This game is action packed. It's just like the movie. I loved it because in the first one you couldn't go on the streets but this one you can. The only thing that is poor about this game is that you can't swim. BOO! The characters are just like the movie same characteristics. When your controlling the game it's like your in the movie actually their! I love this game. Must Buy!

I loved both movies, I never got the original game but I loved playing the demo on the DVD, I loved both games based on the cartoon, and I loved this game. The only problems that I have are:
1) When your on a mission to save someone or stop crime they are the same missions over and over and over again.
2) Alot of the characters are not from the movie but from the comic books and the cartoon. Other than that the game is great.
And if anyone can help me with one of the missions please reply because I have no idea how to finish the part of the mission when spiderman has to prove that he is for real and not a fake. Please if anyone knows how to clear that level please reply. Thank You. I think everyone should buy the game.

The game more fun than the last. Its fun being able to walk on the streets and not to be afraid to die when you get to close. Spiderman has some really cool moves. The controls are challenging at first. I broke the L2 button from playing the game on my controller. Finding the places to buy new abilities i had a hard time with and there didn't seem like that many to buy. I met two of the graphic designers and they were proud of the game and they also loved playing.

I love this game i love it i love it i love it. It is The coolest game ever so cool I was begging my mom to get it for me me on ebay. so it should be here in a few days! I just love this game so much the combos are awesome the tricks are awesome and you can even be like a pro wrestler and do the best move ever, THE PILE DRIVER!

This game is so cool you can do so many air combos and air tricks. You have infinete webbing this time and you can actually touch the ground without dying. I reccomend this game to everybody because it is so fun. If you go to easy swing by the time youve beaten rhino you should have the controls mastered like youve had the game all your life! Overall This Game is for anybody who has a life. By reading my review you should probably be thinking "Just imagine Spidey 3!"

Spider-man, our beloved Spider-man 2. You spin your web, any size, stick to walls, what's that? Just like flies? Yay, here comes the Spider-man.

And he's carrying a game. The game is Spider-man 2 (duh) and just as Spidey is a super-hero so is the game.
To be honest, there is really very little bad with this game. The cityscape is beautiful, the web slinging is top notch and fighting random crimes is excellent.

The web swinging is a bit of a "get used to it or get off it" system, because the controls involve pressing R2 to launch a web line, charging a jump during the swing and pressing L2 near the bottom to pick up speed and then releasing X at the bottom of the swing arc. Confused? I thought you might be.

After the initial 2 hours of hopelessly slamming into walls and tanking into the ground in a swan dive position, the game really starts to pick up. Including an amusing fight with Mysterio in a shop.

But.......

After all this praise surley I can squeeze in some criticism, but I'm not criticising. Let's say I'm critiquing.

Well, Spidey has been generated perfectly, but the pedestrians? They look like cardboard cut - out from the back of a cereal selection box. And then there's Peter, who seems to be mostly shoulder. And also looks more like Mr Blobby than Peter Parker.

Plus the challenges end up getting really boring after the umpteenth time you've done them. And of course there's the ball crunching task of finding the exploration tokens. All of them.

And also, the sound of a child crying constantly in your ear. Don't you get enough of that in one day?

So, if that's what being a super-hero's like, I'll take the game Spider-man, but you can keep your powers.

This game is very fun and very hard. I've beaten it only once and still trying to beat it twice. I even needed help from friends, a strategy guide and codes off the internet! It is very hard but very fun. If you get frusterated with hard stuff, than you might want to think twice before buying it. I suggest you rent it first from blockbuster. That's what I did. So good luck. It's a fun game!

Spider-man was a good game.You could do alot and do awesome combos but only one thing was missing....FREEDOM.That problem was fixed in Spider-man 2.Now you go around New York with no invisible walls and now you can go on the ground,unlike the first,where you go on the ground,you die.Also,now you have to web on to things to swing.The villians are:
Dr octopus,Shocker,Mysterio,and Rhino.Jumping is the basic jump and double jump,but now you can charge up your jump to go higher.And for those of you who are worried about loading times,their are none,the game just goes into the next chapter while you're playing.Fighting is awesome.you can do all these awesome moves and now,when you press o while your head is glowing,you can dodge attacks or counter-attack and also,webbing can be used for fighting.Their are no levels,no invisible walls,no loading times,just.......FREEDOM.

So thanks activison for fixing my problem and giving us...FREEDOM.

I really had fun working with the game. From training to protecting, it fun to work with Spider-Man. You can move all over Manhatten and save the world. The only thing I do not like is you could only get the the Statue of Liberty (chapter 9) when you have a mission there. You are suppose to be able to go any where, any time. You can go any where else, tall buildings, the tower, the boats and any where in between. I also found old villians from Spider-Man, Playstation 1.
