex thing and fights an enormous creature. He somehow ends up in a town called Traverse Town and meets people like Leon, Yuffie, Cid, Aerith, Donald, and Goofy. Donald and Goofy end up on your team and you fight a soldier dude in the third corridor and win. Donald and Goofy take you to other worlds in the Gummi ShipTM. You visit places like Alice and Wonderland, Hercules, Tarzan, Aladdin, Halloween Town, Monstro, The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, and Hollow Bastion. Here's a list of the worlds and who you meet and fight.

Alice and Wonderland:
No one on your team (besides Donald and Goofy)

Meet Alice, Queen of Hearts, White Rabbit, Chesire Cat, The Queen's Cards.

It's difficult to express what this game is like. It's just weird and surreal playing an RPG/action with Disney charachers. Jack Skellington shows up! It's just... look, just buy the darn thing!

Story: 100/10 This is the most original storyline ever! I cried at the end! I love the whole darkness and light thing!!!

Characters: 100/10 The characters are great, especially the all new Kingdom Hearts characters! My faves are Ansem(he's hot), Riku(he's hot), and Sora! All the characters are so real! And to all those people who don't like this game cuz of Disney characters, you can kiss my a**;).

Graphics:100/10 I love the cameo graphics, the facial expressions are so cute! ^_^

Music: 100,000,000/10 OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Simple and clean is my # 1 favorite song! I love Utada Hikaru!!!

Voice Actors: 100/10 They did a great job, I love all of them!

Clothes: 100/10 I just had to say, all the costumes were really cool! 'Specially Ansem's^_^.

All-in-All: I LOVE THIS GAME!!! You better buy it! And guys, just cuz I'm a girl and I loved this game, don't think it's girly, my brother luvs this game too( he is 15) And remember everyone, " You are the one who will open th door..." ^_^

Kingdom Hearts is one of those ideas that many gamers question why? For one thing you ae merging Final Fantasy with Disney, two very opposite entities with one thing in common, the ability to tell a story and do it well (although both are on a slight slide). This combination however is brilliant. We have inside a very deep game with a story that is disney style (as in good feature films such as Beuty and the BEast, Aladdin, and Tarzan).

The story revolves around Sora, a young boy who lives on an island. His best friends are Riku and KAri. Also on the island are Selphi, Tidus, and Wakka. They are a group of friends who enjoy life. But when the mysteriouse HEartless attacks the island Sora becoems the Key MAster. He later teams up with Donald and Goofey to search for King Mickey, Sora's friends, and the Princess's.

The graphics are nothing short of Spectacular. The music is very well done, and the story is amazing. The combat system is very well concieved as well. YOu have full control at all times and it's like an action RPG. THis game reminded me after a short while of another underrated square game, Brave Fencer Musashi.

Over all many will agree with me by saying that this is nothing short of spectacular. As for the one guy who stated that this will turn off die hard RPG fans, let me say this. I have played Dragon Warrior Series, Secret of Mana, and all the Final Fantasies, I have played Might and Magic, Zelda, Wizardy, and numerosue other titles on the PS1. But this is the best RPG I have played in the past 3 years, the last tiem I had this much fun with an RPG was when I first got Final Fantasy 7. A true gamer does not discriminate because of what it is but gives it poor review if it is truely a piece of garbage (Grand Theft Auto 2).Square created magic once again, and I hope it stays that way.

Hey I'm 12 and I love Kingdom Hearts... I am on the End of the World level and it is so much fun! I cant see why some people would say its for babies come on this is the best role playing game ever! You should really buy or rent it, I am very hard to please when it comes to games and this one, this one rocked!

What I am going to say has already been said by lots of people who have written reviews here but its so true it bears repeating... My first thought when I heard of this game was absoulute horror. Disney and Square?!?!? What could they possibly have in common... But I kept hearing good things about the game and had to check it out.. This game is pretty close to perfection the graphics and music are beautiful, the plot is awesome, the gameplay is fairly simplistic yet challenging at the same time.. There are only two minor problems with this game #1 The gummi ship levels they just are silly and graphically bad #2 The Camera control is a bit off( Thats true with most 3d games now a days..) Other than that though this game is great with excellent casting done for the voices of all of the characters.......

Kingdom Hearts is one of my favorite games now! It's got the leveling up that everyone likes (well, almost everyone), and they fixed the battle system: Instead of having that annoying turn-based battle, it's like Zelda. You dodge and deflect the attacks.

The Disney/Square blend is superb. You get your favorite Final Fantasy characters from 7,8, and 10. Although you only get Disney characters as your party members, the Final Fantasy one's end up being secret bosses, which is perfect.

Maybe I'm just soft, but I thought the Disney element was the best part. Everything followed the plots in the movies, and I always got sentimental when I met up with my favorite Disney characters.

In short, it's square's best game yet! If you don't already own it, then what are you waiting for?!? It's an game you won't want to miss out on.

The Meeting of Two Magical Worlds

I'll be honest from the start...I love everything Disney. I was just introduced to the Final Fantasy world with FFX for the PS2. I got hooked. When I first saw the pics of Kingdom Hearts I freaked. All it took was one picture with Maleficent and Jafar together and I was dying with excitement. Now that I own the game and have played about half way through it, I feel I can actually share my thoughts. The game is really great. There are a few moments where you actually get lost in the magic of it all, but through it all you maintain the cutting edge heart-pounding RPG feeling gamers have come to love in the Final Fantasy franchise. Some parts can be tedious. For instance, running around hacking up the heartless with your keyblade is great, but flying around in your Gummi ship is boring as hell. This isn't Cid;s ship from FFX. On the whole, I like the game's fighting idea because it is more like Zelda. Turn-based fighting is cool and I would actually love to see what special moves Tarzan or Aladdin could do, but the real-time fighting works with this game. The Heartless keep on coming. One of the greatest parts of the game is the all-star cast that do the voiceovers. Many people may not recognize a lot of the voices, but for a Disney nut, I know that a lot are the original voices. It's really cool. For anyone who loves RPGs, you must get this game. Maybe there will even be a sequel that will tackle some of the other great movies.
