spider man 2 is awesome and the moves on there is great too but is out beating spider man 3 in its missions.on here you can do petty crimes(purple)and you can ask questions on here too on spider man 3 you cant do petty crimes or you cant use 4 web ups when you web up to 4 enemies.

so thats why spider man 2 is better than the 3 spider man and on spider man 3 you cant on to the statue of liberty.

this game was real fun and great

This was a really fun game the storymode was kinda weird but it was fun. When i first played this game i was real exited on how it was going to be then i really got into it when i was playing the storymode it was great. Part3 was a big let down that was bad but this and part1 was great i enjoyed both of them and i beat them they were really fun, so this was a fun game.

good things:

-spidey can go on the ground unlike the first game

-there are really cool combos you can do like hanging thugs on poles and pulling their guns away and stuff like that

bad things:

-the graphics are sooooo bad that if a friend came over and played this game they would say "i didnt know this was a playstation 1 game"

-the missions are sooooo repetitive that you can guess which one it will be

all in all its kinda fun but when your mom would call you up for supper you would say"im too busy beating up thugs i beat up 5 seconds ago"well maby you wouldnt say that exactly that but it would be close.nuff said!

Boring and Lame

I love Spidey, but this game really disappoints, unlike the first one you don't really fight anyone here, except Doc. You have to do over and over and over like 50 times each the same "clumsy" missions: catch a flying balloon, kick robbers behind, and delievering pizzas, it gets boring, the real mission are as lame as they can get. The "last" mission against Doc Ock is very tough, but not because its hard, but because the controls are not as responsive as you wish they were.
Rent it.

Spider-Man 2 is probably a lot better than most superhero movie video games, but overall it's a blast at first that quickly becomes tiresome. Swinging around Manhattan and being able to crawl up the Empire State Building (and jump if you so choose) is fun and battling random crimes, racing around the city, delivering pizzas, and (my favorite) catching runaway balloons for children is amusing...for a little while. Soon it becomes routine.

As for the story, it bears little resemblance to the movie, which is probably just as well. Most of the missions were terribly easy. I only had a little trouble getting the hang of breaking the orbs around the Mysterio statue's head and then I had a lot of problems with the final battle with Doc Ock. That's not because they're too difficult so much as I'm uncoordinated. This game should be extremely easy to beat for those who have good reflexes and can memorize fighting combos.

The graphics are lame. The voicework of Tobey Maguire and Alfred Molina was good, but Kirsten Dunst sounded almost unrecognizable at parts. Bruce Campbell is sometimes funny and sometimes annoying as the "Tour Guide" giving you advice on how to play.

Anyway, at this late date you can probably get the game cheap enough that the 5-6 hours of fun you'll get out of it are worth the price.

Not that great.

Although, very fun, it has many flaws. At first it seems to be great, but about halfway through glitches pop up everywhere (my disc has no scratches on it)! And why couldn't Actvision make the mouths move? But, worst of all, the fire graphics are horrible! It is still fun exploring New York though.

The best Spider-Man game of all time

Not all movie based and licensed games have to be completely average or just plain bad. Spider-Man 2 isn't just the best Spider-Man game of all time, it's possibly the best super hero game of all time as well. Stepping above and beyond the first game, Spider-Man 2 allows you to take on the role of the web-slinger as you swing and fight your way through a completely free roaming New York City. And when I say free roaming, I mean free roaming. For the first time ever in a Spider-Man game, you can touch down on the ground and interact with pedestrians and accomplish missions to earn points to build up your stats and abilities. Along the way, you'll take on villains such as the Rhino and Mysterio, and of course Doctor Octopus, and film stars Tobey Maguire, Kirstin Dunst, and Alfred Molina reprise their roles from the film (and the great Bruce Campbell is back as well as your helpful guide throughout the game). The voice acting is great, the graphics are pretty good while your swinging (once you hit the ground running some of the other character models become a bit blocky), but the biggest downside of Spider-Man 2 is that the missions get repetitive after a while. Mostly it's rescue him/her, beat up group of people that's jumping you, stop robbery, help out cops, etc, etc., but you can't argue with the overall package. Between the Spidey games and the X-Men Legends games (don't get me started on the X-Men 3 game though), Activision knows how to do licensed super hero games, and Spider-Man 2 remains the best Spidey game of all time. All in all, if you've never taken the game for a spin, what are you waiting for?
