This game is fun, and you will be stuck to it soon. My brother has it, and he lets me play it.

-You choose from Squirtle, Charmander, and Bulbasaur in the beginning as your first pokemon.
-My brother is CRAZY about a few pokemon, so I will tell you how to get them.
-The ONLY place to get a Pikachu is the right side of the Virditarian (or something similar to that) forest.
-The only place to get an Onix is in some cave to Lavender Town.
-There is a man there who changes names in Lavender town.
-To get a free bike, go to Cerulan (or something like that) city.
-Assuming you've learned CUT, go to the guy who really loves his "pokemon club" and talk to everyone. when he asks you a yes,or no Q,say yes. you dont have 2 read anything he says. then he will give you bike voucher.
-Learn CUT on the S.S. Ann. the first door to right when you first get on ship is excactly like a pokemon center.
-Always be at full health. On that ship you will fight your rival. You get to name him in the beginning.
-I recommend you choose bulbasaur as your first pokemon.

I think it's going to be a very good game!

The Greatest Pokemon Game EVER!

I'm a HUGE Pokemon fan, #1 to be exact. I've played through many Pokemon games which include Blue, Gold, Crystal, and Ruby. When I heard about the game coming out September 9, I got all crazy and when my family was strolling around Manhatten, I forced them into the Pokemon Center and got my mom to pre-order the game. I got my copy on August 28th, earlier then I expected. I played the game and it was awesome! The wireless adapter was a great idea, though, I visited the Union Room many times and no one was there. It works best in a resturant or a traffic jam. I currently have LeafGreen and I'm getting FireRed for Christmas and I can't wait!

This game is good! The bad things are that it doesnt have secret bases and you can only go to kanto and the seven islands.

This game is a awesome replay of pokémon blue, red and yellow but this game seems slightly easier than the last lot. I enjoyed the old pokémon games but once Ruby and Sapphire came out I got bored of them and this is just another games with pikachu and charizard in it instead mudkip and torchic. And there is a new pokémon game coming out soon. Emerald. Go buy that one instead of this one. It's pretty good but not good enough.

Pokemon Leaf Green ROCKS!

I have the pokemon ruby game, and its AWESOME! my best friend is CRAZED with pokemon! She was the one who got me into it. (And yes, I'm a girl too.) When I heard about the leaf green version, i thought, "Oh, it will probably be like all the others." Well, I was wrong. My friends dad works for the company I think, and she has the game, because she gets to test out all the new games and stuff. So I thought, "Ok, well I'll just go over and try it. I mean, its pokemon, how bad can it be?!" SO i went over, and stayed an extra TWO HOURS because I couldn't stop playing my gameboy. It takes place in the Kanto regoin, like in Red and Blue, but has seven new rainbow islands. It has a lot of good graphics, and you can choose a name for your rival! (I'm pretty sure you can't do that in any other pokemon game...) Its really good, and I advise it to any one, girl or boy, and any age. (Unless you're two......)
Oh yeah! And, it comes with a wireless adaptor, that can let you battle and talk with people you DON'T KNOW in a range around you! It's good to do it in traffic, or in a crowded area. It's really fun, and I think everyone will enjoy it!

Fun

This game is really good I just got my copy yesterday and I am very impressed even if it is a remake of the old ones. The only thing that really bugged me is that the wireless link cable takes up a lot of room and it only has a 10 feet radius. So it dosent go very far and theres really no point in the whole chat thing which by the way is really dumb because you have to hit every individual letter, talk about a long conversation. Also why whould they have chat I mean the person in ten feet away there is no need for it unless you are deaf. And then there is the whole like 50 people in the union room so there would be 50 people standing 10 feet away from eachother. The wireless cable was a good idea but unless you can walk and play your gameboy at the same time then you probobly wont like it. It needs to have a bigger radius.

A quick remake - stick to Ruby or Sapphire

I bought this game the day it came out, and was I ever wrong about doing that! This game is basically just a quick throw together effort by Nintendo to capitalize on the renewed popularity that Ruby and Sapphire brought to the game. I mean consider this. Time between Crystal and Ruby about 3 years. Time between Ruby and Leaf Green - half of that. The improvements that were made to the Ruby/Sapphire version are severely lacking here. The Wireless adapter is pretty much a non factor. Unless you're in a Pokemon League and are around many people at once who would be playing this, it's not really good for much else. I feel that too much emphesis was put on getting the product out to the public first, with little thought to improving the game. Basically here's my thought which has been backed up by other players - if you've beat Ruby and Sapphire, why bother? But if you never played the earlier games, maybe this will be new and interesting to you. Also, if you enjoy battling endless amounts of trainers - this game is for you. Otherwise, don't bother!!!
