this game is da bomb its realy a better change than the last one for instance now you can go on the streets.Also now you can only swing on nearby things not just zipping your webs up into thin air but you can do it on anything even a passing by hellicopter.You also meet a old freinds shocker,electro,and the biggest loser of them all...mysterio.now you also have to missions for civilions like deliver pizzas,choffuer people around like in crazy taxi.so ya thats my reveiw.

this game has great graphics and game play. I bought this game after i saw the movie because iknew it would be off the hook. As a gamer I advice you buy this , if your a fan buy it.

to confirm any speculations this game has 4 villians. thats right four. I beat this game yesterday 7/3 and i am amazed by how short it is. The villians are ( in order of appearance ) rhino, mysterio, shocker, dock ock. There is no lizard, electro or sandman as some of you might think. This game goes fast. You can easily beat it in 3 days. There are very good graphics but IT IS TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SHORT. the missions can be fun but the dock ock battles are just annoying. Dont buy this game now. Wait a few months so it goes down 10 bucks. I LOVE SPIDERMAN dont get me wrong here. If you have played it you know that there are "hero missions". Normally you have to get about 3 or 5 thousand. that normally takes about 1 hour and a half. On the last level you have to get 50,000. Thats right 50,000. To get threw this fast go see robbie at the daily bugle and the jobs he gives you helps a ton. Mary Jane and harry osborn have about two lines in this game. Altough everyone says this game is so fun and whatever, i am here o tell you that if i were you i would deffinetl rent this first. I cant explain how mad I am, for you to understand this try playing it for 15 hours then write your own review.

If anyone is reading lots of reviews to decide if they should buy the game don't listen to the people that say ooo i bought this for my son and it freezes and blah blah blah it is just their crappy old system if it doesn't work. But anyways that just ticked me off a little bit. SM2 is a pretty cool game, but like a reviewer said that if you play it for 15 hours then it will get boring. I totally agree, but when you think about who actually has time to sit down and play video games for hours and hours. Anyway in my opinion I think you should buy the game or at least rent it because it is an awesome game.

Usually the sequel to a game is similar and redundant, but it is not the case in this game. In the last game you had to follow the storyline immediately, which is normal with this type of game. Spiderman 2 goes a step further, you are allowed to veer from the storyline and fight crime in the streets on NY and then go on with each chapter when you feel like finishing the previous one. If you liked the movie and liked the previous game you will Spiderman 2

Man i cant say enough about how this game is way better than the first one. Guess what? You dont die when you go down to the street anymore!!! explore. This game is the best especially when you jump off really high buildings such as the empire state building. it's just sweet. Why is it rated T? It's no different than the other game. There's no blood, no cusses, no bad stuff. Just like the first where you punch people. Simple as that. Great game. It lets YOU be be the guy in the red and blue tights.

This is VERY much better than the PC version, which I played before this PS2 version. In this version, you get to go ANYWHERE!!! ANYWHERE, ANYWHERE, ANYWHERE!!!!! Some of the famous places I went to were: Central Park, The Empire State Buildng, and The Brooklyn Bridge, and I'm working on getting to Lady Liberty!!! I recomend the game!!!

What is wrong with the people who hate this game. I mean listen to D.J. Ryan complain about no subtitles, so he stupidly decideds to give it 1 star. Screw Him! Now, The Controls for this game are great and easy to master.

Next the graphics. Everybodys complaing because the civilians lips dont move. WHO GIVES A CRAP! Spidey and the bosses look awesome, so why complain?

Next, The game play. Its totally awsome and the levels are really cool. I think everybody should like this game, but all the pussys dont.

Next, its overall fun and awesome considering you can go anywhere when you beat the game, your swinging powers are awesome, you can do mid air tricks, the combos are totally awesome. Still not convinced to play this game? Heres the pros and cons.

A big improvement from the first

First let me point out the things I don't like about this game.

- The map sucks. It won't let you scroll around the whole city unless you zoom all the way out. But then you can't see the icons or anything.

- Lack of extra features. In the last couple Spiderman games you could unlock different costumes, comic book covers, replay missions, play as different characters, ect. You don't find too much of that in this one. Maybe they're waiting for the 3rd one to do all that good stuff, but it was kind of a let down.

- Glitches. There's been a few times the game has froze at the start of a mission or a building will appear out of thin air as you're about to swing through empty space. Not cool.

Other then that this is one of the best games I've ever played. Even after you beet the story (which isn't very long) there's endless side missions and challenges to do. Which are a lot more fun anyway. You get a lot of different combo moves to fight the bad guys with so it doesn't get boring. A lot of the time I'll find myself just swinging around doing tricks. Which is one of the best things about the game imo.

If you're a big spidey fan like myself you'll eat this game up. If not, then a rental should do.

I wuz havin sooo much fun with dis amazin game. Swingin from web 2 web, all day long. Wun day i literally culdent put da controlla down, i skipped a few meals and wuz hungry but dont worry i had a huge dezert. anyway, i luved this game. That was, until i played it soooo much i went a lil bonkerz! Wun day after playing idt fo 11 hourz straight i went right to party city, bought me a tite kool spider man costume, gathered up spider webs around my house, took a ladded climbed onto it on my roof and then just tried to jump off to my nieghborz roof just like spider man. Needlezz to say, i missed, and broke more den a few bonez, and it wuz bloody and u kno wut else happend. while dis game is relly fun, itll make u go nutz like i did. Now i cant play cuz my handz, legz, and other bonez and brokken in castz. hurtz and people make fun of me, when i got around da streetz people say "look derz dat nut who thought he was spider man! Spider sense tingling, its an idiot! Throw applez at him!" Needlezz to say im looked at like a fool now. 5 fo fun fo show, but 1 overall cuz im hated an loved for the wrong reazonz now. Thanx alot spidey!
