AWESOME!!!

If you like Playing Multiplayer this is the best Game ever made!! Well worth the Wait!! Servers will be up in a week or 2 but alot of people are hosting them to Test. AWESOMEEEE!!!!! The deaths of soldiers are so realistic it puts CoD2 to shame. The graphics are out of this world, just make sure you have a good CPU to play, with a great Video card. This game is the MOHAA on Steroids and will be around for years to come.

Short, scripted and not much replay value

Could have been great. The visuals are very nice. The AI is pretty decent too. I completed the game on the hardest setting in 6 hours. There are only 6 levels. The multiplayer value has yet to be proven and with better games like COD 4 and another Halo, FEAR and Unreal coming...your money is definitely better spent else where.

Beware pre-ordering from Amazon

I tried the demo while I waited the full PC Medal of Honor:Airborne PCgame I Pre-Ordered from Amazon. Demo was good I found online but I held off final thoughts until THE game arrived. I could not wait as this franchise has not issued an new game to MOH in years!

What did Amazon send me? An empty Game Demo Box with a CD for some tired old game not related to the MOH franchise!!

An empty box!!!!!!!!! Amazon sent me a box without the game!

No Medal of Honor:Airborne for PC. Now I have to wait for two weeks or more to, hopefully, get the full game per their refund standards.

I know Amazon will make the credit and all but they need to set up the QC process better. Imagine if I had bought an iPhone only to get an empty box to be filled in at a later date? Come on, I preordered so I would be one of the first with the game and early ones online and now they took that away from me.

I am so disappointed. Hoepfully, the replacement will be here soon even though Amazon charged me a long time ago for the game.

Even with the game, if it gets here, I will still feel 'shorted' by the Amazon experience. Why don't they just Fed-X the replacment game now? Trust me, I already sent it back to the post office minutes after getting an empty game box.

Step up Amazon, do something better to enrich a customer experinece that so far is negative. Fed X the replacement.

life should not be this difficult for a game

I am currently in the process of downloading any EA updates. Unfortunately, like most of the world, I have dial-up, as DSL is still not economically viable for my area.

OK, after 10 min, I see EA does not have any downloads for my extremely choppy gameplay (Windows XP, 3Ghz, 1 GB RAM, 80 GB free hard drive, ATI Radeon X1300 Pro, 16x (or higher- I will not bother to look it up) DVD.
All specified requirements for this game. I now see it requires a Pixel Shrader 3.0 support video. Man, that's BS, if that is the problem.

I do not understand why EA products are so finicky, and do not run on a computer I specified 9 months ago to play games. Buy Call of Duty, any version. Activision knows how to do it properly. EA is just a pain in the a.....

And is currently a waste of money for me. Anyone want to buy my copy for $[...]? ($[...] savings)

It was fun... but the AI kinda ruined it for me.

Over all i am having fun with the game, but the AI kinda ticked me off. I have seen alot of the AI hiding in plain veiw... by that meen on a side of a sand bag wall that fully exposed them to me, standing out in the open to shoot at me. when they were behind cover, they ran back and forth along the same route over and over, would stick there head up long enough for a head shot with the pistol.

but over all i do think thins game had alot to offer, the free roaming levels are sweet.

Have we not learned anything?

Sorry to rant but I hope this is a helpful rant. Have we not learned anything from the past? I wont buy EA games anymore because they simply don't care about what they put into a game anymore, all they care about is pumping out as many games as they can so they can make a quick buck and its seems to have worked. Now I've enjoyed past MOH games but when Call of Duty came out I stopped playing them. I decided to give them another shot and I bought MOH Pacific Assault. I was very upset with it so then I thought well maybe they got it right with Airborne but then I remember about past EA games I bought.

I have EA NHL 07 and I was also kinda disappointed with it. The game is fun but lacks some of the basic things like when I score a goal you can hear crowd goes nuts but the people in the background do nothing and it kinda takes away some of the fun. The people who bought this game were screaming on the forums for updates and actually came up with some great ideas but EA doesn't care they were working on and came out with NHL 08.

EA could care less about the quality of the games they come out with. Now I haven't played Airborne but reading other peoples reviews tells me the same old crap is still happening and I advise you to stop wasting your money on EA games.

Thank you

Good Game on Drugs

The Good:

AI is excellent.
Great graphics, especially the Physics Engine for the grenade blasts...you have to see these...AWESOME>
I enjoyed jumping out of the planes and landing wherever i pleased.
Great combat and general "feel" of the game.

The Bad:

The game gets extremely difficult at certain times. almost impossible.
No save game. You have to wait for the "check point". this sucks when you have busted your a*s for an extended period and then get whacked at the last minute...start all over!

You drive or pilot NO vehicles.

The game DOES NOT realistically recreate WWII battles at all.

The Ugly:

The Super Nazis on the last 2 missions made me laugh. Where did they come from? So stupid. A disgrace to the original MOH.

Overall, a fun game and I recommend it.

Easily Best Single Player FPS I have played since Doom/Darkforces

Games I've played - RTCW, HL, Doom series, Darkforces, ET Quake Wars, Quake Series, and on and on.

This game is amazing not just for its gfx or story (although those are good). This game is the first in a long time to have actually great first person play! The actual game play and kills and AI are so satisfying that they remind me of that feeling of running around in doom with a shotgun decades ago! [btw, if you become very very good at this game, you can run around with the shotgun and be godlike with similar satisfaction].

The guns, sounds, and the way the computer plays you are very very good. You will notice that the enemy won't just pop into view if you wait for them like most games - they act very real, as well as having some great facial expressions.

Its amazing to me that this game got low reviews, but i chalk that up to games these days being rated on both multiplayer and singleplayer - i am an avid MP player in other games, but this game is a gem to me because of the SP portion and is worth the 50$ for that satisfaction alone (although now its cheaper)

Thanks to whoever developed this for giving me back that great FPS satisfaction that i've craved since doom I.

Just 2 Cons I have had.

1) game is short. However, the quality put into it and the research make it worth it (very replayable as well)

2) one issue dealing with binding zoom to the mousewheel to work, otherwise trouble free.

Can you hit me now? Good! oh....wait.

MoHA was so close to being good. A shoddy hit detection/shooting model really bring this title down. Also npcs move in an unreal tournament type fashion(instantaneus acceleration). If these two issues were polished then man this would have been a great game!

A definite Core 2 Duo game

There are actually 2 games I like in the Metal of Honor series and this is one of them. I reviewed this game last Summer when I first got it. Love the game but it has a few short comings...The save game system is done by checkpoints which doesn't allow for save game exploit. Not a deal breaker for me but a pain if you get a phone call in the middle of a sub mission, I just hit escape which gives you a drop menu. The game is way to short for a single player fps, however, as an intro to the online game it is adequate.
My P-4 with an over clocked Nvidia 6800 xt and 2 gig of memory running dual channel with an 800mhz fsb can't pull the load adequately, My Core 2 duo with an Nvidia 7900 GS over clocked to 525mhz , 4 gig of memory running dual channel on a 1066mhz fsb can get near max settings but is still a little choppy during heavy combat. That being said.. I just love this game!! The action is hot and fast, it forces you to use cover and good tactical play even though your squad mates tend to bunch up a little and run in front of your gun muzzle now and again the play is still pretty good and being able to decide where I enter the battle field from above is a big plus... all in all it's "A definite Core 2 Duo game".
