I thought this game looked fun from when i saw the add on TV, but when i played it I was blown away. The story is very entertaining and origianl. The chracters each have their own distinct personality, and that adds so much depth to the game. I think the best thing about the game is that when you are playing it you really feel like you are doing all this stuff and being really sneaky. true it is possible to beat the game in about a day, but it will take like a week to get all the special stuff. (i really like the level comentary) I really hope they make a Sly Cooper 2, cuz the first one is just awsome!!!

sly cooper is a well put toghether game.It is good for the kids.sly is a master theif with one goal,evange his father and get back the thievius raccoons. I highly recomend this game.

sly cooper is the beast game I seen in a long time for the family.
I bought the game for a friend, played it and when out and got me a copy.
the game is fun but is not that long. I would recommend buying it.

This is the first game in the Sly Cooper series, and even though it was released in 2002 I have just recently had the chance to play it. Better late than never, right? Anyhow, it is a great game all-around with not too much I can say about it that is negative. You are Sly Cooper, who comes from a long, proud line of professional thief raccoons. The basis of the game is this: the Thievious Raccoonus, which contains all of the secrets of the Cooper family, has been stolen. It has been split up among The Fiendish Five, all adversaries of the Cooper family. Sly, with the help of his friends Murry and Bentley, must defeat the Fiendish Five and reclaim the Thievious Raccoonus.

As someone who plays a lot of time-consuming RPGs, I found this game to be a great light-hearted alternative to the norm. The graphics (done in cel-shading) are absolutely gorgeous. The controls are excellent as well with fluid movement. As you progress through the game Sly will learn super sneaky moves to help him progress to the next area. Each area has a certain number of clues you can collect, which if you find them all will allow you to open safes which will increase the moves in Sly's arsenal. These aren't essential to beating the game but are fun to attempt anyway. I actually beat the game without finding them all (finished at 75% in about 6 hours).

About the only bad I could say about this game is that you will lose a life if you are hit once (unless you are holding a lucky charm) and this is aggravating at some areas in the game. The boss battles are a little too easy as well. That's okay though, this is a great game. Others have said the next two are even better but I have yet to play those. If you own a PS2, you will most likely find that this is a fun game, albeit a little on the short side. I really think it is a PS2 must-have, and I recommend that you play it.

Sly Cooper is a game that could have easily escaped all notice- at first glance it probably looked too cartoonish to some older gamers, and the game play may have turned out to be a bit difficult for some kids. The game evidently took off though, and its success is certainly deserved, as its a very entertaining gaming experience. The gameplay is basically "linear" - you run straight through the missions without a lot of side missions - but the graphics are so impressive it seems a bit more complex. The game looks great, and gameplay is challenging without being maddeningly difficult (with the possible exception of finding some of the bottles). Overall, this game is well worth checking out, along with its more complex sequel.

Sly Cooper is a sneaky raccoon who is trying to steal back his family's book, Thievious Raccoonous. He has to go through dangerous challenges to get back his family's book. He is in love with Inspector Fox. She is a fox who is after Sly Cooper. Sly Cooper is a fun game. I enjoyed playing it.

I got this game for Christmas a few years ago, it took me a week and a half to beat. It is a very neat little game, it looks something like a cartoon (I love that). Story runs smoothly, gameplay fun, and I just love Sly. I still play it often, it is a very fun little game.

Fun, for the whole family.

We are PS2 fans with 2 girls age 5 and 7. Had our PS2 3 years and love Jak and Ratchet. Although both of these are still too hard for the youngest. Our 7 year old is pretty good at the controls now and will happily play for the younger to watch. They both love the cartoon style of Sly and it was challenging enought without being too hard to keep their interest. Dad can play easily, and it's still fun for mom. We're looking forward to the sequel. There's not too many playable games that don't involve tons of violent moves for girls that dad and mom like to play too. Sly wins for our family.

Before I got this game I was'nt interested,but man was I wrong!!!This game totally rocks!,you play as Sly Cooper and you can get special powers like,turning the game in slomotion and lots of other powers.But I did'nt find the game,My friend did.So thanks to him I have lots of fun playing Sly Cooper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Words cannot describe and intricate and innovative Sly Cooper and the Theivius Racconus is. Released in the last quarter of 2002(a great year for games) Sly brought a lot of freshness to the once stale platforming genre.

The game itself seems very complex at times,but you get a feel right away and there is tons of things to do. In addition to the little mini-games strewn about,you go through levels and uncover pages from Sly's family book of theiving that was stolen from his family at a young age. Sly's pals,Bentley and Murray,aid you in your quests as well,sometimes involving themselves in the action.

Even though,retail-wise,the game wasn't a roaring success,this game still is one of my most treasured in my Playstation 2 gaming collection,and one you will gladly purchase for your own gaming collection.
