The title is misleading. It doesn't come with a wireless adapter. I returned it to amazon because it doesn't match the description and, they just sent me another one without a video adapter.

A quick remake - stick to Ruby or Sapphire

I bought this game the day it came out, and was I ever wrong about doing that! This game is basically just a quick throw together effort by Nintendo to capitalize on the renewed popularity that Ruby and Sapphire brought to the game. I mean consider this. Time between Crystal and Ruby about 3 years. Time between Ruby and Leaf Green - half of that. The improvements that were made to the Ruby/Sapphire version are severely lacking here. The Wireless adapter is pretty much a non factor. Unless you're in a Pokemon League and are around many people at once who would be playing this, it's not really good for much else. I feel that too much emphesis was put on getting the product out to the public first, with little thought to improving the game. Basically here's my thought which has been backed up by other players - if you've beat Ruby and Sapphire, why bother? But if you never played the earlier games, maybe this will be new and interesting to you. Also, if you enjoy battling endless amounts of trainers - this game is for you. Otherwise, don't bother!!!

Basically a rental title

I rented this once at gamefly(like netflix, only you rent games), and when I rented this title, I thought I was in for a surprise. But all it is is a remake of blue and red. Although I played a decent amount of hours, the new islands of new pokemon give the game a little better replay value.

Same as red and blue

This game is really good I just got my copy yesterday and I am very impressed even if it is a remake of the old ones. The only thing that really bugged me is that the wireless link cable takes up a lot of room and it only has a 10 feet radius. So it dosent go very far and theres really no point in the whole chat thing which by the way is really dumb because you have to hit every individual letter, talk about a long conversation. Also why whould they have chat I mean the person in ten feet away there is no need for it unless you are deaf. And then there is the whole like 50 people in the union room so there would be 50 people standing 10 feet away from eachother. The wireless cable was a good idea but unless you can walk and play your gameboy at the same time then you probobly wont like it. It needs to have a bigger radius.

So So Remake

I've been playing Pokemon since the beginning, and I love the recent innovations to the game, however Leaf Green does not bring much to the table. It is a complete repeat of the Red/blue/yellow games, with better graphics and sound. I did like Kanto and was glad they brought it back, but I thought some of the game would be updated. All of the story lines are exactly the same as well, word for word. I actually used my Pokemon Yellow book to help me. One of the only new features to the game is the running shoes, which add much more to the sometimes staggering slow pace of the storyline in Kanto. There is also the addition of the VS Seeker to replay trainers, but it takes awhile to recharge it and you can only battle trainers right near you when you turn it on.

I also found that some of the Pokemon seemed much weaker in this remake, and harder to level. I picked Bulbasaur as my starter, and it took me several tries (at about a level 65 or so) to beat the elite four. I don't remember having that many problems beating them with Venusaur before.

In general, it's not a great game storyline wise, but it's a great addition to anyone who really wants to "catch em all", and the wireless adapter is very important for this whole series of games, as well as to recieve special nintendo events onto your games such as the mystic ticket to get Lugia and Ho-oh.

Nintendo Loves Remakes

It't not a big secret that Nintendo has no shame in remaking its classic titles for new systems with a few added features. Yes, they have added a few new things onto the old game, but at its core, it's still just a rehash of Red/Blue. The adapter is nice, but not worth much, nintendo doesnt have a great track record with supporting add-ons like this, this game is a remake after all, and a remake of a game that can still be found for cheap at any EB World or Babbages. Dont get me wrong, the pokemon games are very fun and addictive games, If you havent played the original, add two stars to the review, this is a great game, and with the extra features and adapter should be a really good purchase, but if u have been into the poke-craze long enough to recite the "poke-rap" then u might want 2 think twice

Pokemon Green: Remake but best

Rumors have been spread that this game, when it comes out, will be boreing since its a remake of the original versions Red, Blue, and Green, but its not. The game takes place in Kanto and is like the other four, but seven new islands called the Rainbow Islands, have been added so you can collect them all. Plus, this game has all the pokemon, but you have to trade to get them all. I have played it in both english and Japenese ( people have translated it) and it is a quite decent game. Plus you can get National Dex so all 386 pokemon can be displayed once you have 60 pokemon and challenge the Elite Four twice with more powers and techniques the seond time. Its a lot of fun and it has the best graphics ever and it talks and has chat!!! I cant wait till September 9th!!! Im buying mine now and its gonna be great!!!! Trust Me!!! I have played it!!!
