This is the most auesome game on N64. The graphics are great and the game is great. It isn't too hard, but it is not easy either. It has one fault the camera angles are horrible

Fun, but creepy

This game is awesome, but when I got to the guy with the big, sharp teeth comin' at you. I couldn't play it until the days were over for me to take it back to blockbuster. It was fun, though. Anyway, that scared me when I was around 8 years old. I'm thinking to buy it soon. If you don't want to play "The Cave Of Bad Dreams", where the teeth guy is at, for the PC, press "Esc", then type, "gothere". Then choose which level you want. But not The Cave Of Bad Dreams.

It's plain amazing

Rayman 2 is a great game. You can water ski, kill pirates, and many other things. And you even get friends to help you. It has a very good story. UBI Soft did a very good job on this game

Rayman 2 is a decent game. I bought this game mostly for my younger brother, but ended up playing it a lot myself, remembering the first Rayman game I had on PC a few years earlier.
The graphics on this game are some of the best suited for the N64. There are other games, with better graphics, but those are games like Perfect Dark, which has realistic characters that under 64 bit graphics still look choppy and somewhat ugly compared to the newer consoles. Rayman 2's graphics are cartoonish in nature, so the lower quality display does not effect them too much, therefore the game wouldn't look all that much better on the PS2 or Gamecube.
The one thing that I did have a problem with in this game was the camera! The camera usually places itself dirrectly behind the character, but seems to have a mind of it's own 75% of the time. And although you can control it to an extent, it always snaps back to the over the shoulder view once you start moving again.
All in all a good game, both for younger gamers, and older gamers who just want to goof off and have a little fun.

what a game!

it wuz my b-day, and i wuz waiting to go to the mall wit my friends and my dad, then i went on over to electronic boutique.saw rayman 2,and bought it along wit the strategy guide. i didn't play it for a week cuz i needed a memory card and then i started to play. I have played this game 9 times and gotten all 1001 lums in each world....it's that fun...without getting old, that's the good thing, replay value is hard to make for video games today..but wit the help of games like rayman 2 and tony hawk pro skater...we'll be able to make better games.also..for the 64, this has some nice clean enviroments and the characters have been drawen with originality....instead of simple goofy characters that are really corny looking. the game has enuff gameplay into it u can play it ne time u want without gettin bored..all i can say is dish out sum money for a game that will be worth the purchase

Can't go anywhere

I bought N64 Rayman 2 the great escape for my 5-year old grandson. I have to play first before I can teach my grandson
how to play. I got problem at the very begining. After Rayman's
first action to crash a pirate cage and catch the first lum, he
fall into a river. I know where Rayman suppose to go. But the walls are too high. I spent three days try to jump up to that
plateform, but I could not do it. This game probably will not
play again.

Awesome game, but way too short

I think that the purpose of renting games is to see if they're good, if you like the plot, controls, graphics, etc. Just to get a feel for what the games about and if its worth buying, but not to beat it. I rented this game from blockbuster, and without paying much attention to it beat it in two days. It was so fun, but so pitifully easy. If the next three Rayman games that come out are as easy as this, I'll have devoted the same amount of time to beating four games ... to one regular game.... So nintendo makes an awesome game but breaks it up into four pitifully easy games and makes four times the money. If you have a hard time beating video games, this is a great one for you. If you have yet to find a decent challenge this is not it. It is a very good game with especially good characters and sound, but with a giant flaw.

And I Thought The Dreamcast Vertion Was Bad!

Although a lot of people liked this game I hated it. For one thing this game was WAAAAYYYYYY too easy (I beat this game in three days playing only 1 hour a day! The first game had me playing for mounths! )! You're supposed to find this fairy to give you all your powers back, and yet you start the game with all your powers! Plus I don't care how good the graphics are, Rayman does NOT look good in 3D and does not belong in 3D! So get the first game, I don't recomend this game to ANYONE! And you know what's worse? This Nintendo 64 vertion looks WORSE and plays WORSE than the Dreamcast vertion! Now that's sad (Even though I never liked N64).

this is one of the best games I ever played
