Ratchat and Clank is a great adventure game. You get to buy a new weapons, go collect bolts. I think is a great game for everyone. it is worth it to buy it for 19.99 dollars!

One of the Best PS2 games with only minor setbacks.

I decided to rent something some time before my previous Christmas in order to shake off the incredible excitement and I made a fantastic choice.

Of course I only knew about the game by watching a commercial about it and I thought it looked awesome and I was very right about it. Simply put the best platformer of the PS2,not just that,one of the best platformers of all time!(hope those platforming fans who got the Gamecube instead of the PS2 hoping for a good platformer aren't dissapointed by this)
Let me just tell you what this amazing platformer and third-person shooter got right,fun platforming,some pretty good graphic,good and not to mention hilarious storyline and of course some good old fashioned weapon-blasting fun.

Now let me tell the only problems of this game that are only noticable by playing the sequel,bit too easy,not very good enemy intelligence,you don't have much health in this game and possibly the only big setbacks are:if some weapon in this game isn't very useful then you just plain don't use it and since enemys aren't too hard to defeat you can just whack them with your main weapon throughout the majority of the game.

So if you like platformers or third-person shooters and of course have a PS2 then check this game out.

Cant wait to play the sequel.

I had taken a break from this genre for a long time becuase I was getting tired of the disappointment from games of the likes. I decided to take a break from FPS and take a chance on this title. WOW!!! Was I pleasently surprised. Not since Crash Bandicoot have I enjoyed a game of this nature... and lets face it.... this game is Crash Bandicoot with Firearms. Great lighthearted humor.... Great variety in maps.... Great variety in weapons.... Great variety in enemies.... Great Fun!!!! Some people have stated that the game is a little too easy... not so. It is approxamatly 18 hours long (double that if you want all the upgrades to the weapons) and I didnt find myself feeling stupid becuase I didnt know where to go next or how to solve incredibly hard puzzles like such games as the new mario's, blinx, and starfox would have you doing. This game was challenging enough to keep me interested, but not so challenging that I got frustrated. If you like this style game.... but are tired of all the ill fated attempts to make this genra fun again.... be prepared to be very surprised with RATCHET AND CLANK. I highly recommend it to anyone who misses CRASH. Now... Im off to buy the sequel.

This game is awesome!!!It has a good villain story,unlike taking over the world.(That would be to cheesy)It has really interactive background.It takes brains,though.It took me a while to find out that on the space station stage,well,guys will have invincible glass with a tiny slit to fit a gun through.Later on,they will be up against walls with no doorway.I found that there are teeny-weeny holes on the other side to shoot through.I give it an A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++!!!!!

Ratchet and Clank is a very fun and exciting platformer. If you're a platform fan, this game will amaze. If you're not a platform fan, this game will amaze you. It is so much fun and so unique because of all of the different worlds interacting with eachother and how you can use a variety of different weapons. It is so cool because although boss battles and puzzles are at times a treat, some games over use it. However, Ratchet and Clank keeps it limited. There is not one bad thing I can say about this game. Graphics are very nice, cut scenes have beautiful voice acting, stryline is understandable and interesting, and the most important: the game play rocks. This is a must get game for fans and non-fans of the genre alike.

Given the huge number of other reviews on this site already singing the praises of R&C, this one is probably a little redundant, but just to add my two cents anyway...

* The production values in this game are simply the best I've ever seen in any PS2 game. The controls, the level design, the story, the progession, the graphics, the voice acting, the cutscenes and the animation are without equal. 11/10!

* Even if you've never considered yourself a platformer fan, you owe it to yourself to check this one out. This game is really a giant leap forward from collect-a-thons like Jak and Daxter, with much more emphasis on combat and RPG-like acquisition of zany gadgets and weapons to aid you in this goal.

* Best of all: the game has fantastic HUMOR that will appeal to adults and kids alike.

* The only problem with this game is that eventually you have to finish it... Although even then there's sufficient depth to merit a second play through (something I've never done with any other game). Roll on the sequel...

I loved this game beacause it has so many gadgets. It is so fun! great for 8+ years old. It has got a great plot with so many levels. its not to diffult yet not to easy. GREAT GAME A MUST HAVE!

This game is so cool. Everyone always wants to play it so it is hard to get a chance. I got this game about 2 months ago and play it almost everyday. If you liked Sonic(old),Super Mario(old),or Jak & Dexter(newer)...you will love this game. I highly recommend it to anyone in any age group. There is no blood or humans in this game, just aliens and animals so it is good even for the little guys. My whole household plays it and we are in all different age groups.

My little sister recieved this game as a birthday present. She let me play it and I was hooked. With amazing graphics, and addicting gameplay, you won't be able to put the controler down. I brought this my friends house, and before I new it he went down and bought his own copy. Very addicting game. For gamers of every age. The only flaw is the replay value. It's not nearly as fun the 2nd time around. But don't get me wrong, this game IS WORTH EVERY PENNY.

... Anyway, now that that's over with, now it's time to explain ... why this game is a 5 star game.
With plenty of weapons and gadgets to purchase or upgrade, and over 20 new worlds, this will keep you busy for a long time.
I found that every time I play this game, I get in @ least 5 hours. So far, my favorite weapon is the Devastator.
Here's the basic plotline.
Chairman Drek says that his planet is becoming polluted.
His solution: he wants to create a new planet based on the componentary compartments of the others.
You start out as Ratchet, and you meet Clank, who teams up w/ you to stop all the mayhem.
This game is so good, I want to play it every waking minute. Unfortunately, I have to go to school and work.
Bottom line is this: Ratchet and Clank is one of the best games PS2 has made yet.
